"I tried to purchase a Python 991 car alarm, window roll up module and trunk popper, but the company failed to ship.
The web site is nice, but getting a hold of people is very difficult. They were not up front about the fact that the alarm was backordered. They promised to ship, but never did.
The company did not indicate that the alarm was back ordered on their website at the time of purchase. The company also did not notify me that the product was backordered. I emailed a sales person, who said that they would substitute a different alarm, but their choice was an old product. I tried to cancel my order on 12-4-9, but was told that the product would ship on Monday and they were going to next day the order to me. I waited another week and received nothing.

The company offered a comparble substitue when I asked to cancel. I chose not to accept. The company quickly canceled and refunded my money.
***Conclusion***
This company does not have control of its products and does not indicate on its site if a product is backordered. Customer service was good, meaning that the people are polite and to want to help, BUT contacting anyone via telephone is very unlikely. Email was relatively prompt. I do not believe
I will work with this company again until product availability is displayed on the site and telephone service improves."
"BEWARE!! CROOKS! THIEVES! I ordered a JVC car stereo for $148.99 in August hoping to get it in within a couple of weeks. I waited and waited and waited. I've sent a great number of emails and Dealer Cost Car Audio always responded quickly with the promise that I would have it within X number of days. It never came- it NEVER came. Months went by and it was always the same thing: "it's coming"! Several weeks ago I began demanding my money back. Now the same thing is happening. "It's coming" but after exchanging many emails again- I still do now have a refund. I am so angry I could spit! It's so crazy! They respond quickly to every email I send, but all I get is an empty promise. Do not under any circumstances but a nickels worth of anything from these crooks!"
"Wow, I wish I would have read all of these before I placed my order. There is no doubt in my mind that this company is either bogus or is run out of someone's basement. I placed an order on November 18 for 2 sets of car speakers. I didn't hear anything about the order until the 28th... after I made contact with them and of course the item was backordered. I cancelled my order the next day and requested a refund. 2 days after my request, i receive two emails only a few hours apart from each other. The first asks if im sure i dont need the speakers and the second says that my order has now shipped. The next day i called and was told that they had contacted Alpine's Warehouse and that Alpine has agreed to ship them directly to me as soon as they process the request which could take a couple days since there are just soooo many orders for these particular speakers. Wait, doesn't that mean the order hasn't actually shipped? Now i know why they dont answer the phone...theyre afraid of getting their stories mixed up! I requested they contact Alpine and stop the order since they said it would be a few more days, which should be plenty of time. I got a response saying they would do their best but the 2 requests might overlap and the speakers could still ship out. To get things straight, I called Alpine... THEY HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THIS COMPANY AN THEY HAVE ABSOLUTELY NEVER DONE BUSINESS WITH THEM!!! I'm still waiting for a resolution but i have contacted my bank and filed complaints with the US Attorney Generals office and many consumer protection agencies. I suggest you do the same because this company has no intention of filling any order thats placed.

If it was true that I decided to cancel my order half way through the process, I would have nothing bad to say about this company but this was not the case. The order was cancelled only after I was informed the items were backordered... like everyone elses. Then I was told a request had been put in to the other building that handles shipping and the product could still ship because of the "high volume" of orders an requests they must process. The point is- I CANCELLED BEFORE THE ORDER LEFT THE WAREHOUSE! There is no excuse for that to happen. If DCCA further contests this point, i can always post the emails. "
"I ordered JL Audio CS210RG-W3v3-2 from them on October 3rd while I was deployed. It is now December 9th, I'm back in the states and I still haven't received the item I purchased two months ago. Over the course of two months, I was given the run around. During these two months, I was told everything from, "There was a slight delay from JL Audio", "Will confirm", "I appreciate your patience, we are working on it immediately", "Waiting on tracking, give it two to three days", and finally my favorite, "We can try to cancel, but this is a special order, so I cannot guarantee it. It is best honestly if you see a different setup you like, we can ship."
I was told the "Waiting on tracking, give it two to three days" once back in October, and then again at the beginning of this month when I returned from deployment. All conversations had to be initiated by me, which shows me that DEALER CAR COST AUDIO knows nothing about customer service. Their sub-par service clearly reflects on The Better Business Bureau website. I wanted to cancel my two month old order and receive a refund in full, but decided to to go through with the order because I was told my item would be able to ship this week. I was told there would not be a problem with my item arriving today (Dec 9th); however, when I contacted DEALER CAR COST AUDIO about my item arriving today, they responded with "I am checking with our shipping department." I've had enough of this predicament, and I asked for a refund in full. They cannot guarantee one because I have a "special order" item. "
"HORRIFIC - absolute worst most riduculous experience onine ever - it is so absurd, I don't even know where to begin, but basically, I don't believe these people don't ship product - in fact, I don't think this is anything more than one person - I tried calling to get the shipping information on my package numerous times on different days, and not a single person ever picked up the phone, I stayed on hold 10 minutes the first couple times, then hung up after 30 minutes on the 4th attempt, I stayed holding just to see how long it would take for someone to pick up, but no one did, there is no one there!! during the recording while you're on hold, it says the best way to get service is through email - the reviews are so ridiculous too as many have mentioned, they're totally made up unless they're 1 star, I'd give 0 if you could - this company does not own product, but the lone employee, who calls himself a "sales manager", told me they had this product which would ship within several days of me placing the order - they run your card then probably put in a bulk order from China - so, if you were to get any product from them, prepare to wait for months, the couple bucks you might save a totally not worth it - only online could a company this pathetic exist and I wish I would have seen the reviews before ordering."
