A week later I call and learn that I am back-ordered and it will be another week before they ship. A week later I call and learn that my order is delayed and it will be at least another week before they ship. Don't waste your time with this company unless you don't mind waiting 2 months for your order."

"I called today, inquiring about replacement springs for my attic ladder. I spoke to Jason, at the Georgia store. Hands down, the most helpful customer service I’ve ever received.
Jason took the time to listen to what I was needing. When I explained to him what I needed, he told me that my attic ladder was over 20 years old, and that the parts I needed, would be difficult to find.
He also did something unusual- he went on to give me the name and number of a company who could possibly help me, and they did!!!
I didn’t buy anything, from Industrial Ladder, today, but Jason’s treatment of me, and his willingness to go above and beyond, to help me, will persuade me to deal with this company in the future. If there’s a bad review, here, it will certainly not be Jason, who is responsible..."
"Ordered a 20" x 20' plank for staging, here it is 1 month later and no plank... Called twice got hung up on once because I was having difficulty hearing the man (hard of hearing) not to mention I emailed once with no response and just emailed again and If i dont have this within a week I will be canceling the order.. "My experience was much the same as the other negative ones here. The website says most items are shipped "within several business days." After 19 days of no communication from the Chicago branch of the seller, plus one conversation assuring me my order finally would be shipped promptly--(it wasn't)--I just cancelled the order. Interestingly, the person I talked to signed off by saying "It's been my pleasure," as opposed to an apology for wasting nearly three weeks of my time. I guess they aren't bothered by situations such as mine and the others noted in reviews on this site."
"I had previously gone to Home Depot to get some Husky ladders for my crews and boy was that a mistake. Worst pieces of junk I've seen in years. Turns out that brand is all made in China, and are inferior products. I decided to buy American and bought some Little Giant ladders from this company earlier this month. Their staff actually knew what they were talking about and helped me find the right ones for my crews (residential and commercial building restoration). We usually deal with high ceilings so they suggested some good ones that are working great. Didn't get a confirmation email right away, but the ladders showed up a week later, they did a partial shipment, which I thought was great customer service. Long story short, don't buy ladders made in China (Little Giant is 100% USA) and these guys have some good ladders, good pricing, and a good sales staff."

They were able to tell me which warehose the items were stocked in, and that it would be shipped frre of charge...a real plus. The unit arrived on time and in good condition. "I ordered a Tapco Brake from these guys on 11-30-12, was told it would ship the next day and I should get it in 5-7 days. Here we are 12-28-12 still no brake, being told "you should get it by Wednesday of next week. It is in transit as we speak from the factory." Yeah like I haven't heard that before from these guys...only every week I talk to them. I picked these guys because they had the best published price. Boy have they taught me a few things. When you order something ask...

3)what will the total price be
4)research the company before you buy!!!! Especially if you have never purchased from them before.
I will never ever order anything from them again! Ever! With the late penalties I encured from passing the deadline of the job this brake went from $2,910.00 to well over $4,000.00 plus having to re-order from another company at a higher price ($400.00). The sad thing is all their competitors are well aware of these problems and told me how Industrial Ladder runs their show step by step!

4)we finally have item in transit to our warehouse, we should get it today then ship it directly to you.

What a joke. I thought I was going with a reputable company. Turns out my 6 year old daughter could run a better business! I will be ordering from Acme Tools Tool Crib of the North tomorrow! I can only wonder how did they get so big?
January 2, 2013 UPDATE: After much frustration, disappointment and yet another missed delivery date I cancelled my order with Industrial Ladder and Supply. I do have to hand it to them that they were exceptionally fast with getting the refund processed! I would also like to hand it to the salesman Will (not Bill). He did a good job of trying to get things going for me and keeping me up-to-date with my order. This debacle was not his fault and he did his best with the information that was given to him. My hat is off to him. But the bottom line is this was a disater and they have much to learn."
"I run a small construction company in Dallas, TX. I ordered a pair of tranzporter wall lifts from Industrial ladder and was promised delivery on a certain date. That date came and went and went. After getting the run around by "Bill" so many times. Calling him but he was off work that day. So many promises. It has now been over 14 days and after calling "Bill" again, I found out that , ooops... They weren't ordered and sent to our warehouse so they could be transfered to you. Sorry.... Its sad that in todays economy, people are running companies like that and loosing business because of inadequate customer service. No follow up on orders, no calls, and generally an attitude of, who cares what you got going on, I got a job and that is all that matters. I do deals with people all over Texas and I highly do not reccomend this company to do business with."
"I recently ordered a truck tool chest from Industrial Ladder & Supply online because they had the best price. After waiting five days for shipping conformation (with no luck), I called and was told it would be 5-7 days before it would ship. Wow, 10-17 days just to ship and another 3-5 to get it. I could build my own in 20 days. Wound up buying the same chest from their competition at a higher price, but it shipped the next day and had it 3 days later. I recommend anyone but Industrial Ladder & Supply!

"I ordered a ladder rack from these guys over 2 months ago.. They said it would take up to two to three weeks to arrive.. When I got the ladder rack it was torn out of the box and was already used.. I refused it, I told them I am not buying a used ladder rack and that I paid for a new one and they took it back the same day that it arrived.. A week later another man from Industial Ladder CO came to my place of business to collect the ladder rack, I told him you guys already took it the day you delivered it..
The day they took it back I called Rick from Florida and told him that I refused It and that I closed out my Well Fargo card and to refund my money to a different bank that I use.. I gave him the new card# and all the information needed and he assured me that they would not return it to the old account and that they would refund my money to the other card.. I was then satisfied.. Two weeks later I called cause I have not recieved any refund and I was told that they have not even moved an inch on it.. After coplaining I finaly got them to refund the money, so they say!! After all this what do they do, they refund the money to my closed Wells Fargo account.. I am out $866.55 for the past month not to mention I still dont have a ladder rack cause Industrial Ladder has my money!!!! God only knows when and if I will ever get my money back soon!!! Going to call th BBB and file a complaint and guess take them to small claims court, they really leave me no other options!!
For anybody that wants to buy anything from this company be smart and don't!! I have been going through all this for 2 months now, its just not worth it!!!!"

Austin Maurer, the New Jersey Branch Manager, provided answers to all my questions in a professional, knowledgeable and patient manner. He worked his delivery time - quick, I may add - around my schedule. The ladder could have been delivered sooner, but I needed a few extra days, so I informed Austin to delay it a few days and he accommodated my schedule.
Overall, I highly recommend Industrial Ladder and Supply Company.
