They must be going out of business

I ended up calling because

The item I wanted, there is no in store pick up.

Website said store would be open at 8:00 during Black Friday week..

I get there at 9:00am Store doesn't open until 10:00.

They didn't have anything what I wanted. A month earlier they did.

Decided to have item delivered.

They don't deliver to P.O. Boxes so I had to risk having the

item stolen by having it delivered to where I live.

Ordered item 200 Standard CD cases (Clearance price) for $46 on sale.

Forgot to give apartment number. Called back & had to cancel that order, because they couldn't just add the apt number.

reordered the same thing.Was on the phone both times for 20 minutes.

Product arrives & it's 200 Slim cases instead.Which is not a clearance price.

I need the standard ones because I have back covers to insert..

Went to CR electronics in Inglewood (much closer to me than City of industry)

They had 100 standard CD jewel cases only $20. Cheaper & not even clearance. I Just walked in & walked out with what I wanted the same day.

I didn't have to wait another 5 days to get the wrong thing.

I was told they don't have a warehouse any more.These wrong CD cases covers were shipped from Texas.

Decided it's too much more trouble to send them back. I can use them for something else. I like supporting Stores in person But Fry's on line info & phone service ordering is unreliable.

Stolen debit card purchase

"This was a purchase made by someone who stole my debit card. It used it in conjunction with my email address, so I’m Guessing someone hacked my frys account. The only good part was frys immediately refunded the purchase even before I could issue a stop payment on my debit card. Great times. "

Sent me a laptop I couldnt use

"After placing my order, got a call that it wasn't available anymore but could offer me an open box item in its place. Not happy about that since that wasnt what I ordered.
Then I received the laptop, I couldnt boot up windows because I couldnt select my region (USA) and language (ENGLISH). This was shipped from California, so I'm really confused. Called 2 different Fry's for support...they both offered a seasoned tech to call me back, but neither called me back. I called my local Fry's and only suggested I return item. Very poor experience.

Order was cancelled, but was not informed

"This was my second with Frys. first order was cancelled, but instantly received an email to that effect. Call their customer service line and they were able to confirm it. Was advise to order a different laptop.
Got back online and ordered a different laptop. Again received an email verifying the order and also gave me an order number and delivery date. Was scheduled for Friday the 13th. Had some bad weather and figured maybe Monday. Still no show. Called up customer service to see if they could provide a tracking number, which I never received, and finally found out that the order was again, cancelled.
I explained I never received an email to that effect and could you resend the cancellation email again. Long story short, after being put on hold and they called the store who sold it, there was no email for the cancellation ever sent.
Was a bit disappointed because this was a Christmas gift. Now I'm struggling to fine a replacement at the last minute.
I was not offered any compensation for this complete disaster on their part.
Now I'm paying big bucks to have one overnighted ar my expense from a different seller.

Fry's have seen the last of me

"I will never ever shop a Fry's again, I purchased a Netgear router with 36 month store warranty well guest what when the router stopped working in 5 months I went in for a replacement. What I got was a store credit great but the store shelves was empty when I ask for a refund I couldn't get one because they were going to be restocking within the week. That was my router and I couldn't wait for them to restock I need one now, the response you can us the store credit on the Fry's website, well guest what you can't use a store credit on the website you need a Fry's gift card "which by the way you have no way to check the balance of the gift card other then going into the store".
I go on the website found a router said it in-stock ordered it a week later I get an email it out of stock, talk to customer services found another router that she guaranteed was in stock and would ship the next day guest what I got the next day, an email saying that router was out of stock. I couldn't get a replacement router in store, I couldn't get a replacement router on line and I couldn't get a refund so now I have a Fry's gift that is totally worthless.
Contacted Cardpool to try and sell the Fry's gift card for 50% of it's value and guest what because you can only check the balance of a Fry's gift card in store Cardpool don't want it either so here I sit with no router, a totally worthless Fry's gift card and a email from Fry's wanting me to write a review of my experience with Fry's so that it could help others make a decision to buy or not to buy from Fry's, well there you have its. I have purchased a router on Amazon and waving goodbye to Fry's and cutting my lose while I wait for a class action lawsuit.

Bad follow up

"I ordered 3 speakers on 3 different days. They cancelled all my orders. When I told them I sold a speaker quickly and cheaply to pay for the upgrades at a great price they said they would have someone call me back. I went through this 40min conversation 5 tines. Each time I had to call back and start over because noone returned my call. In the end they said they did nothing to help me. "

No protection

"I bought a refurb computer and it was literally just thrown in a box with no protective bubble wrap or anything to keep is secure it was bouncing around in the box and we all seen the videos of how postal services are this time a year. I just hope it works cause it was for a girl that is starting high school and needed it. I won’t know if it will work because I was doing operation Santa through the postal service. THANKS FRYS..."

"First day I was notified order was filled. Next day was notified it was not available any longer. Still not sure if I was charged. Process lacked any customer communication. I had to log into the site and y re back the order to find out above information. Thank you for this reminder to check if I was charged."

Good customer service but stock ran out

"I chose a bluetooth speaker in a color that Frys said was available. Added it to my cart and checked out. A day later they had to call me to tell me the item was out of stock. I know it must be difficult to keep up with holiday shopping and popular items, but I would think that with information being so electronic, automated, and connected they could be more on top of quantities before sending me down that path. The customer rep was very responsive, offered a comparable product (but not a highly rated item even if it was more expensive), and canceled my order promptly and was very polite when I said "no thanks." I liked the responsive side of working with Frys (far better than going into the store!), just a bit disappointed by the stock tracking."
