"I wanted an 24" imac power supply. I found one at Gainsaver for $39 and free shipping for orders over $100. I order one imac power supply, one mac mini sound card and about seven white macbook bezels to put me over $100 and would qualify for free shipping. Once my Gainsaver order arrived, I noticed the imac power supply had a large black spot on the power board and was dead (obviously not tested), the mac mini sound card worked fine and three of the seven bezels had cracks/chips (obviously not inspected) in them. I contacted Gainsaver by phone and asked about sending me another power supply, the lady hung up on me. I called back and the lady put me on hold indefinitely. I finally filled an RMA online for Gainsaver and I shipped their bad parts back (my expense of course)and received a credit to my credit card. I called gainsaver and asked when the new imac power supply would be shipped back to me and the Gainsaver employee told me I would have to reorder the imac power and pay for shipping again. I couldn't believe it, I would have to pay shipping again, because Gainsaver couldn't/doesn't do their job correctly. Looked like it was better to cut my losses and take up my cause here and other places. You should run from this company now, don't do it. No customer service and you can't talk to them on the phone. You have been warned. If I would have read the resellerratings here, I would not have placed an order with this company. This company should be called Lostloser.com
If Gainsaver want's to make this right, I will update this post. Good luck to all!

**** update 10/08/2010: You will notice Gainsaver addressed this post and gave a generic answer. In short, they will ship you a broken part and make you pay to return their broken part, then make you pay shipping a second time in the hopes you will get a unbroken part.

"I'm a brand new gainsaver customer. I purchased a macbook yesterday 9/16/10. After purchasing the computer I realized i'd forgot to ask about the dvd burner, so i called right back and held for 20 min, i keep calling and kept holding. I even used other phones to call. At one point I had a phone attached to each ear. A few times i got disconnected and would call right back. After this I start reding reviews and some were great and some were nightmares. Unable to reach them to ask a question I decided to put in a service request to see if that would assist me in getting a response. I did use a bad word in my service request. I said "no one will answer my "god d#@m call". The bad word wasn't directed toward them. Well I continue calling and finally get a lady on the phone. She answered my question so I closed the service request. I get up today (9/17) and immeditely check the shipping status and it says it's been shiped. I'm thinking "great! i'm gonna be a satisfied customer, like many others". A few min later I get an email saying "Please go to gainsaver.com and select return item for a return". I immediately call them and explain I don't want to return the item. I was told that I used profanity in the email and he didn't want to do business with me, then he said he was going to get the computer back from ups. I appologize and beg him to send the computer I ordered. I'm crying at this point. My daughters bday is on 9/25 and i have over 600.00 wraped up in this. I ask when my money will be returned and he says 7 days. I beg him to send me the computer. I know using profanity isn't nice, but it's not illegal unless it's threats, harrassment, or other forms of verbal abuse. I have an attorney in the family. And me saying that doesn't give them the right to cancel my order. I continue to beg and he hangs up on me, or got disconnected. Who knows. The "hanging up" scenario seems to be a recurring theme in all thier bad reviews. I spend 10 min absorbing all that just happened and decide to call back and this time I get a lady and explain what just happened and she said my bad word was "un professional" and I apologize and begged her to send the computer. She placed me on hold and then said it will be there on the 22nd. I said "do you promise". She said she couldn't promise. So now i'm waiting to see what happens. I really hope i'm able to update this with good news and leave a wonderful review. I check the ups shipping status every 10 min and it says it's shipped. I will up date daily and document exactly what happens. If I actually get the macbook I ordered and paid for by the 22nd. I will spend time writing wonderful reviews on this company. I've been in customer service for years and I know you can't please everyone and some people will write bad reviews. I paid for a product and expect to have it by the 22nd. If I have the product and it works then I will be a happy customer, regardless of the mix up i listed above. I will up date this review every time something new happens. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and I pray to god I get what I paid for.
****UPDATE****
Just called UPS and they said it's in transit and will be delivered on the 22nd. So far so good. It's looking like I will be a satisfied customer. :)
9/23/10-Got the computer and it's crap. I specifically asked the lady if the computer was in good condition, i asked if it had any scratches or cracks, she said "no we deal with colleges" The plastic around the cd slot has a crack that appears to be glued and theres cracks below it. It has a chip missing in one area around the keypad and the entire machine is scratched all over. it appears to work, but it's not what i expected. I expected a referbished machine. Usually referbished means they fix or replace broken parts then resale the product. The customer service was the "WORST EVER" This was for a birthday gift. i'd be embarresed to give this gift to anyone. I wouldn't even give it to salvation army as a donation. it's crap. SAVE YOUR MONEY. READ THE REVIEWS AND DON'T GO HERE AT ALL. Think about it, you're buying a product that you can't even see until it arrives. I regreat dealing with them. I'll never do it again.

