"I don’t know where my original review went. This is frustrating.
UPDATE: my week two meals arrived today, and after the hour I spent with August fixing my meal selections last week, two of the six that arrived were wrong. One of the “meals” that arrived wasn’t even a meal, it was just a side of mashed potatoes. To say I am upset would be an understatement. What a waste of my time. Not to mention I now need to figure out what to do for dinner some night, and our kitchen is currently being remodeled which is why we decided to try out Freshly in the first place.
I also did not appreciate the customer service I received from Julie P., which I’m assuming she knows which is why I did not receive the option to rate her service like I did for August’s. She gave me a refund, which I am appreciative for, but it should have been a full refund for both meals that were wrong, which it was not. When I go to a fast food restaurant and they mess up my order, I get a replacement for free, not a 50% discount. She did eventually fully refund the side of mashed potatoes after I complained that I can’t even eat that for a meal, but I should have received a full refund for both and should not have had to ask for it.
The entire time we were talking it seemed like she just wanted to pay me off for me to go away, as opposed to August who I felt like genuinely wanted to help make things right for me.
I also felt like she tried to insinuate that my having to select replacement meal options with August last week was my fault for not locking in my selections on time, and that was most certainly not the case. I’m sure (hope) she was trying to be helpful, but it came across as disrespectful and demeaning. Then she ended the conversation and signed off abruptly without waiting to ensure that all of my issues had been addressed.
Hopefully any future orders I submit will go off without a hitch, but if they don’t, I hope I’m able to speak with someone like August and not Julie P. to address any concerns.
Minus one star for 2/6 incorrect meals delivered and a less than satisfactory conversation with customer service this time around. "

"I've been with Freshly for a while and enjoy the food & convenience factor. I've had more meal meetings and not able to eat the meals in a timely manner and had intended to cancel a week so I could catch up. Somehow I missed the email reminder. I did receive the email notification my order was confirmed. I reached out to customer service to ask if I could delay delivery by a week as a solution. I was not expecting much of a reply as recently my dealings with other companies' customer service interactions seem to be along the lines of have been "nope - can't help you but we apologize for the inconvenience" followed with an insincere "can I do anything else to help you?" when they didn't help to begin with. This time, I was thrilled with Freshly's response. Josh F came up with an even better solution than I proposed. I felt heard, respected, and this interaction brought a smile to my day.
