Ship date moved quite a bit due to low stock at the manufacturer. While this happens, my credit card was charged on the _expected_ ship date and the charge held there until for 10 days until it actually shipped. HE did not have sufficient information to give me a more exact ship date, although they tried.

Interaction with customer service was very pleasant and they were as helpful as they could be. Better info on backordered items, delayed shipment, and not charging the credit card until item is actually shipped would improve this review to 100% score."

"I am beyond disappointed with the service of this company. We had ordered a 3 piece sectional couch on May 30, which was not shipped until June 7 arriving at my house June 12. This was okay; I did not expect it to be on my doorstep the following day. When the pieces arrived, we had to refuse 2 of the pieces due to damage (There was a slice in one side of the chaise piece and glue residue all over the sofa cushions). We called customer service and they assured us that they would have the replacement pieces sent out ASAP. On June 26, the replacement pieces had finally arrived except they were both damaged again (A leg on the sofa had been smashed into the sofa, the fabric on the arm rest appeared to have not been sown on to the rest of the couch and the chaise had been tied so tight during shipment, that it crushed the arm rest of the chaise). We refused the shipment again and called customer service right away. We were told that another shipment of replacement pieces would be sent out by Friday and that we could expect the rest of our order before the end of June. In the mean time, while in "contact" with the head of the claims department, we were told it was our fault that homelement could not claim the damages as a result of shipping because the shipping slip was noted incorrectly (the delivery man was the one who made all of the notes). They “can’t” expedite the shipment nor will they use another shipping company since the current one (YRC) seems unable to not damage anything. We asked that this time they at least add some extra packaging so that the pieces do not receive damage. Their response was “we can ask.” Multiple times now, when we call customer service, we are put on hold for 10-20 minutes before we have to hang up and call back again (a few times they didn’t even answer their phones). Now our new expected SHIPMENT date (when it leaves the warehouse) is July 10. This shipment doesn’t even promise that the pieces won’t be damaged again. It will have been 6 weeks since the order date and 3 delivery attempts (In the middle of a work day when you need multiple people to help unload the items) and we still do not have a couch. Nothing has been done to make this situation better except to keep shipping out replacement pieces. they did give me 5% back ($90) but this doesn not put a couch in my living room. I will NEVER EVER order from this company again nor will I ever recommend them to anybody, if anything I will promote how horrible they are. "

"The ordering process was simple and straightforward. I was delighted with the shipping schedule however was not happy with the drop at the door rule. The dining side table was damaged on the bottom corner and also in the inside of the unit of which I used wood glue and color markers to correct, still slightly visible if you look at it hard enough. Price was good on unit, overall I would order again from Homelement if I were in need of furniture and could get it at the right price."

"Homelement has a great selection, which actually made it a bit more difficult to decide which to get. The sorting functions by size, color, price, and other attributes is better than any other site I've used.

It was easy ordering, and they kept me informed as to shipping status. The item arrived as promised. The packaging could have been slightly better, but that is not a thing that Homelement can change, as it is factory packaging. One part was slightly scuffed, but did not show once assembled.

I am very happy with them, their pricing is extremely competitive, and I will certainly choose to shop with them again."

"I purchased a Saint Charles China Cabinet from Homelement Online Furniture Superstore. I was apprehensive buying a large piece of furniture based on a few small pictures and a literal description and never having bought from Homelement before. The cabinet arrived on time through a delivery company who had called ahead of time to schedule a delivery appointment which was all very professional. The cabinet was well packaged and the cabinet had no damage when unpacked. The cabinet is as pictured and is quite beautiful. I am very pleased with my cabinet and with Homelement and would not hesitate to buy from them again."
