"I purchased a Sager 5680, 1 gig ram, 2.8 ghz P4, 15" 1600x1200 display, etc. DiscountLaptops.com had a very straightforward configurator and the lowest prices I found for this great hardware. "Purchased a Sager 4760 with 512 Ram, a P4, integated wireless ethernet, cd-rw/dvd-rom, etc. I did the most amount of research possible on this machine with this configuration and found the best price at DiscountLaptops.com. I researched every if not most the most resellers of whatever version of the 4760 they might have, contacted them, asked questions, viewed their rankings here, ranked random aspects about them myself, and chose Discountlaptops.com. My savings difference from the next reseller might have been only $25, but it was $25 in my pocket to put towards my wireless router.

The people were nice - I specifically was helped by Beth who communicated back and forth to the owner, Matt, about my order. I wanted the cash discount so tried to skip the whole bank-wire transfer thing (they charge the difference of what would be paid in cash for that at my bank) and instead tried to deposit the cash directly into Discountlaptops.com's account. After that didn't work I tried the same with a cashier's check to no avail. This process proved a little frustrating because I still had to get the cashier's check and send it out, which is a hassle since I was in New York City and my bank was not, meaning more travel and timeneeded to get that done, but in the end it was my fault for trying to skip a step.

The salesperson (Beth) worked with me though and sent the machine through a secure cash payment and I had it in my hands not long after.

I am happy with the machine, and I'm sure any problems would be handled by them expiditiously.
