"There’s no specifications details on the website for the shift lever I purchased. Now that said, I did use the website to navigate for my specific make, model and year motorcycle - and according to J&P Cycles it was supposed to be a true fit for my specific year and model. I did the chats with the personnel from the website who explained that I didn’t know my own motorcycle parts and that what I was asking for wasn’t a real part and if it was they didn’t have that; i.e., I must be ignorant. Customer service didn’t come right out and say that. But I do know the south end of a north bound mule when I see one.
After further searching on their website I did find the part I believed was a match and still had to deal with customer service who was untrained in their own OEM parts replacements! I had to ask about the length and widths of the parts and all I could get was “probably this or that” and “not sure”.
When the part did arrive, it wouldn’t have fit my year, make and model at all. It was for a small sportster.
Had the specifications been listed on the parts website, I could have avoided this entire situation. And wasting my money.
If I had a way to upload a picture of the part I needed and the part that was shipped to me as the OEM replacement, y’all would laugh at the failure of J&P Cycles! "

"They sent me a wrong part. Can't return it because I have already tried to install it. Threads were wrong for the transmission cover. Thread size is 5/16th 25. I think the threads on the part were metric. I have contacted them about it. I am still waiting on a reply."

Someone measured wrong - they are 11 inches from top to bottom but that's not how you measure them
You measure handle bars from curve to curve BUT these do fit my 96 Softail and higher ones wouldn't fit without changing cables and wires. I bought them for that reason after reading a review.
That's why I rated 4 stars instead of 5.... Great 'Old School' price tho"
