"These guys suck. waited almost 5 weeks and never got a tracking number. I finally emailed and attempted to cancel the order b/c I had no tracking info, and they replied saying it would be difficult to cancel the order as it was processing in their warehouse. I waited almost another 2 weeks and still no tracking so I finally cancelled the order. Actually found the same Audiocontrol unit on ebay for 5$ less and ordered it from there. Only order from them if you live within driving distance of their warehouse."

"DO NOT ORDER FROM DEALER COST CAR AUDIO! DCCA's dishonest approach is ruining the trust that online retailers have tried hard to establish with consumers. My story was similar to all the others here with hearing nothing but lies from "Robert". What's their rating on the Better Business Bureau website? F Translation: BBB assigns grades from A to F with pluses and minuses. A+ is the highest grade and F IS THE LOWEST. The grade represents BBB’s degree of confidence that the business is operating in a trustworthy manner and will make a good faith effort to resolve any customer concerns.

There's a reason they have an F. I'm going elsewhere and paying a few extra dollars so I can have some trust and confidence in my retailer.

"this guy said he was going to refund my money but he didn't of course why would he if he ripped me off in the first place right?? Please for your own good STAY AWAY form this "business". this guy seriously need to get a life, he is about as worthless as they get. So if you do end up buying something from him sorry you didn't read the reviews first. But maybe he can use my 350 bucks towards a new set of teeth??"

"Placed and order for a complete stereo system for my son for a Christmas present. Nothing ever happened. Tried to communicate with them over the phone which they have set up most of the time to just hang up on you. Finally, thru tons a terrible customer service I got most of the stuff. However it's Febuary 8th and I still have not recieved to AMP that was suppose to go with the order. They were suppose to refund the money for the AMP since Jan. 25. Nothing yet. Now they do not even respond to e-mails. They should be barred from the internet. We are going to try to call their local police and see if they can help. This has been going on since Dec.11,2009."

"DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!!!! I cannot stress this enough!!!! I placed my order on 11/12 and it took them literally minutes to charge my credit card and send me an email confirmation. Seems okay so far, right? WRONG! The email confirm means nothing. It's not a guarantee of anything except them taking your $$. In fact if you read it and here's the fine print (verbatim): "If you do not receive a shipped email and tracking number within 7 business days of your purchase, please feel free to reply to this order confirmation email for questions on why your order may not be on it's way. We will more than happy to assist you with any possible delays."

What they don't tell you is that no one will answer your email or your chat or return your phone calls.

I finally had my email answered on (Wed) 11/25 and was told my order would be shipping either that Fri or Mon. They said they would take an additional $20-$30 off my order (TBD at ship time) and upgrade me from Ground to 2 day shipping.

Well on 12/1 I received an email with my tracking # (marked pending) and on 12/4 my order still hadn't shipped. Several irate email later, they finally agree to my cell phone and review my order. It's now 12/7 and I have received no phone call. I send more irate emails and attempt to call customer service again. I waited for 32 mins for a rep then as he reviewed my order I was on hold an additional 23 until I was disconnected. I then canceled my order via email and over the phone. I told them I would be placing a dispute with my CC. They finally told me not to do that b/c my order would be shipping by midnight that night (12/7). Of course, I didn't believe them and followed through with my cancellation. Since I considered my order canceled, I proceeded to buy my Sony stereo from another vendor, who said it was in stock and would ship that day. AND IT DID! 3 days later I received my stereo from a Buy.com vendor. 2 days after that I received my stereo from DCCA. I went through the roof!!! I tried to contact them to get a return shipping label, which they would not provide, but despite my better judgment I returned it anyway. Now they have their stereo back I have still not received a credit (partly Discover's fault there though for completely mishandling my dispute.)

Please heed this advice. I truly wish I had read these reviews before dealing with this "company". They are just a bunch of thieves.

