"This is an update for my review on 06/22/2010. I was told they were going to refund my money within 48-72 hours if I remember correctly. However, from the evening of 06/22/2010 to today 3:36pm 06/28/2010 (a weekend included), no money has been refunded. And I didn't get any confirmation email of my order had been canceled. And I did get an email from NexTag asking whether they could release my email account to Home Everything since Home Everything wants to talk to me about my review. If I don't respond within 7 days, NexTag will remove my review from the website. Now I know why there are almost all good reviews for Home Everything. Bad, bad, bad customer service.
don't like the experience. I decided to make a purchase because I saw the rating of the website was 4.5 stars out of 5 stars. However, I wouldn't give them even 1 star after this experience. I placed the order on Monday, 06/14/2010. No shipment notice from Monday to Friday. So I called the customer service on Friday evening, 06/18/2010. After put on hold for 15 min, finally a representative told me that the item would go out on the coming Monday or Tuesday. Monday and Tuesday had passed, and I still haven't got any shipment notice. So I called the custom service. Again after 15 min on hold, finally a representative told me that the item would go out on Wednesday or Thursday. So I asked him to cancel the order. He said he couldn't cancel the order. Then he hung up on me. I immediately called the custom service again. 15 min waiting, I got another representative on the line and he agreed to cancel my order. I will never buy anything from this website any more."

"I had been researching a GE Dishwasher for some time. Homeeverything.com was consistently one of the lower priced sellers but not the lowest. I chose to purchase through them because I had previously purchased a cook top and double-oven with them. That purchase went very smooth. However the oven was damaged during shipping. We declined shipment and notified homeeverything.com. A new oven was shipped the following day with no other problems. So high ratings for that transaction.
They had the dishwasher I wanted for $934.00, I found the dishwasher priced at $908.00 on another site so I emailed for a price match. The match was declined because that particular site was not an authorized dealer but Michael M offered to sell the dishwasher for $920 plus any other returning customer coupons I had. I emailed again with a different site that listed the dishwasher for $909.00. I didn’t get a reply right away but when I checked the site to confirm they were an authorized dealer, the dishwasher was on sale for $899.00. I telephoned Michael and explained that the last price match had changed and the price was now even lower. The dishwasher had gone on sale at homeverything.com as well. It was listed for $918.00. Michael M. stated he would not honor that price match because the site was not an authorized dealer. I directed him to the page on the site that clearly stated they were an authorized dealer. He then said the price was too low but that he would honor the $909 plus any return customer coupons I had. I told him I would have to think about it.
Later I called back and spoke with Sal. After I explained to him the situation, he put me on hold (for what seemed to be forever), then said he would honor the $899.00. He took the order and said I would receive an invoice within the next few minutes. I waited an hour and emailed for status. I got no response. On May 17, 2010 I telephoned and requested the invoice. The person I spoke with at that time said they had my email address wrong. I got the invoice right away but after reviewing it, I noticed that the contact number was incorrect so I emailed them again and requested they correct it and add the sale to my online account so I could track it. Again I got no response. Unable to reach them by phone, I emailed again on May 19, 2010 expressing my dissatisfaction and frustration that I had no information and although my credit card was billed on May 14, 2010, the dishwasher had not been shipped. Again I got no response so I telephoned on May 24, 2010. I told them that the contact number on the invoice was incorrect. They told me the dishwasher had already shipped and that I would have to contact the shipper directly. They provided a tracking number and phone number for the shipper. The shipper said they did not have the dishwasher yet but took my contact information. I did not receive the dishwasher until May 28, 2010. A full 14 days after the dishwasher had been billed to my credit card. Its now been 19 days since I received the dishwasher and I have not received the $100 gift card (coupon code DINNER100) or information to obtain the gift card as I was promised. I telephoned on June 14, 2010 and was told the information would be given to the supervisor so that the email with the information could be sent to me. That was 2 days ago. To add to the frustration, I had to have the dishwasher serviced by GE the day after I received it, it is now working fine but just another point of frustration.
Update: After leaving this review, I was contacted by Albert E who apologized for all the inconveniences that resulted from this last transaction. He sent me the information on how to obtain the gift certificate and requested I reconsider giving them another chance. He offered a satisfactory solution so in the end I am a satisfied customer and do plan to look to them for my future appliance purchases.

"The real test of a company selling online is whether they'll solve any problems that come up. I bought a Whirlpool French door fridge in January. It arrived with a scratched handle, and Jamie in Customer Service sent a new one right away. However, the fridge was also making a very strange ringing noise, too. Long story short, I had several different service calls to try to fix the noise, but nothing helped. Jamie stayed in touch with the Whirlpool rep the whole time and eventually HomeEverything sent a brand new replacement fridge and picked up the noisy one. It's perfectly beautiful and best of all, I hear only the normal quiet hum a fridge makes. THANK YOU JAMIE!! "
"I ordered a washer dryer on May 7, 2010. At first contact the company told me they did not have the items and would be receiving them on the week of May 24th. I called late in the week and they told me they would then have the items on the 31st. The 31st came and went with no communication from the company. Finally without further communication I called them on the 7th of June and told them that if they did not ship my item by the next morning I would cancel my order. Unbeknownst to me, the company had actually charged my credit card back on the 1st of June WITHOUT shipping the items (which they cannot do legally). Their explanation was that the item had been damaged while loading and then had to be replaced. Ironic that I was never informed of this even though my credit card was charged. When I called on the 8th of June to see if the items had shipped they told me there was another delay and the items could not ship until the 10th of June. I cancelled the order. When I tried to explain my frustrations to the agent, I was hung up on. "

The product I ordered was backordered, but after three emails to check on status, I had to finally call the 800 number to find out it was on backorder - an email notice would have all been all it would have taken to improve my experience. Once product arrived in their warehouse it was shipped promptly, but I am still waiting on UPS to deliver."

