"BAD service and dishonest. Lied about Samsung DLP LED TV being new - it was refurbished. Lied about shipping dates - 12 days after order and it had not shipped (after full verification, etc.). Impolite customer service reps. Thankfully, I was able to cancel my order since it had not shipped. NO WAY would I try and save a few dollars (or hundred) by dealing with this company that misrepresents products, shipping, etc. Save yourself the pain and DO NOT order from fotoconnection. "
"The 40D that they advertise for 1069.00 + 14.95 s/h is NOT an US version even it said it has a FULL US WARRANTY. You will see what questonable business practices they have...
I purchased online a 40D Canon body from this merchant. I then received an email from the company stating:
"Your receipt of an electronic or other form of order confirmation does not signify our acceptance of your order... All orders are subject to final approval by our customer service department. We may contact you regarding adjustments to your order, including but not limited to tax and shipping, ...The charges at this point may not be final. You will receive your final statement (receipt) with the arrival of your package..." IN OTHER WORDS, THEY COULD CHANGE THE AMOUNT THAT YOU THINK YOU WILL PAY FOR THE PRODUCT.
I wrote them back to list out all my expectations.
I receive a 2nd email (not answering to my email) from the vendor stating "In order to promptly process your order, please call me Sam at, ***-***-**** Ext. 2051. to confirm your order information, in order to ensure prompt delivery of your order..".
I called Sam at 1:34PM (PST). He answered but told me to hold. After a long 20 min hold, at 1:53PM, he asked me the order number and then asked me to wait some more. He later returned and told me that the order was shipped…. I did not even have a chance to confirm the accuracy of the order, my expectations and my ID info with him before he hung up on me. I wait a day and noted that my product is still not shipped on their web site's "order status" page. I wrote them a 2nd email again for better clarification.
A 3rd email came and asked me to call Peter. I called Peter and he was not in. I left a message and later talked to George. When I was trying to confirm what will be shipped to me, George told me the camera is a is NOT a US version. I asked him how could a non-US version camera has a US warranty and why his company ads did not disclose this important fact and make it look like a US version offer? He did not answer but only repeated to me that it is not a US version and their web ad did not say anything on whether it is or it isn't. I then told him I do not want this anymore and George immediately offered to cancel the order.
The misleading ad, the requirment of calling to confirm, long wait,,, It was indeed a bad shipping experience to me. Since I have wasted so much time, I decided to enter this to alert other buyers who might think this is a US version after reading their ad. I am glad that I have taken the precaution and document all incidences to prevent myself from future disputes. How could any company do these to risk customer relationship and believe they could come out ahead?
I will have to call my credit card company to block any charges from this company if possible. I will refuse delivery if for whatever reason they decided to ship the product to me.

I called to order a dvr for a vacation i was going on and was assured that if i expressed mailed it it would be here on time.The next day this greasy looser called named Joey G and told me that i had to buy a battery and charger for it or it would not work! that is like buying a car with no motor!! Gaby called me after she saw my review on the net and said she was sorry for the problems i had. she then tried to make things right by upgrading my order for free ( every thing that scumbag salesman joey G said i should by for my camera to work.) SHE DID EVERYTHING SHE TOLD ME SHE WAS GOING TO DO AND FOR THAT I AM THANKFUL ( THANKS GABY ) IF ANY MANAGER READS THIS YOU SHOULD FIRE YOUR SALES STAFF AND MOST OF YOUR OTHER EMPLOYES EXCEPT FOR GABY !!!!!!! SHE IS THE ONLY REASON I WOULD EVEN ATTEMPT TO PURCHASE FROM YOU AGAIN!!!!!"

"I ordered the camera. The rep called me to tell me that the camera only came with a 15 minute battery and that I should pay $90 extra for a 5 hour battery. I told him to hold off on the order and that I need to consult my wife. The next thing I knew the camera was shipped to me. I called back and he said that he included the 5 hr. battery free of charge. The box I received was from the factory and not opened. There was no extra battery. It seemed to me that the camera came with the 5 hr battery and the sales rep was trying to get me to buy an extra battery for $90 by telling me that the battery in the factory box had only 15 minutes of power. Also, when I investigated battery prices on line, the cost was about $15 for a 5 hour battery. It seemed that the rep was trying to take advantage of me.
Also, the free starter kit has been a pain to get. First they told me it would be shipped separately and then they told me I had to fill out all of these review forms and email someone with my username. This is misleading and inconvenient."
"I placed the order online and expected to have the Camera shipped without problem. A sales person called to ask me what battery I would like and I selected one. He then gave me my total and it was $150.00 more than I had approved. I told him that I only wanted what I ordered...the camera and the extended warranty. I did not appreciate the upselling. Once I got the camera, I tried to register it with nikon and discovered that the camera is not one made for US distribution, so I couldn't register it with Nikon. Not exactly the way you should do business."
