"essentialhardwareusa advertised Stanley Fat Max sawhorses 4 per carton. Contacted Essential Hardware to verify that there were 4 sawhorses in the carton. They responded that there were 4 in the carton. Ordered the item and received 1 sawhorse promptly. Contacted the supplier to complete my order. No response through e mail so I called. After 6 calls with assurances that I would receive the remaining 3 sawhorses, we finally spoke to a customer service rep that admitted the offer was for 1 sawhorse only. Called several times more to resolve the situation only to be told that all they could do is refund my money after I returned the 1 sawhorse they sent. Frustrated after many hours of conversation, I sent back the sawhorse. The refund was to be completed within a few days of the return. Checked with FedX and the sawhorse was returned within 2 days. 1 week later no refund had been issued. Called ebay and they refunded my money. Essential Hardware is guilty of fraud and should be taken off all internet sites."
"I ordered from Walmart Marketplace a laundry basket that was shown in green or blue. I would have taken either color - I wanted a basket that wasn't white. What did they ship me? A WHITE basket! I paid the shipping cost to get it to me and they want me to pay the shipping cost to return it to them when they shipped me an incorrect product! White wasn't even an option on the item I ordered! "I called and asked about an order before placing. I wanted clarification due to the way it was listed. I was told each “item” was 15 pieces of paneling on a pallet. I ordered 3, or 45 pieces of paneling. When the delivery arrived it was 3 sheets of paneling NOT 3 pallets of paneling. I refused delivery and called to enquire about a refund since I had been charged $850 for 3 sheets of paneling. I was told it would be credited back to me as soon as item was received at warehouse. 10 days later, no communication and no refund. Called again and customer service said there should have been an online form filled out from them and they would do it and then find my returned items before approving my money back. This place is ridiculous and has horrible customer service. I am sick of calling and emailing them. I am behind on a project and I am out of patience! I am suffering due to their lack of training of customer service."
"Ordered a tub/shower surround. Came in missing parts and not complete unit. While delivery driver waited, was told by agent (Jay) at the company to refuse the order and I would get a refund within 24-48 hours. Company received shipment back to them 4 days later and after 20+ phone calls and 4-5 hours on the phone with the agents of the company (supervisor NEVER available), I finally filed a complaint with PayPal and got my refund 42 days later. When you read this review and see all the other negative reviews, they are for real. Please DO NOT use this company. Save yourself some time and headache!!!"

"I placed an order online. The site was freezing up and announced it was not working correctly.. try later. There was no order#.
So I started over and my order went thru. I paid the higher price for fast shipping. Then I called the Co. to make sure I was not going to get 2 orders with 2 day shipping. I was told yes, there were 2 orders! So I made sure to have the customer service person canceled 1 order.
3 days later, I received 2 orders! When I called, they told me I would have to pay return shipping, 2 day shipping would not be reimbursed on the misorder, and I would have to pay a restocking fee deducted from the small credit.
Hmmm. That is not good business folks.
They make no sense and have no sense. Customers get run down and strung along with no intention of resolution.

"I ordered a ladder, and received a totally different ladder than the one described. I noticed the SKU # was different from the one I ordered. So I requested an exchange, or my money back. I was asked to take a picture of the ladder, which I did and explained the difference, and the different SKU. I kept getting the same emails over and over stating that my request was being reviewed, and they would get back to me within 24 to 48 hours. I finally had it! I was willing to work with them, but after this so called NO HASSLE return is nothing but a BIG LIE!!!! I should have read the reviews first. Believe me NEVER AGAIN!!!! BUYER BEWARE!!! Plus I found the same ladder at Ace Hardware, for $39.99. Essential hardware ripped me off for a total of $79.00!!! GRRR! "
"I bought a Eagle 2000 air compressor 16 August 2018. I received it in a timely manner, no problems there. When i plugged it up and switched it on it runs but will not build pressure. Applied for a return number and have been getting the run around ever since. They advertise a "No HASSLE" 30 day return policy. HOGWASH!!!! That's all it has been. One BIG STINKING HASSLE!!! "twice I put in an order for 2 Columns and both time they cancelled it, first time they told me that the were dropped in the warehouse and they didn't have pair to send me, second time they told me that were out of stock, if an item is out of stock there is no reasons to cancel an order just tell the costumer that the shipment will be delate, my opinion is that never carried columns is just a way to get people to get to their site. "I had two separate orders with them. The first showed up and was not the item described. I called and they said they had no idea what it was they were selling because they are simply third party vendors and never physically touch the product but if I'd send them photographic documentation of what I got vs. what I should have gotten, they'd respond in "24 to 48 hours". I put that in quotes because they have no concept of time. "Shipped in 5 to 7 business days" means sometime in the next 2 to 3 weeks. Anyway, I keep getting an e-mails request to send documentation so they can resolve the issue even after I've done that on 2 occasions.
I've been waiting 2 weeks for the second item and just got e-mail tracking numbers so I logged on to UPS.com only to discover that delivery was attempted yesterday and delivery was refused. By whom! I certainly didn't. So I called what they claim to be customer service and they say the packages were damaged in shipment and are being returned to the vendor. So which is it? And why did I just waste 2 weeks dealing with these clueless dimwits?
They also said they credited my PayPal account. Well they did that, kind of. It seems they are trying to keep a $71.18 "adjustment fee". Yeah, adjustment fee, my a$$! This isn't over yet but basically what I received is a total waste of 2 weeks time for my project for the princely sum of 71 bucks and change. These guys are criminals! Maybe not, they're too stupid to do this on purpose! CAVEAT EMPTOR "