"I'm really happy with my Weber Genesis EP-320 grill purchase. I got a really good price w/their 10% off promo that they had going on. In addition they also threw in the Weber grill cover (around $50) plus free shipping and no sales tax. The order took 10 days to get delivered (NY to CA). Of those 10 days they were shut down 2 days for passover and there was a weekend in there. So it was more like 6 days.
AM Home Delivery is the company that they used to deliver the 170lbs box. AM Trucking's website said that they'd call the customer to setup a delivery time. Well, I never received a call from the delivery company but was expecting them after checking the tracking number on their website.
Overall it was a good experience and I'd order from them again. Thanks! "
"It may have competitive price but it is not worth saving the few bucks to go through the hassle of buying from this site. I ordered a range hood as it stated "in stock" and shipped within 3-5 business days. The very next day I got a message saying that it was on backorder from the manufacturer and would need 3-5 days before shipment. So 7 days later, nothing happened, no status update or anything. I checked the website and the status said that the order was in a shipping terminal but no tracking number. I checked again the next day, same thing. Finally I got on the phone with customer service (after 10 minutes of on hold) and a customer representative told me in a flat tone that it would be shipped the next day. He sounded that I was wrong to call and bother him. Since they already charged my credit card days ago it was too much trouble to cancel at this point. I won't order from this website again, lesson learned."
"I had a wonderful experience with HE:
First, the prices are UNBEATABLE. For the same items, I could have easily spent $700+ anywhere else and despite the Memorial Day sales, and I know that because I have searched these items for a long time and lost quite a bit of time bargaining with sales reps at Sears who did not want to even consider additional specials for buying multiple items. The fact that there is no sales tax makes this the best site out there. I see other people had complaints about not delivering items right away. In response to that: To me, price matters the most. There is no store out there that doesn't run into back-ordering. As long as the items arrive in a perfect condition and are installed right, I do not see any problem with that. Of course, I expect to receive my items within a month!
Second, I appreciate the service: I spoke with Joe S., who explained to me what to expect in respect to delivery and installation. I give Joe S. 5 stars for the professional service!
Third, there were no hidden charges. Everything is explained in detail and rebates are easily downloaded.

Placed an order for a microwave, shows as 'in stock' and ships within 3-5 business days.
Online status shows NOTHING, however.
So, i call their 800 number, and after literally 40 minutes on hold, get a very surly CSR who truly, in response to my saying 'hey, that's a really long wait' says 'that's a normal wait'. Really? if so, how about getting more reps?
anyway, he tells me web site will update in a day or two and should ship 'soon'
call back again today, another wait, and this rep says 'yeah, it should ship monday' (which, btw, is a holiday, so it assuredly won't ship monday).
I say i wish to cancel my order, since it hasn't shipped yet (and btw, they managed to charge my credit card immediately the day it was ordered, and well before it ever shipped). He says 'you need to speak to a manager to cancel your order' so i say fine, i'll speak to a manager, and then he says 'well, we're too busy now, but i can cancel it for you without a manager'. so i ask him to do so, and then ask to speak to a manager to complain about the service and really, truly, he then says 'i'm not going to let you speak to a manager just for a complaint'. Really? 'just' for a complaint?
Additionally, it took three emails via their 'contact us' messaging service before any reply.
So, we'll see when / if they actually credit my credit card.
bottom line, bait and switch, advertise a great price, charge CC immediately, and then much delayed shipment. customer service is horrible, with prolonged phone holds and non-response to emails. avoid avoid avoid."

The story: After ordering a grill from HE, I received a series of e-mails over the course of a week or so, each pushing back my ship date (from 1-3 days to 2-3 weeks). After speaking with a couple of reps who were borderline rude (OK, rude.), I canceled my order.
Shortly thereafter, and much to my surprise, I was contacted by an agent from HE, Jamie. This guy was incredible. Very kind. Very sympathetic. Very apologetic. Offered me a deal and it worked. There were a couple more bumps along the way, but he stayed in contact and helped me out.
Nearly 3 weeks after placing my order, the grill finally arrived. Great price, great extras, great service (from Jamie). Would I shop at HE again? I think so. In fact, I probably would, which is a vast improvement over my opinion of this company whilst I was canceling my order.

"Please don't buy from this company! We ordered a new GE Profile Gas Oven for our newly remodeled kitchen. We were trying to cut cost due to completely remodeling a kitchen on a house we just bought. That's were we went wrong, I read the reviews and thought well it seems okay, you can't please everyone so let's give it a shot. HomeEverything is an absolute horrible company - they don't care about the consumer and they lie to keep your order.
Long story short, we placed an order on May 2, 2010 and still haven't received it 20 days later (I just cancelled the order, no amount of savings is worth this aggravation). I called numerous times to check on the order and each time they said it would ship a day later than they originally said. After the 3rd call AND excuse, I cancelled the order only to be told that it was "dumb" to cancel just to spite them. I said it was pretty dumb to treat your customers like that and to cancel the order...they told me it wasn't their fault it didn't ship the first time (the shipping co wouldn't accept due to damages) and it didn't ship earlier because it was backordered (it wasn't). I really wanted this company to work out, but sadly it is just another pathetic company that will take you for what they can. The extreme savings are so not worth the way the treat their customers or the aggravation.
