Conflicting

"Well, I actually didn't go through with the purchase because someone had contacted me from Fry's notifying me that the product I wanted to purchase did not include a battery and charger. They were willing to offer me 10% off on top of what I had originally paid for.

Pros:
1. They contacted me immediately when they found out about the lack of product components, and verified with me whether i still wanted it. (they called, left voicemail, and texted) I thought this was annoying at first, but after learning the situation of the product, i was very appreciative.
2. They were willing to offer more discounts as a mitigation measure.

Cons:
1. Laptop without battery or charger, i mean, what am I suppose to do with a dead laptop? or a laptop with no battery or charger?
2. Why was it missing?
3. Granted, the product description only talks about the laptop specs, but how are you going to sell a laptop with missing battery and charger? like....wtf?

Because they promptly contacted me, I included an extra star for this review. Or else just based on the product itself I would be vividly upset.

Disappointed with product ad

"I ordered a car stereo on the website. Luckily the person fulfilling the order called me to tell me that it was a display model and was missing the knob. It only had one knob. I had to cancel the order and go searching again. Ad on the site should have said something about it being a display and missing parts."

Good prices

"I am satisfied with Fry's prices and delivery. I have only one issue with the first time I ordered as after some days the order was cancelled as one product was sold out.
I would expect that Fry's would better control its inventory so you would not able to order a sold out item!
Fortunately the other product was still available at the sale price and I could re order it.
Fry's communication could be better and instead of cancelling the order it could ask confirmation for the product in the order...

"I confirmed the purchase of a laptop on four different occasions. Each time, the order was later canceled because they didn't have enough inventory to fulfill the order. Ridiculous. Almost scares me away from Frys permanently for ANY purchase. This is a reason why they might go bankrupt."

Fry's did not deliver

"I placed an order for a router which I was told was in stock. Two days later, after many of the sales were over, I received a message that they did not have what I ordered and had cancelled my order. If they were not going to fill they order, they should have told me they did not have the item I ordered from the start. "

Disappointing Service

"Postage took longer than expected, especially when I had paid a premium for faster delivery. I telephoned customer service and they were not much help at all. My tracking information was not updated for several days. I am most disappointed with the service

Never Again

"I spent hours shopping on Cyber Monday, settling on product from Frys. 27 hours later, after all sales were done, I got an email from frys canceling the order. There are too many other places to shop; I'll not waste my time there again.

The only reason I gave then 1 star was because zero stars was not an option.

Horrible customer service

"Ordered a laptop. They sent a shipment notification and then sent a cancellation notice. When I called to see what happened they said the store that it was shipping from closed out of the blue. They didn’t try to help me find another similar item or anything. I will not shop With them ever again "

False advertisement

"I used to shop at Fry's every time I went to LA or Dallas, Texas. Last summer, I was in the Irvine, Ca location, it was very empty compared to the past. I was very shocked and wondering what happened, until this passed Black Friday. I tried to order some car speakers online. They were listed as open box, but only "ship to home" option available. Ok, that is what I wanted. At first it looked pretty good until after 3 or 4 orders got cancelled with the reason that the products were broken. Every returned item is inspected before a store clerk giving back a refund. They don't blindly accept a return, then inspect it before shipping out an online order. If that's not a false advertisement, I don't know what else to call it. Now I know why Fry's is DEAD, because people don't trust the service any more. Neither do I!!!"

Received Empty Package!!! Total Rip Off!!

"I received an empty box. The package was torn open and the contents removed and the box was taped back up. I called Fry's and they said they would file a claim with the shipper and replace my merchandise. It's been a month now and I have not received anything or had any follow up. Buyer beware! Buy from another source!"
