DON'T ORDER

"Think twice before ordering from Gazelle. I recently purchased the iPhone 7 256 GB in "excellent/ unlocked" condition. When I received the phone the condition of it looked fine, but it had someone else's iCloud info linked up to it. Gazelle sold me a STOLEN PHONE. Promptly I called the company and requested that they would exchange the phone and resolve the issue. The man I spoke to told me that the company does not exchange phones, and that I would have to send the phone back to receive a refund and order it again myself. Giving them a second chance, I sent the phone back and awaited a refund. It took them a full week and a half to issue my refund. I reordered the phone and got an email a week later saying the company canceled my order. NEVER ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. Worst customer service I have experienced in a long time. "

Unfortunately a really bad experience.

"My experience with Gazelle was probably the worst customer service experience i have had with a technology company. I know that sounds extreme, but it really was. I don't think i have ever written a review before, but this experience motivated me. Early in the week I ordered two iPads for my 2 kids for a road trip vacation we are starting next week. They don't do a lot of screen time so they were pretty excited. I payed extra for expedited shipping just to be safe we would get them. By Friday i had heard nothing, had not gotten any emails from Gazelle but also had not gotten the package. I called their customer service line to check. The first person put me on hold, then came back to tell me there was a problem and my order wasn't shipped, but she did not know why. She passed me to 'claims'. Spoke to a woman in claims who put me on hold again to take a look and came back and said it didn't ship and that it would ship tomorrow and get to me on Wednesday. We are leaving Monday, so that did not work. I ended up speaking to 2 more people, who eventually said they could not get it to me. But unfortunately now it is too late to order from someone else. I know companies make mistakes, but in this case a bunch of things were wrong. First, I think they should have notified me if there was a problem. This would have solved everything by giving me enough time to look at alternatives, and still get one shipped in time. Next there customer support team seems to be in a really tough spot. It did not seem that they had any tools or power to make things happen. All of the people i spoke to responded to every question with 'we have to go to engineering' to figure it out or see if it was possible. A few were not great and didn't seem to really want to try to solve the problem, but 2 were really nice and wanted to be helpful. They were not able to be helpful, and it was really frustrating when they were not able to really do anything at all, nor provide insight into what was going to happen. It was also surprising to me that there was no way to manually execute an order and ship a product quickly if needed. By the end i must have pretty high up in the customer support group, and that person had no ability to solve the problem other than 'send it to engineering'. I think a core part of the company should be shipping and customer support. i am not sure they are great at it, at least in my 1 experience, so i don't really have trust in the company. With the refund they offered me a 30% discount on my next order with them which felt a little weak, and also insufficient. Overall it was a rough experience for me and not a great day for Gazelle."
