I was told that I could not take advantage of the additional savings. "I was shopping for some speakers and doing the typical comparison shopping when I stumbled across the deals hhgregg was offering. I knew about hhgregg and knew they were a reputable company as opposed to one of those scam websites that offer prices too good to be true and then try to upset customers after the initial order, but I had never actually done business with them since there are no hhgregg retail locations in my area.

I took a chance since the price of the speakers I wanted was far below anyone else was offering (due to a sale) and as luck would have it my order was high enough that I qualified for free shipping. The speakers arrived several days later and i was already impressed. Most companies just slap a sticker on the factory box and send it through UPS or FedEx etc. but hhgregg actually took the time to wrap the entire box with two layers or shipping paper. It was completely sealed on all edges with tape and the interior box was fully protected. For anyone who wishes to keep the original boxes for future use this would be great, but it also added an extra layer of protection from the elements and helped disguise the contents from would-be thieves.

I have a lot of packages shipped to me and I don't remember the last time anyone took such care. I was impressed to say the least. Beyond that the order process was painless, the prices were excellent, and I have zero complaints. They even emailed me a coupon which I can use on my next purchase - and I will be using that shortly to buy the matching center channel speaker I need to finish my home theater.

Based upon my experience I'd recommend hhgregg to anyone. The only minor annoyance I can share is the fact that they now have me on their email list and since my order a bit over a week ago I've already received four or five emails from them. I'll likely unsubscribe in the future so it isn't a big deal and I understand this is standard practice for online retailers so it wasn't unexpected.

I was told there was plenty of what I wanted in stock and if I ordered before 6pm I could just pick up in stores the next day. I ordered on line and it said I either wait 2 weeks to pick up or pay $130 shipping and have it in three days, not waiting three weeks for my couches I paid the shipping. The next day hh gregg sends me an email for %25 off my next purchase and free shipping. hh gregg is the worst, I will never buy from them again!!!"

"We ordered a gas range on a Wednesday around noon and it was delivered by 5:30pm on Friday. The price was good - comparable or lower than other places we looked. But...despite a clear statement that basic delivery included gas hookup if the shutoff valve was directly behind the appliance, the product was delivered and we were told nope, we aren't prepared to install... Seems the catch is that there is a "free delivery" for items over $497 (ours was), and in the fine print, that excludes installation. Well, it would have been nice to be able to decline the free delivery and get the installation service, but the online ordering process just didn't seem to let that happen.

So, a cautionary note to others - if you get with the free delivery - even if you didn't intend to do so, be prepared to do the install yourself (and haul away the old appliance - another up charge not offered, at least not obviously, online)."
