business closed and support is poor

"I bought groupons for a business that closed a month later... groupon support is slow and inaccurate. They email me back a couple days later telling me to trade them in - but there is no 'trade in now' option appearing with my groupons -- been trying to trade these for two weeks now without success!:("

Quickly Resolved Issue as Usual

"I missed putting in promo code for my recent purchase. I emailed Groupon and they took care of it right away, no questions asked. I have always had great service from Groupon customer service. I did like when they had a phone number you could call and speak to someone (they were always kind) about any questions. I will contine shopping with Groupon!!!"

Joke: blabla 'Customer support!?..the punchline is 'Groupon'!

"Total lack of follow-through support from Groupon UK. After paying for a deal and then booking with the merchant (restaurant meal) the merchant then cancelled booking....reason was that Groupon had failed to pay the Resturant on 40 previous occasions for coupons purchased by Groupon account holders and were no longer accepting any bookings from the Groupon website. Having contacted Groupon Support UK with my complaint (they still have my money for purchase) and after nearly 3 weeks they have failed to respond further to resolve this issue, this amounts to a fraud! Groupon ('cough') support said ok thanks for info blabla we will contact the merchant/and allow 6 days for them to respond (obviously the merchant in question is already hacked off with Groupon anyway)....guess what', the sound of silence has resounded like the echo of a duck's 'quack' from groupon since!
I see BBC Watchdog (UK) on the near horizon!

Great customer service!

"I had an issue with a Groupon from 2016. Groupon assisted me and ended with a positive and quick resolution. I also brought to Gilmore Girls T-shirts which I love. My go to place for mani pedicures. I love Groupon!"

They resolved my problem.

"I have used Groupon in the past and loved it. This year I bought a Groupon for Yogurt My Way in Fort Lauderdale. It worked great last year - this year.... the place has changed, and not for the better. They would not honor my groupon. After quite a bit of emailing I was able to exchange that Groupon purchase for Groupon Bucks to be used on something else (within 24 hours - so have another Groupon that you want picked out). There are rules and fine print - for sure - but once you learn them, Groupon is a good deal. "

DO NOT USE GROUPON

"They are a scam! We bought a pass for Vegas. When we got there a bunch of the items changed. We called Groupon. They informed me NOT to use the pass or they couldn't refund it but they needed to talk to the company. I called the company the next day and they informed they could refund the amount the same day but they had nothing from Groupon. I called Groupon back, their manager hung up when I tried to do a 3 way call with the company (as the company suggested). When I called back they told me there is a minimum of 72 hour to review claims. That I had to wait until the 21st. I called on the 21st and another manager told me the 72 hours does not include nights or weekends. I had to wait. I than received an email from them stating out of the $190 purchase they would only get me a $32 groupon credit. When I called the company back they said they provided an entire refund to Groupon. Groupon still refuses to refund any of it stating "All sales are final"."

Great customer service but read fine print

"I have tried out a few of Groupons deals and have learned the hard way. Read the fine print, go to the website and see about additional charges and shipping. I dont like the no refunds or trade ins policy on tickets to things. I did a trade in on another purchase. Most deals are only partial payments and once you go to use the voucher, bam! You have to pay more money. So beware! "

Happy new customer

"My first time ordering was just before a trip away for 3 weeks. Upon our return home, I discovered one of the 3 items had not arrived while we were away. I 'chatted' online and the order was cancelled and our money refunded. Three weeks later the item arrived! I wanted to keep it and pay for the purchase but I wasn't sure how to move forward in all this. Groupon responded almost immediately the same day and easily solved my predicament. I shall definitely use Groupon again! Their customer service is exceptional!"

Prompt response.

"I purchased 2 vouchers for my daughter but business is not able to fulfill due to overwhelming response from Groupon.

I contacted Groupon as she had to move out of the area and I was able to trade in. Process was fast and resolved within couple of days. Great job Groupon!!!

"I had an issue with a vendor no longer offering service at a location. I emailed Groupon and they resolved my problem and issued me a credit within 24 hours. I am never disappointed with Groupon's customer service."

Can you say $@#!!%^&?

"I purchased a Groupon for Metal Prints on Friday Jan 19, 2017. On Monday Jan 22 2017 I tried to redeem the code only to find out it had expired on 10/31/2017. Yes the code had expired almost three months before I purchased it. I contacted Groupon and they insisted that I contact the Printing company to try and redeem the code. I sent the company an email and called them at the phone number Groupon provided. They told me that they could not help (after I waited on hold for 15 min). So I contacted Groupon. It took me 30 mins with them and they say they gave me a refund. Time will tell. Here is a transcript of the 30 min I spent with Groupon Online Chat (the will not let you call them). I think they are deliberately slow hopping you will drop the chat and let them keep your money!

I could not post the rest of the chat. I had to escalate this to a Supervisor because Muhammad wanted to delay giving me an answer. Finally the Supervisor said they would give me a refund, but ONLY after repeatedly asking me to take a credit or to call the Metal Print Company again. So Groupon sold me an expired voucher and was not going to refund it.
