"First purchase from Essential Computer. I usually purchase from West Coast compaines to get next day delivery on ups ground. But since they offered free 2nd day FedEx I gave them a shot. Just ordered 5 boxed AMD Athlon XP 2000+ cpus and they shipped out same day. Arrived in 2 days without a problem. If the price is right I would not hesitate to purchase from them again."

"After finding the 3d graphic card defective, I couldn't get the customer service to cross-ship replacement item. They advised me to order a new item and return the defective one for refund, if they can not replicate the problem they will charge me 15% restocking fee.
So when they send me defective part, they don’t take responsibility of it, I have to send the defective part to them and wait for them to get back to me while I’m completely shut down. Or place a new order and wait for them to evaluate the defective part. If they are not good enough to replicate the problem, I will have to pay restocking fee besides all the shipping charges that I have to loose even if the prove that the card is defective. It is too bad experience, will never use them again."

Called their tech support and found out the brand of memory I was using was not stable for this type of motherboard. They were very courteous and helpful. They helped me get the right memory and even went out of their way to ship it today even though it was 2 hours past the cutoff time so that I would get my package in time before the weekend! Rma was issued promptly for the other memory. Great customer service. Would definitely order from again."

"I recently ordered from this company...I purchased a motherboard, processor, and memory stick. Every thing I ordered was received in tact and as promised(no wrong items). The three items were all securely packaged neatly into one larger box stuffed with styrofoam popcorn...well done too as FedEx seems to think they need to test the sellers mettle at packing...they smashed the box but everything seemed undamaged inside. EssenCompu has done a fine job in my opinion. I got what I wanted when I wanted it for a decent price and it got here without being busted to pieces. "I purchased two floppy drives from this company in the belief that this was a reputable company to deal with and I received my order in 2 days as they shipped it Fedex 2 day. Floppy drives are rather easy to replace by simply unplugging one and installing a newer one and that is exactly what I did with the exception of the fact that one of the drives were sent to me dead and now to get it replaced I must pay to have it sent back and maybe pay a $10 testing fee if when they get it they decide to test it and it shows nothing wrong with it and I must pay to have the bad product shipped back. This is about the most asinine thing I have ever heard of since they sold me a BAD product they should have to pay to have it sent back and replaced. So, I give this company a -10(that is a "minus" 10) for their rating here. "
