"After doing some careful research, and shopping around, I decided to give HomeEverything a try. I was looking for a new Over-the-Range Microwave for my new kitchen, and HomeEverything had the best price. To this day, I regret my decision to do business with this company. I originally placed my on Thursday, 7/30/10. I live in NY and HomeEverything is in NY. I figured I'd have the item by early next week. I called the following Monday and was told/assured that my order would be shipped out the next day (Tuesday). I figured I would then get my order on Wednesday. After receiving nothing Wednesday, I called HomeEverything again. I was told that my order was now scheduled to be shipped out on Friday. I asked why the delay. I was told they had to re-package the item. A week to re-package an item that is already quite securely packaged? The irony here is that I eventually ordered the item from Best Buy and the item arrived in the original manufacturer's box, in perfect condition, and obviously with no need to be repackaged. So what does HomeEverything do when they repackage things? I suspect they do nothing but waste time; that's what. Anyway, so when I found this out, I decided to cancel my order. At that point, the sales representative gave me an extremely hard time. He proceeded to go on about how they were the biggest and best company around and that I would never find a better price, or faster service, etc, etc. I kept requesting he just cancel my order and he just kept going on. Finally after arguing with him for 10-15 minutes, I got my order canceled. I was told I would see my credit in 3-5 days. Here we are over a week later, and I still do not have my credit. On the bright side, as previously stated, I did order the same item from BestBuy.Com. It came in 3 days, and I got it for $12 less. I guess you were wrong HomeEverything. I found a better deal; a cheaper price, faster service and no sales representatives that mouth off. I would never do business with this company again."
"They charged my credit card the moment I made the order. It's been one week and NOTHING yet, no tracking or info other than an order received confirmation. I think this is typical of New York companies, they hold your money for a long while before doing anything. I am disappointed because when I order items over the Internet they usually come very quickly. This was an Amazon recommened place (I thought) and other items I ordered from Amazon on the same day have already arrived at my front door. I would say order some where else and pay a little bit more. The money you save on shipping and tax is not worth it because I ordered a small refridgerator because my old one broke and it's summer and I have no refridgerator for a long time. :-("
"We were disappointed when the bing cashback we received was incorrect. We contacted customer service, and got Fred S, and were very pleased with the handling of the matter. Fred just processed the difference of what we should have gotten back, as a refund to our credit card. It took a few days for it to show up, and we had to recite some Bing rules to Fred, but otherwise it was speedy and efficient and less pain to handle than expected. And, by the way, before we got Fred S, I had gotten someone else, but the call was dropped. I received a return phone call from him at my house. I was shocked. Anytime a customer service call drops, I just assume I am out of luck, whereas this store calls you back."
"This company does not appear to have a warehouse so nothing is "in stock". The product must first be shipped to them from the manufacturer and then to you. This is certainly a valid business model. However, it is unethical for them to (1) state the item is in stock and (2) charge your credit card before shipping the item.
I ordered a microwave on 7/7/10. Two weeks later (on 7/21) a package arrived that contained the wrong microwave (a smaller and cheaper model). I called to complain and spoke to a supervisor named Jamie. He said that he could not ship the correct microwave until they received the incorrect one and they would instruct UPS to pick it up in two days. I told him that was not acceptable and that I wanted the correct one shipped to me overnight. He said that he could send it via 2-day air but he would have to charge my credit card again to protect themselves from fraud. I reluctantly agreed. UPS never showed up to pick up the incorrect package and I had to call several times to straighten that out. Also, the correct microwave was shipped via UPS ground (not 2-day air as promised) and it took another 8 days to receive it (7/29).
UPDATE: After posting this review I got a call from the company apologizing for their mistakes. I was also compensated for the excessive delays. They read these reviews and they appear to be concerned about their customers and reputation."
"After spending a lot of time researching the cooktop I wanted to purchase and then the store who sold it for the best price, I purchased my GE Profile induction cooktop from Homeeverything. I read the many reviews about Homeeverything and was a little concerned with the negative comments which seemed to mostly be related to shipping and not the quality of the product. So I decided to order anyway and just plan for a long shipping time. The total price of my cooktop, trim kit and warranty was $1000 less than my local retailer. I am glad I made this decision. We received the cooktop within two weeks. The trim kit was damaged by UPS. Homeeverything immediately sent another trim kit with no hassle. We ended up not needing the trim kit after all and were able to return it for a refund. Thank you to Scott for helping all of this run smoothly. I am very happy with my product, the timeliness of shipment and the monetary savings. "

"More than two months has passed and the item I ordered has not arrived. I've had only minimal communication from the business and only in response to my request for information. I was told the item would ship the week of July 19th, but still no further word and it's been two months since I placed my order. Item finally was delivered Aug 10th and is just what we ordered and at a very good price. I'd order from them again as long as I didn't have a firm deadline for needing the item. "

"Rich was a life saver!! I had ordered an LG double oven from another online competitor on July 4th. I called a week later to check the status of the order. They then informed me that the double oven wouldn't arrive until the end of July. The oven had to be delivered to their warehouse before it was shipped to me. Needless to say, I cancelled that order and placed an order from Home Everything and Rich took care of me from placing the order, to billing questions, to expediting my shipment due to the time crunch I was in. The double oven arrived just like he said it would. This oven is offered at retail locations for almost $ 1000 more than what Home Everything sells it for. "DO NOT BUY FROM THIS RETAILER! This is buy far the worst on line retailer I have come across. I placed an order with this company after seeing their 5 star rating on consumer reports website. I ordered a Samsung refrigerator on July 6th. As I write this review on July 22nd, my refrigerator has still not shipped. No emails about back orders, no phone call. No communication whatsoever. I have called multiple times only to be given the runaround. "my order is in shipping" is a common refrain. Calls to shipping are not answered and messages are not returned. I finally spoke to someone from shipping yesterday who was very short and very rude. She informed me that my delivery would happen this coming Sunday July 25 although she would not give me a time of delivery or a tracking number. She told me I would be contacted with that information. That has not happened and the status of my order has not changed on their website. I seriously doubt my order will arrive on Sunday. I am a VERY dissatisfied customer. A one star rating for this company would be generous!"
"on or around may 1 i decided that we will remodel my kitchen.i started to price out appliances for an entire new kitchen and realized that is was a little more than my budget allowed me.that weekend we were invited for a party by one of my friends and he told me ,why dont you go to homeeverything where i just bought a microwave from and saved money and was really happy with the service. as being an older person i was realy nervous of placing a close to ten thousand dollar order over the web so my wife came with the idea of just ordering the cooktop for a trial.on about june 15 i ordered online the cook top. i was constantly updated with emails,my package arrived on time, and was so well packed it took me a couple of minutes just to unwrap it. never in my 60 plus years have i seen something packed so well.on july 8 i went ahead and called homeeverything spoke to a salesman named michael who was extremly professional,poilte and very knowledgable. he helped me place my order for the rest of my kitchen and answered all my questions.i am writing this review because i believe in giving credit when due.