"CROOKS CROOKS CROOKS!!! do not order from these mofos. i ordered because of the price but like everyone else says you don't get your order or your money. they will give all these excuses that its back ordered or its at an another warehouse blah blah blah. they will just take your money and not give you your stuff. they told me that they were going to refund their money but i am starting to think i am not going to get my money back. have contacted my bank, lawyer and a few bad people i know in cali to get after them. i am currently trying to track their merchant service provider. they are going to mess with the wrong people and get hurt someday. its not that difficult to track people down in the USA. oh and i think all those people that are writing the good reviews work for them. "

"I purchased a Pioneer Head Unit on 2/5/10 around 9 am. Instantly the amount was taken from my card!! The same night at 10:30pm I recieve an email saying there is a security issue and they cannot confirm that the card used matches my identity and the order has been cancelled!! Expect 1-3 days for the bank to stop the pending order!! If you cant match my identity to my card then why did you take the money out ASAP?? Doesnt make alot of since to me, I wish I had read the reviews!! Order still pending in my bank I will wait to see if it is refunded or if I will have to talk to the fraud dept. at my bank!! My friend uses this site and said that it was good, so I trusted him!! Next time I will have to read the reviews!!! Hope this helps some people!!"

"I read the review before mine - my experience was almost identical. Cliff notes:

More than 1 month without ever receiving my order.
Support said "Product backordered" - product was actually discontinued...
Asked for updates - never received any.
Asked for refund after a month, it's been 1 week since they said the order was "Cancelled", but my money hasn't been refunded.

Customer Support doesn't pick up the phone... There's someone who sounds like the hulk on a recording who urges you to use email instead. They do respond to emails - generally within 24 hours.

Don't expect proactive customer service - you know, the kind where they reach out to YOU to tell you why your order hasn't showed up after 2 weeks.

Absolutely the worst retail experience I've had in a long time. Hoping I can get my money back soon so I can put this exchange to bed.

"If you are planning to order from dealer cost car audio, do so with caution, they offer low prices, but problems can easily arise and are hard to deal with. I spent 2 months trying to get a refund back for an order I cancelled, continuously being told that I was "gonna see it soon" I finally had enough and desputed the transaction and got my money back. Please be aware that you get what you pay for DCCA can offer low prices, but there are high risks involved that you might not get you order or money back. In top of this they asked me to edit or delete this review because instead of improving their company, they want other future customers to be ignorant of the dangers of DCCA so they can cause them problems too."

"WHY DID I NOT READ THE REVIEWS FIRST? I'll tell you why, because the price was too good. I ordered Python alarm system online. A week later e-mailed to see why it had not shipped, and got the same backorder story I read about here. I canceled my order near the end of third week and still have no confirmation that it was canceled. They charged my card the day I placed an order on 11th. There was no warning about any backorders, communication was very poor with customer service. Reading the reviews here I now know that I will have to go to the bank to recover my $324.00

Update: After posting this review, I was immidiately contacted by the company sales manager (Robert). He canceled the order and refunded my money, which was credited to my account today 01/03/10. He did apologize!

"I wound up cancelling my order because it had not been shipped more than a month after I ordered it. They originally indicated that the car stereo would be shipped within seven business days. That, obviously, wasn't done. When I contacted them two weeks after I ordered the product, they told me it was on backorder and expected to send it out within the next week. When that promise went unfulfilled, I contacted them again, and was told it should go out in 1-2 days. Obviously, that never happened and they offered no solution to the problem. That prompted me to look at other reviews written about this company and I saw my situation was, by no means, uncommon. I contacted my credit card company, who agreed to credit my card and dispute the charge with this company. I'll be interested to see of they put up a fight. From now on, I will read the seller reviews before buying anything on line. I will also NEVER purchase anything from this company again!"

"i contacted them after 9 days of them not emailing me a tracking #. then i tried to call their customer service and called 3 days in a row for about 45min a day and still couldn't get thru. after i had sent several emails, they said that it would be shipped out tomorrow(which was 13 days after i ordered it). once the next day came it still wasn't shipped out. i then canceled the order. they made me feel like they didn't care that i was their customer"
