"I needed a Lenovo Thinkpad power cable and went to Fry's Electronics online because it was not available on site. The online query brought me to a page of power cords, but the images were blurry. I had to guess at the type of cable that appeared to match because the descriptions did not list the Lenovo name. I assumed it was the Sony type. I was not in a hurry, but if I were to compare other online services, it was too long (2 weeks). When it arrived, it was not knotched in the fit my computer. I had to chisel away the rubber to get it to work. Again, not a major thing, but the lack of clarity of the photo prior to purchase, lack of clarity of the description, and delay was concern. I will still shop at Fry's, but since you asked about the ResellerRatings, I hope that this type of problem can be corrected. It does not take much these days for an online user to shop elsewhere."

BOTH TIMES they took my order, confirmed the orders, then cancelled both because they only ship products from store inventory. "Made a purchase online 10-19-19--used a $50 gift card--paid the balance ($80) with my credit card. The item never arrived--when I called, they said that they had cancelled the order due to the fact that the item was a display model in Rendon, California and not a new product. Since I no longer had the gift card, they could not credit the gift card account. I was assured that another card would be sent to me in 6-8 weeks. 12 weeks later--no gift card and no one can fix it. After several phone calls this is still not resolved. (Sidenote -- the customer service rep David was awesome--he was nice, polite and sympathetic. "I placed an order via the Fry’s website. The next day, I was informed the item was no longer available. So I found a similar item and placed another order. The next day, I was informed that item also was no longer available.
However, the person who contacted me said there was a similar item available for virtually the same price, and asked if I wanted to purchase that instead. The process finally worked, and I received my item within a few days.
It was frustrating placing orders for two items that turned out to be not actually available, but I appreciate the good customer service."
