Within a week, you have a box in the mail to send your device in, and 3 business days later, you have the dollar amount appraised to you in your Paypal account. It's very easy and fast. The only negative is you'll get less than what you could get on the open market, but then you have to deal with selling it, listing it, etc. So while you take a hit on price, you make up for it in convenience."
