Terrible customer service, order cancelled for no reason

"Jet abruptly cancelled my order and failed to provide a clear explanation of why this was done. Now I have to scramble to get Easter gifts for my nieces and nephews just days before the holiday. Next time, I'm sticking with Amazon -- way more reliable, and better prices overall too."

Bad Customer Service

"So my order was cancelled and my account was blocked, one day after i make my 1st purchase..when dothey inform me about that?when i called them two days after the order was placed to check on the status because i cant login to the account. I was told the accounts team would contact me and i should have received a mail by now regarding that. They had no clue when the accounting team can contact. As soon as i get off the phone i get an email from them asking me to call a certain number to verify my purchase..this is the accounts section..they asked me a few questions and finally said that i would get an email confirming my purchase if they can verify info i provided. If they cant verify the info, my account will remain locked and i wont be even notified about it. Great! so is there a time frame to get the confirmation email..Unfortunately not, but if they were me they would wait for atleast 48 hrs...this is a disastrous way to run things around. And now i have to wait for another 2 days and a weekend to gift my frnd a birthday present because my billing address is different from shipping address.I am fine with extra precaution, but no time frames ?seriously? you dont knw when u can complete verification? and you wont even email if info cant be verified? so i have to wait a week after the purchase to confirm it and then another week to deliver it and in the mean time i cant buy the product somewhere else because, you MAY unblock and process the payment, again no time frame on when you can do that! "

BEWARE of shopping with Jet.com

"BEWARE shopping at #Jet.com. If you do, be very careful—look carefully at every little detail of what you're buying. Their prices are not all that great to begin with so make sure to compare with ?#?Walmart?, ?#?Amazon?, ?#?Target?, etc.
I lost over 80 bucks with them by searching for a very specific product on Jet's website; the results on their site came up confirming they had the product, and I purchased 7 of them. When I got the product (it's hairspray) they had sent the wrong version of the product. I can't use it, it's non-returnable, and they won't do anything about the fact that their website shows the wrong product but with the correct description. I typed it correctly in the search bar, their "search results" were correct - but the actual product was the wrong one. They need to be more careful of posting their products, but it's my huge loss of 80 bucks. I'll certainly think twice about buying from Jet.com again. Their customer service sure wins no awards, either.

Cancelled order because my partner also has an account

"Both my partner and I have accounts on Jet (before being marries). When I placed my latest order, it was immediately cancelled without reason. When I contacted them (long run around), I learned they only allow one account per household. Ironically, after a long struggle for equality in this country, my partner and I still have no rights on Jet."

This website is a scam/fraud!!

"I am furious w/what occurred on my first and last order ever placed w/Jet.com.
I ordered (4) Nuvo dual flood lights for approx. $65, and was shipped completely different brands of single flood lights.
Then, when I called in to customer service, I was told that it was a "glitch" in the system that those lights were listed that inexpensively, and that I would have to pay double (approx. $120) to get the correct ones, which are still shown on the website, but for more money.
This is the clearest example of scam/fraud that I've ever seen!
I ignored all of the terrible reviews online, thinking that buying flood lights was low risk, but now I see that was a mistake, and I will not make it again!

SMALL ORDERS AND HALF NOT AVAILABLE!

"I recently tried to use jet.com for the first time. What a shock for my large budget that you can order no more than 22 items at a time. I actually emailed with one of their customer service people and it was suggested that i just do multiple orders. Fine. That would be about 5-6 separate orders for my family in a 2 week period. No Way. I decided to go ahead and order a few large volume items where I knew I could save money. At checkout time my small list of 7 items was reduced to 4 because the items went "out of stock" and were no longer available. I just dumped the order. It wasn't worth the hassle. I am sticking to Walmart Pick-up and Amazon where the only time I worry about racing to get an item before it's gone is at Christmas."

Must be based in North Korea

"I tried to purchase an item for 469.99. It was charged to my card, and sat for a full day. I emailed customer service and they assured me it was processing, that they give their vendors 24 to 48 to process the order. About an hour later it was cancelled. No reason, whatsoever. I see the item is still available. I placed an order for it again, and it was cancelled almost immediately. I don't know why they have things listed if you can't buy them. I'm assuming they are based out of North Korea.

Oh, and not that it matters I lost the 15% off coupon since I've already placed on order.

Never Had a Problem With Jet!

