"I purchased a Groupon couples massage for my fiancé for Christmas. First, the company redeemed the coupon before I had even gifted it to him on Christmas Day. Groupon was able to unredeem the coupon, but then the business did not take any phone calls to make an appointment. I saw several other reviews saying that the same thing happened to them, yet Groupon is still advertising this business.
Groupon was able to exchange my Groupon for “Groupon bucks” to spend on a different Groupon, but they only allowed me 24 hours to decide where to spend it. If I did not spend it in 24 hours the money would convert back into the Groupon where the company does not answer phone calls to make appointments. I was now skeptical of all the companies that Groupon partners with and felt that I needed more than 24 hours to research companies that would actually answer the phone and have good customer reviews. Instead, I quickly choose a Groupon just to spend the money. I was not able to find another couples massage in the area so now we’re getting separate massages and keeping our fingers crossed that it is a legitimate company.
The customer service representative that helped me was respectful and quick in responding to my questions, but I am sorry to say that I will not be using Groupon in the future as it was way more stress then it was worth. "

"THE worst experience I’ve ever had with Groupon. I was buying tickets to the High Roller and they offered a code for 20% off. I applied the promo code to see if it would take for this specific deal and it did. The code applied and I had received my new discounted total. I clicked “place order” and the order went through however it said that I had paid the original full price. How can you show me that I am paying a discounted price and then change it as soon as I place the order? I tried to contact Groupon’s customer service first with their chat option. The person I got was VERY unhelpful and condescending and instead of helping me, just copied and pasted the rules of the code. I know the rules of the code. If the code was not applicable, it would not have worked and I would have not gotten my discounted price. After the chat person ended our conversation abruptly without providing any sort of help, I then tried emailing them. They responded but gave me the amount in Groupon Bucks. What am I going to do with Groupon Bucks?? I then replied that I wanted a refund for the discount to go back to my credit card since that is the price I had authorized to pay and still no response after two days. Absolutely unacceptable. This makes me want to never do business with them ever again. Beware guys, you may think you’re paying one price but Groupon will end up charging you more. "
"We booked a holiday with Groupon, a 6-day trip to Italy, with Weekender Breaks.
Weekender Breaks pretty much ripped us off, making us flight bookings that didn't connect to the rail travel with substantial costs to change the flights. The rail travel also turned out to be pretty much of a con, they booked us on a 1-way ticket only. Further costs for us to get back again. There were also many other issues, so all in all, a very bad experience.
We can only recommend people to keep away from Groupon and their lousy holiday companies like Weekender Breaks.
This issue was reported to Groupon, who continue to use Weekender Breaks for some of their holidays, which says a lot about Groupon."
