"I have been an online custom for the more than 10 years. I rarely wrote a negative comment because I was careful where to order and never had any significant problem in the past. Not until I ordered the parts from drivewire.com this time.
I ordered two front rotors and two rear rotors on August 3. The parts arrived in two days with fast delivery. But the front rotors looked awfully big. I didn’t realize they were the wrong parts in the boxes with the right part numbers. It was my first time to change rotors myself. Obviously it did not fit the car when the old rotor was removed.
I called drivewire and gave the part number and explained the situation on August 12. They sent the replacement parts right away and also arranged to pick up the wrong parts. Pretty good service so far, I thought. When the replace part arrived it looked about the right size and I returned the wrong parts back. I spent the weekend taking the old rotors down and putting the new parts on. When I tested drive the car the front wheel couldn’t move. I took the wheel down again and looked carefully at the rotors. It suddenly came to me the replacement rotors were wrong again and they send me another set of rear rotors!!! The front and rear rotor are about the same size with slightly different specs. I wish I checked the part more carefully.
At this stage, I have two sets of rear rotors and no front rotors. I called them again on Monday (August 17) trying to find a solution. My call was either hang up during the middle of conversion or wasn’t answered at all. One person said he would call me back and never did. I also send two emails on August 17 and 18. I didn’t get any email reply either. They simply chose to ignore me.
In the end I had no choice but to order from another vendor (amazon.com) the front rotors. My warning to people who want to order from this website is that you’d better hope to get the right parts the first time. If things go wrong, the customer service is just not there and you may end up paying much more. I discovered Amazon has the same rotor parts I wanted and 20% cheaper in the end.
You can imagine it was quite frustrating experience. I spent many many extra hours trying to take the old rotors off and tried the new parts and ended up put old rotors back on again when I realized the new parts were the wrong parts.
I did check drivewire ratings at resellerrratings.com before I placed the order. What’s misleading are 80+% positive feedbacks. But if you read a little more about the negative comments you can see lots of people had similar bad experience to what I had with custom service. The happy customers were the ones who fortunately got the right parts the first time.

"I have bounced back and forth between drivewire, and bavauto for the last several months.. Drivewire is usually a bit cheaper, and offers free shipping on larger orders, but bavauto has a larger inventory on bmw's. If drivewire has my part they will get my business."

"Product arrived very quickly, that's good.
However this past Friday I tried calling the company, followed the voice prompts to the appropriate department and was then kept on hold only to be disconnected. This happened three times. My last call I went straight to sales and was on hold for over an hour. The system kept telling me how important my business was and that I was number two in the que and then next in line. I held and held and held. At 5pm there close of business my call was disconnected. To say I was upset would be an understatement.
On this friday, there customer service was a complete JOKE. Bad Bad. I'll give them one more shot, if anything close to this happens, that will be it. I plan on spending a bit of money fixing up my Maxima. I wonder if I'll spend any nore of it with drivewire?"

"1st June ordered Merc parts. Waited two months but none arrived. Was told the parts were returned to stock but no reason given as to why. Told a refund was sent but it has not been received. no replies to any e-mails. still no refund received ...I think we might be caught in a scam as it is now August 18th - still no reply to our e-mails, no Merc parts and no refund. We even e-mailed the owner of the company but nothing! We are over $800 down !!!"
