"I bought my stuff at 9pm PST.. 12am est. Their site was a little wierd.. I bought a stick of OCZ 512mb PC3200R2 ram and a smart case fan II. I payed by credit card and checked out. Then it said some confirmation number and a link to print page. Then when I clicked it... it said something like I am not authorized to view this beacuse it's a wrong password or something? So I wondered if my order actually went through.
I had to leave the next day for an event, and when I came back on the 9th, I had no email from their company at all. I thought the order didn't go through, so I gave them a call and they verified that my order did complete and that it was shipped out the 8th.

Well I recieved my package today (15th). kinda slow shipping.. but it's not their fault anyway. I chose UPS ground, and they had to ship from from Connecticut to Cali, so no complaints there.

The box was a tiny box with foam stuff inside, protecting the fan and most importantly, the RAM.

Overall this was a relatively hassle-free ordering experience. My only complaint is their web site ordering and their email confirmations. Newegg sends like 3-4 emails per order and I like that. It keeps you updated on their status.
Well everything was great, they shipped the same day, and customer service was nice enough to repeat the tracking number three times for me.

Found out that 1 pair of Premium Winbond memory sticks was actually 333Mhz instead of 400Mhz. The memory was labeled PC400 and the receipt shows the same. I don't trust them anymore.


Ordered Insane Deal 2*512Mb PC3200 Dual Channel Premium Winbond CAS 2.0 memory for a good price. If you're building an ASUS Canterwood or Springdale, Winbond memory is on their Qualified Vendor Listing. Great price, lifetime warranty, all memory pretested, and copper heatsinks included. I have no desire to overclock but memory is set to Accelerated Mode. Have been running for at least 3 days nonstop now with a glitch. I'm gonna order another gig of this memory to build another system. If you're not trying to squeeze more specs out of an already fast system, get this premium Winbond memory. I think it is as good or better than the more expensive Corsair memory. Hardcore Cooling's service was fast and product was as advertised. My only criticism would be that they print "Lifetime Warranty" on the memory labels to avoid any potential future problems. However, I've never had any memory chips to go bad on me.

2nd Purchase -
Same thing - 1GB Dual Channel Winbond 400MHz CAS-2 memory. Never a problem with the hardware but company failed to honor a Pricewatch price citing the website as the problem. Hardcore Cooling did not offer a compromise price and when suggested, they offered to exchange for cheaper memory. The cost was $40 more. The purchase would not have been made but their site stated to identify where you saw the cheaper price and they would honor it.

3rd Purchase -
Always the same thing! Same memory. No Problem. Price decrease maybe due to Asus techs advising Corsair XMS for i865 turbo mode. Shipping was extremely fair as usual. I only buy this memory from this company or Corsair XMS (whoever's cheaper) for my Intel 875/865 motherboard builds."

"So I got the INSANE DEAL: PC3200 512MB 400MHz - CAS 2.0 memory in my rig this morning. Can't say I'm overwelmed, but that may be due more to the type of chipset I'm running than the memory itself. After looking around at some other benchmarks using the Via KT400 chipset it seems that the "Insane" memory is performing within the normal range of premium memory paired with that chipset. Bottom line: Good price/performance ratio. I'll have to upgrade to a Nforce motherboard to hit 3000 on the Sandra memory score. A prior post mentions that a 333mhz Barton processor might be the way to go. PM me if you have a suggestion

With the new memory I was able to take my fsb to 348 and processor to 11x174.
