They called and said the cord was not manufactured any longer but could substitute a refurbished one, so I agreed to purchase that one. When it came, I called them (no toll-free number) and said it didn't fit the machine. They said to send it back and had no substitute to offer. My order was a replacement high-end LCD screen for a Dell XPS notebook, which is a custom order item. Impact Computer's price was less than half of getting it new from Dell and about 15% cheaper than other online retailers. After the order I was kept informed of the status and received the product in less than 1 week. The LCD was packed well and worked well. I was very pleased with my transaction with Impact Computers. "What a scam of a company. I ordered a video card from them that was priced less than anywhere else on the web. 2 hours after I order I get a cancellation e-mail saying they have been trying to locate my product but it is out of stock with no arrival date. It was a stock e-mail that didnt apply to my order. It was intended for an order that has been in process for a while.

I asked to keep the order active for 30 days (site say you can request it) and I was told no. The customer service guy, Fabian, was about as not helpful as anyone I have ever dealt with and rude.

A week later the product is still on their site listed as in-stock. Coincidence it is at a higher price? When I chatted with a rep he told me it still wasnt in stock an their inventory system is not real-time. What about a week-time inventory system?

Terribly run company. Dont bother. Roll of the dice if you will even get your product."
