"This is my first order with this company. I found them fine to deal with and the product arrived in good condition within the stated shipping time. Shipment arrived LESS a promotional DVD player which was advertised to ship automatically with the TV. I was advised this item had been 'overlooked' and was promised it would be rectified quickly. I will post again within two weeks and let you know if they kept their promise as this item was instrumental in my choice of vendor."
"DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE LYING JERKS! Not only will they make you call to the "confirm details" but they are extremely pushy on all the assessories. That's the real reason they are getting you to call. Now get this...when I said this was all I wanted they said their standard shipping was through the post office uninsured for a 40" 100lb plasma TV because that was the cheapest for them. This is total BS as we do shipping everyday and the psot office is horribly overpriced with heavy objects. Not only that but he actually said that if I don't use UPS it would come from overseas with different speakers installed! So I told them to cancel the order and they said there was a 15% restocking fee even thought the order wasn't even processed! He even went as far to say 4% (of this $2000 order that was not even oficial yet) was because I was wasting their time. Seriously folks this is the worst customer service an most shady company I have EVER dealt with in my life. You will be sorry for trying to save a buck with these guys...don't risk it!"
"This has been my absolute WORST online shopping experience. I am aghast at how shady FotoConnection is and astounded that they are still in business.
I came to FotoConnection after doing a Google Search for a Casio Exilim S600 and clicking on the FotoConnection ad. I placed an order and received emails every hour asking me to confirm my order. When I finally called, I was told that "accidentally" purchased the foreign version of the camera and that is why they wanted to confirm.
The salesman was rude, pushy, and disrespectful - he tried to jack the price up on me by $50 for the US version - it was absolutely ludicrous the tactics he tried to pull. "You ordered the foreign version without a battery, that's why it is so cheap". On top of that he INSISTED that I get the warranty and extra accessories. When I told him that I was canceling and did not want to deal with such an unscrupulous company, he said he could give me the US version and free expedited shipping for $15 more than the original order. I could expect the camera in 2-3 days.
Thinking that I did not want to deal with the hassle any longer, I accepted the offer. After getting to a computer I found the item (http://www.fotoconnection.com/viewitem.php?IndexID=41031&reftag=adwords) and I see no indication whatsoever that it is a foreign camera. In fact it shows that it comes with a 1 year US warranty! Little did I know that the drama was only beginning.
Several days later, I receive numerous emails and calls asking me to verify my billing information. When calling back, they told me that my billing information was inaccurate (sure, could have been a mistake on my part). We went through the process and I re-verified all my billing information. They assured me my camera would be here "by the end of the week".
Today I receive another barrage of emails saying my billing information is incorrect. I call in, and they tell me that my information is still incorrect. The rep is beyond rude and we go over my info - everything is exactly as it should be. They then say they will "try to bill" but that they want to call my credit card company. At this point, I am fed up and finally cancel on them. My hypothesis is that they are sandbagging and don't really want to ship this camera out at expedited shipping on their expense so are delaying.
In any case, I have never been so dissatisfied with an online retailer in my life. Not only will I NEVER shop again at FotoConnection but I will tell all my friends to never go there. The presumed 10-20% discount that you may get there is totally fabricated. You will end up paying nearly as much or maybe much more (if they can trick you into their ridiculous expedited shipping, warranties, or accessories).
I am urging anyone reading this to STAY AWAY from such a dishonest business. The wasted time and headache are simply not worth it. "
"Found a good price for A630 Canon Powershot. Yet, the customer service was rather poor with my purchase. Received a call from a sales manager ("sam") that attempted to solicit further business from me. He was rude and impatient with me, particularly when I was asking questions. In addition, had problems in receiving free promotional items promised by seller. Not very impressive. "
"Bought a canon a640 based on fotoconnection.com offering the lowest price I could find. Next day I get a confirm email for me to call in to confirm my order and I get a somewhat rude person on the line giving me the hard sell to get me to buy a warranty, batteries, and memory. I declined all extras and the camera shipped out the item that day. I got it 3 days later and the camera was the real deal.
I was very leery that I would get the camera as expected based on reading the negative reviews (which I should have done before ordering) so I was expecting an open box, gray market camera but I got the camera I was expecting. I understand they make their money selling the extras but the discourteous manner in which they approach the sale will not have me coming back.
I didnt get the free starter kit so I sent them an email to send it."
