"Cancelled my order without even notifying me!"
"TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE company. If you buy from them you must be VERY careful. Today I discovered a $12.00 charge from Complete Savings CT. Upon closer examination of my credit card, I noticed this charge for the past several months. I called the company number listed with the charge and asked who they were and why they were charging me. They said that I had signed up for their service through Drugstore.com with whom they are partnered. (There's zero chance I would have knowingly done this.) I immediately demanded a refund, for which I now have to submit an affidavit. I then called Drugstore.com to complain and they were quite defensive and said that they were no longer partnered with Complete Savings. While filling out the affidavit tonight, I noticed that Complete Savings' parent company is WebLoyalty.com. I visited Drugstore.com and upon further investigation noticed that they are now partnered with WebLoyalty.com for special offers. Bottom line: They're signing people up for "special offers" AFTER the initial transaction and WITHOUT any credit card commitment for future charges! "
"I have been a customer of Drugstore.com perscription service forthe past 9 months. I have ordered 3 sets of 90 day refills. Each of these orders were accompanied with numerous headaches, and frustrations on my part as well as excuses on their part as to why my order did not go smoothly.
Orders online are supposed to be processed and delivered in 10-14 days.
Our first order's perscriptions were misplaced due to a changeover in their tracking system. Our doctor faxed the perscriptions 3 times before they actually made it into the new system of a)removal from the fax machine, b)into our paper file, and c)over to the pharmacist. This process took over 23 days from order to delivery.
The second order was placed online again, and 12 days later I was notified there were no refils. After contacting the doctor they claimed to have checked the refil boxes but faxed tham all again (4th time). After numerous phone calls to customer service representatives who had no ability to service customers, the order arrived 18 days after it was placed.
This last order I placed well before we actually needed the perscriptions. I recieved and email saying it was too early to refill. Having no insurance, and experiencing the previous delays, I again called customer service. I spoke to a customerservice representative who said she would process the order to go out the following day. The folowing day I recieved another email saying 2 were processed but one was too early. I again explained there was no insurance, therfore no problem but was told Ohio state law prohibited them from sending the one perscription for gemfibrozil before the 90 day window. After explaining it was for high cholesterol, and not a narcotic and I didn't understand the issue, I was told she would contact a pharmacist for a signature and then it could be sent, (can pharmacists override state law?), and if there was a problem, I would be called the following morning.
Hearing nothing I believed we would receive our order shortly.
The next day, 2 days after the promise of shipping, I received an email saying one had been shipped, but 2 were too early. I called again and was told 2 had been shipped in seperate boxes the day before (I wondered why seperatedly, but elected to not ask), and one was in processing and would be shipped this afternoon. I am not convinced until I see 3 boxes.
Every 3 months I dread dealing with them. I also check very carefully what pills I receive, and do not trust the label. I am serously considering paying the 40% more and having them filled at my local pharmacy. In my opinion, the discount in price is a direct reflection of the discounted service."
"Although I have ordered items from Drugstore.com several times over the years, I am so angry with their recent "sale" scam that I will never order from them again. They advertised a $50 off coupon on orders totaling over $50. I placed my order 5 days ago and received a confirmation email immediately after placing the order. Since I never received an email about my order having been shipped I logged into my account to see the status of my order. To my surprise the order had been canceled. They did NOT send an email of any kind to inform me of the cancellation. I called customer service to find out the story and was told that they had more responses than expected and decided not to fulfill orders. I complained that I never received an email that they had canceled my order simply because they decided not to honor their coupon after the fact. I told the service rep I would never order from them again and I certainly won't! It seems to me this kind of practice should be illegal."
"Drugstore.com does not ship items you purchased on sale. They will cancel your part of the order that was on sale. Charge you for full price items. Unfair business practices. I'll never shop with them again. Online Crooks. An actual store will never do that to their customers."
"I have to agree with the other reviews on here. Dishonest, untrustworthy. You have to wonder why Rite Aid and GNC would allow themselves to be associated with such a company."
"Ordered a Versace Signature Men's Eau De Toilette Spray for 29.99 using a legitimate coupon and paid using PayPal. The order went through and today 1/16/2011 I see that the order is canceled without further notice. Further they sent me an email saying that I canceled the order successfully which I never did. I had a bad experience couple of years ago; thought will give them a chance again but they screwed up again. Will wait for a couple of years to order from them again."
"Order receipt online shows $54.00, actually hit my account at $54.95. If they charged me an extra dollar, how much did they overcharge you?"
"wow.. purchased a big ticket item from drugstore.com, cannot even locate the vendor, shipping information, tracking, but they promised and said it has been shipped.. what a whack job!!"
"Will never shop at Drugstore.com again. Seems that my orders are always messed up! I recently placed and end-of-the-year FSA order. I ordered 6 boxes of a certain OTC med, and they only shipped 5. I contacted them, and instead of shipping out the extra box I need, they just refunded my money. May seem fine, but this was a FSA order on an item I will no longer be able to purchase in 2011, and with the money refunded, will lose those funds!!! Very unhappy, and they have yet to do anything about it!"
"DRUGSTORE.COM - BAIT and SWITCH: FRAUD warning. I placed a prescription order for Renova that Drugstore.com had listed on its website for $209.00 on December 6, 2010. I never got it. On December 18, I called and was told the amount of $209.00 I paid is only an advertised price (said to me by the Manager). The price is actually what it is at the time it is sent. I paid $209.00 on December 6, and by December 18 the price was up to $225.00 and I still had not been sent it. They also claimed they had called my doctor and left messages trying to get my prescription and that my doctor had not returned their phone calls. Well they did make a phone call but that was to me saying they could not reach my doctor! I called my doctor and they had no record of any phone call from Drugstore.com. Thus my doctor's office called them. But Drugstore.com still claimed they could not reach my Doctor to fill the prescription. When I called customer service and asked for a manager they said I could not speak to any supervisors or managers as there were none there! Meaning the supervisors and managers have instructed the customer service representatives not to put calls through to them. But I demanded and told the customer service representative that I knew they were. She finally put a supervisor on the telephone that was surly and not helpful - until I told him they were practicing Bait and Switch. I cancelled my order. This is the worst company. Do not use them. This is fraud."
"I ordered a few baby bottles from drugstore.com and I was very satisfied. Highly recommended!"
"I bought an Oral-B electric toothbrush from drugstore.com because there was a "50% off promotion, promoted by drugstore.com, on "Oral-B electric toothbrushes." Five weeks after taking the time to submit the promotion material Oral-B notified me that the promotion did not cover my toothbrush. I called the rebate center for Oral-B and received no satisfaction. Drugstore.com was unsympathetic when I called them, even though the promotion, linked from my product page, was clearly for Oral-B Electric Toothbrushes and provided no indication that my purchased electric toothbrush was not part of the promotion. I feel cheated by Oral-B and, especially, Drugstore.com. I will be very hesitant to purchase anything from drugstore.com again. Beware of promotions."
"Great black friday price on a sonic care toothbrush. Shipping was very prompt and I couldn't ask for an easier transaction. "
"Terrible service with Prescription drugs -- 3 month supply. My drug is not covered by Medicare. I'm a cancer patient, visit the doctor every 3 weeks ... say they have to confirm my date of visit (it is on the prescription!). Don't use Drugstore.com"
