"Ordered 2 laptop cooler pads on Sat. 11/27/04 & paid with Paypal. I received order confirmation right away via email & then again on Thu. 12/2 when it was shipped listing tracking number. They arrived Mon. 12/6 packaged well & they work great! I like when places accept Paypal so I don't have to give my credit card number out so much. I would definitely shop here again & recommend them."

"I placed an order on November 7th, as of this writing it is the 24th. My credit card was charged for my order on th 7th, however the items I purchased haven't shipped yet. My order is still in "Pending" status. I have emailed hardwarecooling.com several times and have even attempted to call them several times, all I ever get is a machine. How a company does business like this is beyond me. I shouldn't have placed an order with a company that has an only means of contact via their website form. I will never do business with them again, nor will I ever recommend them.

I have made several purchases online and I have never run into this kind of problem. A site claims to have an item in stock, charges your card and never contacts you or ships the item. Sounds like fraud if I've ever heard it!

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY. Their low prices are a scam, they are there just to collect money and not ship your items.

"My order's progress is the following,

11/2 I ordred PC Case and I received their auto reply message"Order Process".
11/3 They charged my creditcard.
11/6 They sent me no e-mail, and I asked the condition of my order by e-mail.(They say in their homepage, "Order Tracking/Estimated Ship Date Within the next two business days you will receive an e-mail with your order number, estimated ship date, and if you are new to HardwareCooling, it will provide your customer number.")
11/7 They replied nothing and my order status in their homepage is still "pending" ,so I cancelled my order.
11/13 I knew my creditcard was charged.
11/13 I sent e-mail "I have already cancelled, please refund ! "

And to this moment, I don't receive only one e-mail from them, nor the item I ordered.
My order status in their homepage is still "Pending", but they don't refund.

Are they swindlers?

"I ordered 2 UV Cold cathode kit from hardwarecooling.com on Thursday. Received an email on them friday morning stating that the uv cold cathode kits were a typo and that they were out of stock anyway. I replied back and told them I would like the blue cold cathode kits instead and told them to honor my order. Received my order on Monday. It seems a little hard to believe after reading all the bad ratings but these guys are really quick with shipping, prompt with emails, and they know how to treat their customers. "Buyer Beware!
I have never been this unsatisfied with an online order. Payment went through immediately, who knows what the status of my order is two weeks later. I've left a voice mail and an email, with NO response. This company is very unprofessional, and I will never do business with them again. If you can help it stay away from them; the prices aren't worth your trouble!

*UPDATE* After 2 more emails and 2 more phone calls, I finally received a reply. A few days later, after having my order changed due to inventory problems, I received my items. One item worked, the other was DOA! This must be a joke...I wish I had never heard of hardwarecooling.com. If you try doing business with them, you'll wish the same thing.

"They charged my card the very day I ordered,
which was 9 days ago, and I've heard nothing,
and gotten no reply to my email requests.

(In contrast to what one other poster said, my
credit card company told me it is not illegal
for them to charge the card right away, before
anything is shipped. It's legal as soon as the
customer authorizes the charges by placing the
order.)

I sure wish I had read their reviews before i
ordered! I would never order from a place
that had so many fake reviews that had to
be pulled!

I won't be putting up with any drawn-out drama.

Either they'll complete a successful transaction and get it right in the next day or
two, or, I'll cancel the charge with the credit
card company. Either way I'll be done with them
in a couple of days.

UPDATE: I got a phone call the day after this review appeared. Humble and helpful as a little bunny, tho I'm far more impressed with simple competence. I wanted a tracking number by the
end of the next day, showing it had shipped, and he sent me one the same afternoon. He said he'd have to refund a couple of items, because they weren't in stock. (Less than $20 on a $206 order)

Now I have the package, but no refund to my account for the missing keyboard.

All in all, it's like being a parent, not a customer, and I'll not be back.

But I will be back here for the ratings, so there
won't be a next time!

"Ordered a Thermaltake Crystal Orb on 9/6/04. Received email on 9/7/04 stating item had been shipped. Given bogus tracking number. emailed them on 9/9/04 at 9:47 AM about this and received no reply. Credit card is billed that day for the item. Still no reply. I emailed them again at 9:47 PM and this morning still no reply. Still tracking does not work. If this item had been shipped on 9/7/04 as stated then I should have already received it since it is only 214 miles from them to me. PA to VA. I will never do business with them again and advise everyone to do the same

***UPDATE***
I emailed Tom and told him that I had posted a review on Bizrate and also filed a complaint at IFCC and contacted my credit card to stop the payment and a couple hours later I get a phone call from him. I agreed to wait until Monday before taking any more action. If I don't receive my order Monday I'll post his phone number and take a nice 214 mile vacation. I here PA is nice this time of year!

***UPDATE***
Received my order today. I guess I'm one of the few lucky ones. He did decide on his own though to change the shipping from United Parcel Service that I paid $6.40 for to US Mail. There was no option for US Mail during my checkout. Beware if you must purchase from this guy.
You have been warned!

"I ordered a case fan from their webpage and they sent me a differant fan. When I asked for an exchange they told me they don't stock the fan that they are displaying/advertising. They did offer a refund.

It appears from the other reviews posted here that, if your item is in stock and there is no confusion in shipping or payment, Hardware Cooling is easy to deal with.

If, on the other hand, there is any problem at all (and there would appear to be an unusually high ratio of problems), they just blow you off or ignore you.

I had to threaten physical violence to get a response, butr they finally sent me a refund.
