One of the Worst Retail Experiences I have ever had

"I researched an item on line and after reading reviews and worrying about being a victim of fraud i went with what i thought was a reliable and reputable company (Emma Mason). I understand the issue with Covid and i was willing to wait for shipment and deliver. Well the item ahs been at the local warehouse for over a month and i was promised it would be a matter of days not months before delivery was made. I have been in correspondence with Emma Mason and was given a delivery date out of the blue without any coordination. I explained that that date was not going to work since i was only give 2 days notice and I had other obligations. The "supposedly" coordinated for Delivery on May 2nd and after waiting around all day I was told that the delivery would happen sometime during the week. I was able to finally get a hold of the delivery company and they stated that unless they contact me it wasn't going to be delivered. After numerous phone calls and being ignored by Emma Mason the delivery company (not Emma Mason) arranged for delivery on May 4th. Needless to say the delivery vehicle "broke down" and i might get delivery on May 5th. I was going to to purchase a 20,000 bedroom set from them but I'll be dammed if I ever purchase anything from Emma Mason online or at their store. The worst customer service experience of my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Bedroom Furniture - Online order

"I ordered from a company online (Bedroomfurniturediscounts.com)that sells Emma Mason furniture. The online order process was quick and easy and I think they were the lowest cost for this furniture. I looked in living spaces I think it was and a couple of other online places and I saved a couple hundred dollars by shopping at Bedroom Furniture Discounts.

The process was a little frustrating after I ordered but I honestly believe it was due to the backlog in products due to the pandemic. I had a rep named Tiffy that helped me through out the process and she would let me know every couple of weeks what was going on with the delay. I appreciated this. When the order was finally received about 5 months after I placed it, I received an email from a sales person asking me if I wanted to pay extra for a better delivery service. I originally paid for white glove delivery but the sales person said they will not set up anything and just leave it in the packaging. I told them it needs to at least be put in the bedroom. The sales person was rude and had a bad attitude but Tiffy stepped in and let me know they would put the furniture in my bedroom with no issues. The delivery happened just as Tiffy explained. I received everything in good condition and am happy with the purchase.

Very proactive communications and responsive

"Great delivery process, very polite and responsive and brought all the furniture in without incident. The only confusion was I had 2 separate orders and expected only one of them, but both arrived so I was a bit unprepared for the 2nd delivery. It worked out in the end. "

Beware. Order elsewhere.

"Consumers: DO NOT buy from Emma Mason or affiliates. When I called to place the order the sales person told me it would ship “right away” because it was supposedly in stock. However my confirmation email then said 4 to 6 weeks. I emailed immediately and was told I was misinformed and it was delayed. So a few weeks later after a bunch of emails asking for status I canceled the order. How ironic that a few hours later I get a confirmation email that the item had shipped. Well we already bought other furniture so I called to let them know I canceled and called again and called and emailed and called. Mostly no response. Then a call back from a guy named “Harris” who said he’d work on it and then never called me back. Then multiple emails to “Jan” that went unanswered until she emailed me telling me they’re going to charge me a restocking fee and a delivery fee in excess of $700 bucks. About half my total bill which they already charged. They’re total scammers! I’m working with the Better Business bureau and my credit card company. It’s not my fault I was told my furniture was in stock and ready for shipment when IN FACT it was back ordered and I had to wait at least a month. This place is a scam. Buyer beware. Do not buy from them. "

Great Deal!!! Great Customer Service!!!

"We ordered our Binetti sofa, loveseat, and chair in late November and paid for it in full after being assured it was in stock. Customer service was outstanding at the time of ordering as they walked us through the process. We were able to get the set at a big discount from the 1 we saw in a retail store (not affiliated w/ Discount Living Rooms). My wife and I were concerned about ordering online due to Covid related issues, labor shortages, and supply chain delays. We were also worried that the colors were not going to match the online photos. It's hard to do this ALL on line, lol!! But Discount Living Rooms was incredibly helpful with each step. After ordering, DLR sent us confirmation of payment and a visual step-by-step of all the next phases. It was very easy to understand and it gives the general time line for all of it. From that point our Success Mgr. was Shayne M. who sent emails and text messages regularly. DLR.com met every timeline until right at Christmas when the Sofa set arrived at their Delivery Company. We should have received some sort of communication from aforementioned Delivery Outfit. We really did not expect anything to show up in the middle of Christmas/New Years but thought maybe 1st week after New Years. But Shayne (DLR.com) was on it and staying in touch with all parties!!! Unfortunately nothing was happening as I could tell with Delivery Company so I called them on January 4th. They told me it probably would be delivered in about 2 weeks. It wasn't. Shayne checked and personally called me to explain what was going on. At the beginning of February we were notified by Delivery Truck people that they had assigned our furniture to a smaller truck that is easier to get into our driveway, and it would be out that Saturday. They even gave us the Drivers name (Dave). But on the day, Dave called me and said he had blown his transmission on the truck... and could not deliver. He also admitted that the furniture should have been delivered in early January 2022 but as he loading the truck he could not get all 3 pieces of my furniture on the smaller truck so removed my stuff and delayed delivery. I called the Delivery company and asked if we could make this a priority since they had ben holding my sofa set since mid December 2021. They were non committal until Shayne (DLR.com) called and they decided they would deliver the very next week. The Delivery guys were great and the "White Glove Delivery Service " was outstanding!!! None of this would have gotten done without Shayne M. !!! And yes I would buy from DiscountLiving Room again."
