"I purchased two sets of two bicycle LED lights and they shipped as separate packages. They were both set to arrive on the same day but only one package arrived. Groupon refunded the cost of the one package but I had to buy it again and pay a separate shipping fee. I ended up paying over twice the price in the end. "

"NEVER trust groupon with anything related to travel. I purchased a groupon for a hotel stay two weeks ago. They just CANCELLED my stay without informing me, and sent me an email that they refunded my credit card because they published the incorrect rates.
I already purchased a rental car, I already have family meeting me there for my birthday and now I am not sure what to do. The worst part is I went back to the groupon to see how much the price went up, and the rate increased from $86 per night to $377 per night.
For all of you looking to buy a vacation through groupon, imagine purchasing your family vacation, planning it, taking off work, only to find out that they decided to cancel your vacation on you two weeks later. It would leave you between spending a lot more money to go on the same trip you already priced out or doing nothing.

They said they did not receive it yet and after they receive it i would have to wait 10days for my refund. So i asked why so long they said thats there policy and it does not tell you that in there return policy and the just discontinued the chat. I was in aaw. This is rediculous."

"While on my local Groupon page, I searched for "Safelite Auto Glass" and was presented with a coupon. Great! Pay $29 for $100 off auto glass. The problem was that they gave me a coupon for a different vendor "Safe Auto Glass", in another state, making it impossible to ever get any value out of the coupon. Well, great, I was an idiot, they took advantage of me. Live and learn, and be very cautious about dealing with Groupon, as they'll offer you "local" coupons from any location, despite logged in state.
I wrote to them, and they responded saying that I had to return "local" coupons within 72 hours. Well, we'd been hit by a week-long ice storm and had to reschedule the glass installation. I only noticed the sly name change when I was printing it out. Again, I was stupid and they took advantage of that with bordering-on-fraudulent keyword searches. But still, my money, my responsibility. Groupon has my $29 for no goods or services, and that's just the way it is.
However, this is where I became incredibly frustrated; they send me an email that says "We’re so glad we could resolve your issue today!". To me, having just been told "too bad, so sad", this seemed a self-congratulatory, perky email about how proud they are of themselves to have screwed me over! Yay for them!
So I sent another email saying I thought that was incredibly rude. Their response? They just forwarded the original "haha we're keeping your money, dummy, that's what you get" email. Without another single word, because I do not matter, and they want to make sure I know that I'm not worth a single "oh sorry, perhaps we worded that badly" response.
So....no. Don't deal with Groupon. If something goes wrong, you'll be hung out to dry...that's bad. But it would have cost them nothing to A), not send that stupid follow up email and B) then, when they did send an inappropriately perky email, it wasn't necessary to ensure that I knew that my concerns were so boring, they couldn't be bothered to write another word in response. "