"Fotoconnect offered me a great camera at a very affordable rate. If got her extremely fast and teh service that was provided for me was great>. "
"I am very happy to make a comment about you Foto Connection. My opinion is most unfavorable. I placed my order and then tried to reach the company at 1.***-***-****, and to this day no matter at what time of the day or night I call ther is always a busy signal. Theyt kkep sending me messages via e-mail teeling me to ontact the agent Victor and the above # and I keep sending e-mails to notify that I am not able to reach as the lines are ALWAYS busy. And noone reads the messages I send and they send me yet another message telling me to call. I have requested that I be called and to no avail. I have stayed at home every day just to be here should anyone finally decide to read one of my e-mails. So no, I am entirely unsatisfied as none of my questions have been asnwered including my request to cancel the order so that I might contact another more reliable company who actually has a phone line that reponds. I think this company should not be in business quite frankly.
If anyone os reading this please contact me. It would be greatly appreciated.

"I had a very mixed experience with FotoConnection. I’ll start with the good.
I got the camera I wanted, and exactly what I ordered, for a really good price.
The Nikon D40 body, one Nikor lens and one off-brand (Tamron) lens. I was pleased
that they had the camera in stock. Both lenses work with the camera, but neither will auto-focus. I’m really not that unhappy about that, but I will eventually buy an auto-focus lens.
It’s very unlikely that I will buy it from FotoConnection.
Now the bad. The sales experience was abysmal. When I first called, the salesman said I’d need a battery. I questioned whether the store sold the camera without a battery. He never actually said it wasn’t included, but he’d sell me a 4 hour battery for the price of a 2 hour battery … $150. I said I’d do more research and get
back with him. I called back, and Sam, the salesman, told me the included battery would last only 15 minutes, and I really needed one of his expensive batteries. I declined, and eventually ordered the camera online.
When I received an e-mail to call Sam and confirm my order, he again tried to hard-sell me a battery. I said I’d make do with the included battery. Then, he started in on the warranty. This is when it got really bad.
Sam told me that if I dropped the camera as I was taking it out of the box, I’d be calling him crying that I should have listened to him. I told him that if Nikon sold such a crappy camera that I’d be lost without his warranty, I didn’t want to buy it. I also informed him I hadn’t bought the warranty on my laptop. He then said he hoped I dropped my laptop. Sam was the epitome of the high-pressure New York slimy salesman.
The bottom line is, if you can stand the abuse and make judicious use of the word “no”, you can consider buying a camera from FotoConnection. But remember, if you’re shopping for the lowest possible price, you have to be prepared to consort with the bottom feeders.

"I purchased the Casio Exilim Ex-z1000 camera via the web and I love it. The purchase price was excellent. I was offered the battery upgrade during the confirmation step and I declined it. The standard battery was able to take about 1500 outdoor pictures over a one week vacation. No flash pictures were taken during this time. Delivery was estimated to be 7-10 business days and the camera arrived 9 days. I had to call Customer Service to inquire about the "Starter Kit". Overall, I was satisfied with my purchase."
"I was a bit leary at first as I had not heard of this online company and I was buying an expensive DLP big screen. Well everything went fine. The sales and customer service staff were helpful and nice. I received e-mail updates as the sale progressed and the product arrived within the expected time in fine shape. The only suggestion for improvement I would offer is less hold time on the phone, but I am sure they do a lot of business as they have really good prices. I would definitely recommend them and will very likely buy from them again. Brian"
"I had a wonderful experience with FotoConnection.
The speed and delivery was GREAT!
Thank you, Debbie D. Georgia"
"FotoConnections staff was very courteous and helpful. I was very pleased with my dealings with FotoConnection"
"After I ordered a Fuji camera from FotoConnection, I then received an e-mail asking me to call to confirm the order. The sales agent then offered to sell me an extended warranty, batteries, and a charger for the camera. I would have expected the battery and charger to come with the camera, as the web site said the camera was "factory sealed". After some negotiation, they said they would throw in the battery and charger at no extra cost.
When I did receive the camera, the wrist strap was missing, but the camera worked great. The price I paid was very competitive."
"Horrible Horrible company. They tried to charge me a much higher shipping fee after I made the purchase claiming that UPS would damage my product. I guess this is how they make their money. They also make you call them to confirm your order so this rude and unfriendly idiot can sell you warranty"
"I received the camera as ordered . Great service and prompt delivery. Best price around. Should have gotten this Canon SD750 much sooner as it is a gem. Will definitely buy from FotoConnection again."