"My husband is in school to be a graphic designer and he really needed an IMAC to work with his programs. We spent months researching IMACs checking prices and comparing site. We decided to go with gainsaver.com. We placed an order 9/14 at 11:30AM for a 20in IMAC over the phone. They placed a hold on my card and said the order would arrive in 3-5 business days. Today 9/15 at 1:19PM I received an email with "There is a problem with your order" and when I called the guy says, we are out but we have a 17in. I said he wanted something larger what is our choices (mumbling under my breath that I should have known this would happen based on the negative reviews) He said I'll cancel it. I said I don't want it canceled I want my PC since they are still showing in stock on the Website and still are now. He said I can't help you and hung up on me. I then called back 3 times and all 3 times I was hung up on. I called back to speak with the lady in customer service. When I asked for the owner she stated " He is in India" I then asked for the Manager and I was placed on hold for 5 minutes waiting for Steve. Steve then told me they had no IMACs in stock and they wouldn't for several weeks. I stated that I would've have liked to wait if they hadn't hung up on me. He said that I should call back if I want. I told him I can't believe they have an A+ rating with the BBB and I would be contacting them. He then said I should check on EBay to see if I can find something and he can't help me. He then hung up on me. I have never in my life been treated so badly by a sales company. I will never purchase a product from them and strongly suggest you don't either if you don't want to be treated this way."

"SCAM SCAM SCAM This is the second wrong part shipped. First order was 33559 three days before and they had the wrong I/O board marked. I paid $9. to return ship that says I will only get a store credit. I needed the board and he assured me that it would be the right one. I have now paid nearly $20. shipping and am supposed to send this back at my expense and I get nothing! The clown who says he is the support manager never mentions the name and is rude and HANGS UP ON YOU! NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!"

"I bought an iMac from GainSaver in mid-June. Two days ago I got a column of dead pixels down my screen. I called the company this afternoon only to have a rude man answer the phone and tell me nothing but NO. I hung up because of his demeanor. Thirty seconds later the customer service man calls me back and tells me "You're a fu*!ing As*^*le" and hung up on me. UNBELIEVABLE. BUYERS BEWARE. This is bad company with some miserable people working for them."

"Beware, this is not a company you want to buy from!!
I bought a Mac Pro which died after 3 weeks... GainSaver replaced it, no problem, but the replacement cost less than the first one and they refused to make a full refund of the difference. An incredibly arrogant and snotty "customer service" staff and flaws in both the original and replacement computer made this a very unpleasant experience. I would never buy anything from them ever again.

"Poor customer support

This was my first time placing an order with this company. I place an order for a Power mac, their website says it was in-stock, but I received and e-mailed saying that was not process to give them a call. So i did, the lady who picked up the phone told me they sold out, and I should shop somewhere else and hung-up. I went back to the site, and found a different model, so I call them to make sure it was in stock, the same person pick-up again and put me on hold for 37min. and hung-up on me again after waiting for 37min. So I waited till the next day and call back, I spoke to the owner about it, he did not even apologize, instead he says go shop somewhere else, he does not care. This was the worst customer service I have ever got from a company. And none of the items they listed on the site are in-stock. I give this company a Big (0) rating for everything.

"I purchased a Macbook Pro from GainSaver. It was defective. They told me to send it back for a refund. I did and after several weeks no refund came. I called them and got a series of rude "Customer Service" people who told me that they had refunded my credit card and apparently the silly people at my bank had screwed up and not put the money into my account. Of course they would not provide any information to track this phantom refund and they hung up on me because I was so rude to demand some. Do not use this company."

"I just order my Mac and it came on time. I opened the box everything appeared fine. Upon inspection- here is a list of the defects- 1/2 scratch on screen, power charger does not work, battery lost charge after 45 minutes, loaded a cd and I don't know what was going on wouldn't read and didn't want to eject. Touch pad is either worn or isn't working properly. Put the icon in the left hand corner and it it impossible to get it to move from there for some reason. I am scared to death- I didn't read these reviews before purchase. I will update. I don't anticipate a satisfying outcome."

"Ordered computer on the 2nd. Get a call on the 3rd sayin my order had been cancelled that I needed to order again! Check bank account to see if I had been refunded only to discover that I had been charged twice for a computer that I was now NOT getting! The customer service rep Jennifer was extremely rude and hung up on me twice! After changing my bank account number so I wouldn't get charged again I am now without a computer and $1200 on the hole! "

"Gainsaver is a bunch or crooks. They told me they would refund my money for a couple computers that they sent me that were not the correct computers in the first place. They never refunded my money and now they are telling me that I can only use store credit. I talked with the owner and he basically told me "too bad" and was not willing to work with me. I highly recommend never using them..."

"I ordered Time capsule from gain saver about 6 month ago. It was OK at the time.

This time I decided to order Macbook Air from Them. It was total mess for me.

First, I called them to make sure that my item was shipped. They said item was shipped then I gonna have tracking No.(it was processing status for 3days)
Then i called again 3days later to asking my tracking No, and they said it has not shipped yet. Therefore i can cancelled my order.

Later that day, I received a call from my bank, telling me, my debit was charged twice by gainsaver. ( one time when i first placed the order, and a second charge when i cancelled the order).

i ended up changing my debit card and frustrated.
