False advertising and refusal to issue a refund

"groupon advertised a deal as local when it wasn't, and advertised it using the title of a local business so I bought it thinking it was something else. They refused to issue a refund. Never buying groupon again."

"Bought a Christmas gift for a friend, they weren’t able to open it til recently, WHEN they opened it , it was completely in pieces . The item had a 14 day return policy. Groupon worked with me and was able to get my refund. Very professional and nice, I love my Groupon they treated me with respect and like a person, not a number!!! Kudos to the return department thank you so much!!!

Perfectly imperfect

"I purchased a groupon for a hair salon, scheduled my appointment then discovered after my appointment that the groupon was for a specific stylist (not the person I had my appointment with). I contacted groupon with almost immediate response and was provided with a trade for the amount paid and have now purchased an additional service. So, while it didn't work out perfectly initially the customer service response (time and attitude) provided by Vignesh was indeed wonderful. "

Customer Service is the BEST!!!

"Groupon has provided me with nothing short of impecible customer service any time I needed to reach out to them. They offer great deals and most of the time I buy and use my Groupons without a hitch. The few times there was a glitch or any static with a vendor Groupon always supported me and made it right. That gives me the confidence to continue to buy groupons and explore new businesses. If I didn’t have that confidence I’m positive I would buy less groupons in general. Knowing I’m not throwing my money down a drain is key and they have ALWAYS been able to sort out any disputes for me with grace and positivity. I really appreciate the customer service above all with this company. I also will say I LOVE the app and that they take Apple Pay. I look forward to buying many more exciting Groupon experiences for years to come!"

Great customer service!

"I had purchased a groupon deal by accident... I hit the buy button forgetting that I had a card linked to the account. It charged me right away, but it was just something I was thinking about. I called an hour later and was helped very graciously with my issue. My card was refunded immediately, which was great. I buy a lot on Groupon and Living Social and will continue to do so."

Fantastic customer service

"I bought a yoga groupon 2 days before it was part of a 25% off sale. I emailed customer support to see if I could get the 25% off price and got a reply within 24 hours. Customer support was helpful and always quick to respond to my emails. I was able to cancel my purchase at a higher price with a full refund, and then buy the groupon with the 25% off code. "

Best Customer Service Ever

"I have used Groupon since 2010. Throughout those years I've made many errors while purchasing a Groupon, sometimes big sometimes small. Most recently, I bought a Groupon and never received it. I discovered the Post Office threw it away because they throw away light parcel packages if they are forwarded to a new address (we just moved 2 months ago). So this problem didn't even have to do with Groupon. However, when I contacted Groupon about it, they refunded everything including the free shipping for my troubles. Their customer service is what has made me a repeat and loyal customer. I love them and will recommend them always!"

Return/refund - Excellent customer service

"I recently made a purchase on Groupon, and although this situation has never happened to me on Groupon in the past, I could not have been more pleased with Groupon's response. The item that was purchased for $20.99, was not the item that was delivered, which was an $8.99 item. I contacted customer service via email, and within 48 hours they processed a FULL refund and did not require that I return the item that was sent by mistake. "

Absolutely awful!

"Purchased a sport band watch for Christmas as a gift, once opened doesn't work! Will not even tell time!! Called for some support , was told too bad.. so I purchased a defective item...basically giving free money:( NO it was not a refurbished item, it was brand new:("