"Since Dealer cost car audio complained that I violated this ratings site policies by pointing people to a site that actually fills orders and doesn't just take money from people and use it as a loan for as long as they can get away with it. I now have to write a new review. It isn't going to be any better this time around. I would never order anything from this rip off "company", ever. And I would suggest anyone and everyone else to not do so either.
They actually asked me to change my review when they gave me my money back, like they did me a favor. I couldn't believe the gall of these people. The way I think these guys operate is to get loads of people to pay them for a product and then use that money to either invest or just put in a bank and make interest off the money until the customer complains enough that they return the money. Unless you want to be a bank for some scumbag people I would suggest you stay far far away from this so called "company".
By the way if you want to actually get something for your money then go to another company. I ordered from another company and in less than one week I had my order in hand, not over two months with nothing but frustration. I can't say the name because this will be removed if I do.
I also filed a complaint with the FTC and I would suggest everyone else to do the same, maybe we can run these thieves out of business. I find it very peculiar that every order from this "company" is on back order. That tells me that they don't have any products at all but are just trying to scam people out of their money.
If you would like to file another complaint with another site concerning this company, (which I have done), go back to http://www.dealercostcaraudio.com/ and look at the right hand side below the shop by manufacturer text. You will see a gold star looking symbol. Click on that and then click on certified store rating FAQ. Then click on the right hand side under Alert! Customer help. The customer help section will open and then click on e-mail support and e-mail them with your concerns. I asked them the question as to how they can let this company use their logo. I'm sure if enough of us ask the question they will listen. I also pointed them to this site. Maybe you could as well. I purposly left out the name of the company so Dealer cost couldn't complain about a violation of the policy. Although the site is on their own page. I did the same with the seal on the left side, just so you know that you can also.
I'd like to add that if you set the page on this site to view the ratings starting with the highest you will see that there is only 1.5 pages of good reviews. The rest are 2 stars or worse. If I could have given this company no stars I would have but that isn't an option on this site.
And for those at dealer cost car audio, if you complain about this review and have it removed somehow, I will add another and another and another and they won't be any better. I won't stop to try and put you out of business, you screwed with the wrong guy on this one. I'm like an elephant, I never forget....."
"If you want to be robbed, cheated and spend a lot of anger buy something at DCCA. The service is terrible, not answer the phone, are slow to answer e-mail and answer all the same "Just let us know what to do." or "You will see it within 2-3 business days."
The best thing to do is contact your credit card company and cancel the purchase as soon as possible. Do not waste your time waiting for the product.
Another thing, check all the names that gave a good review. Everyone must be fake, because the names always have numbers at the end. Names appear in the sequence created. With the DCCA everything is possible. These users were created in the days that posted the review, very suspicious"
"DO NOT ORDER FROM DCCA. My son placed order on 10/03/09 and has not received order yet. Has been told items were on back order, items were in but bottleneck in warehouse is causing delay, would send upgraded speakers due to delay, and etc., etc. On 11/23/09 we were notified that a UPS Tracking number had been issued, but UPS only shows "Billing Information Received". Called UPS to confirm that no item had been shipped, even-though DCCA shows it as shipped. Called DCCA Customer Service today. Waited 52 minutes, then Rep answered, said he needed to review order with Manager and put me on hold. I then waited for 58 minutes until suddenly the line hung up. Tried again, this evening and waited 50+ minutes, until the phone battery died. It is laughable. Upon further research of this company, they have had 403 BBB complaints. I will be 404. Please do not order from them.//////////////Please note that within 5 minutes after posting this review, I received a call from DCCA stating that they were shipping the order to night and that the UPS tracking info would be updated over night showing proof of shipment. One of the tweeters I got was defective, I sent it in 4 months ago, the "sales manager" Robert keeps giving me the run around. Everytime I email him he says it will be in next week. "I don't recommend at all that anyone use this company. I've ordered my speakers in July as listed and it is now December and still no speakers. I ve been in talks with management for a month assuring me there being sent but not actually giving me a date of shipment. When I ask when there managements response is always soon and still nothing. So my answer to you is no way do I recommend this company. If you wondering why the reason is simply I'm on the road alot. It seems to me that they spent most of their time writing bogus reviews. Hence the fact that e-mail is the only way to make contact(because they are always on the computer, no time to pick up the phone). Interesting, huh. THIS COMPANY IS A FRAUD. STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS. After Robert found out that I had told my CC company to dispute the charges he said he could now ship the entire order. That was 10 minutes after I got off the phone with my CC company. And 12 hours after I sent him an email asking were the order was. 12 hours and 52 days.