"My first purchase was a Samsung clothes washer. I had not heard of Jet and was a little weary but thanks to a Jet promo, the price was unbeatable and I went ahead with the order. The machine was delivered and works fine. Subsequently, I have ordered a number of other items such as groceries, an HP computer with an unbeatable price and other computer peripherals.
Some of the items arrive so fast, it is startling.
Being used to get Amazon boxes when I order from Amazon, I was a little surprised, at first, to see that nearly all these items where shipped by various other companies, not Jet.com.
But when you understand how Jet works, it makes sense. Whether the company will be successful in the long run, only time will tell. But when I need something and the price is right on Jet, I don't hesitate.
I am quite surprised at the bad reviews that Jet received and that is why I decided to share my experiences.

What a long strange trip it's been...

"I saw a VERY sweet deal for a television on jet.com. Even though I did my research on the television, the deal was so good that I immediately ordered it without doing my usual research on the vendor, in this case, jet.com. (I've seen commercials/ads before, so I knew they were somewhat legit, but that's about all I knew.)

After ordering, I checked out reviews for jet.com and, well, you can imagine my shock when I saw SO MANY negative reviews about everything from delivery time, service, returns, etc. It became my mission to stay in constant contact with them throughout the delivery. It was during that time when I was amazed at how many people the product has to go through until it reaches my door. Check this out:

I placed my order on jet.com. A day later, I check my order to see that it was fulfilled by Rakuten (Japanese vendor/wholesaler). I researched them, and of course, THOUSANDS of horrible reviews. I'm thinking, 'great, what have I gotten myself into?' Then a few days later I get a call from a woman who works for Beach Audio out in California. (Researched them, HORRIBLE reviews.) Evidently the TV was their product, and they were initiating shipping. The woman discussed a very specific set of delivery instructions, telling me to make sure I check the box for damage. If it's damaged, open it up to check the TV. If it's busted, don't sign for it, because it's easier/faster to initiate a return if I do not accept the package. This information differs from jet.com's return policy, so I contact a JetHead to see which return protocol I should follow. (I was legitimately worried about getting a damaged product based on the bad reviews and the fact that the woman on the phone was quite concerned.) I figured at this point, jet.com was the more reputable vendor, plus I had originally placed the order through them, so I would follow their return protocol if needed.

A few days later I get an email from jet with package tracking info. The link they sent took me right to a usps (or ups) tracking site. Well, guess what? Beach audio wasn't shipping the TV using usps, they had their own freight vendor called AIT Worldwide. Somehow jet had their tracking website info and they gave that to me over the phone.

I tracked the package on the AIT website for about a week. It doesn't show an estimated delivery date, rather just shows when/where it's been checked-in along the route. I contacted AIT via text to get a delivery estimate. They gave me an estimate and said the local delivery guys will call me to set up a delivery date/time when it gets closer. They had the wrong phone number listed as my contact info (had some number from New Jersey, no idea how that got in there) so I gave them my correct number.

A few more days goes by, and I see the package is getting closer to my city. Then I see the tracking info saying that they tried to call me. But I never received a call that day. So I called them, and of course, they never updated my contact info (even though the tracking info said my contact info was updated.) When I called AIT, they gave me the number of the local delivery guys. I called them and set up a time on Thursday between 1-5pm. They said they would call me Thursday morning to narrow down that window.

Thursday morning comes, and they actually called me! However, they said they were set for delivery on Friday morning. I told them no, we chose Thursday, so let's get it done today! They obliged and said they'd come first thing this morning.

The driver came on time, and I helped him lift it out of his truck. Box had minor damage. I signed for the TV. Took it out of the package, and it looked great. Plugged it in, and it's working just fine.

So, between all the companies I had to deal with (jet.com, Rakuten, Beach Audio, AIT) and all the texts, phone calls and emails I had to initiate, it ended up working out well for me. I can't help feeling like it's a big gamble I took by ordering the TV this way. But check it out, I got a TV that sells for $1400 on Amazon.com and $1800 at Best Buy for just $792. Damn right.

Would ever do this again? Hell no. Really felt like I dodged a bullet. Maybe I'd order something small from jet.com (maybe some antacids to deal with all the stress) but that's about it. So I'm satisfied about the sweet deal, but not satisfied about the way I had to stay on top of things to get my package here safely.
