"This company is a scam! They were very clear about a $5 fee to get answers regarding my Appliance problem. Technician was very helpful and resolved my problem. The $5 fee showed up immediately on my credit card statement, but it was not until 3 days later that another $30 fee showed up on my account. When I saw it, I just thought that the $5 must be for the app and the $30, although unexpected, was for the technician service...until a month later when another $30 charge showed up on my card from the same company! Upon a call to the company, the customer representative told me that I had agreed to the terms of service which outlined the recurring monthly charge. I obviously have no record of the terms of service and they have refused to send me a copy. The representative also told me that fees are "non-refundable". What a scam! This company is burying their info in, presumably, pages of terms of service. Avoid them at all costs!"
"The 5.00 join fee is a scam. As soon as you provide info the membership starts at 60.00. The answer was borderline helpful. I called to have the fee refunded, since I will never use the service again. You pay the 5.00 and they hope you don’t read the fine print.

"The website offers to let you post a question and join for just $5 but then charges you an additional $60 membership fee. Upon further research, I found that JustAnswer offers different prices depending on where you came from (an affiliate page or an ad). When you try to get a refund, they tell you that you can only get a refund for two reasons: 1) you didn't get an answer to your question, or 2) you weren't happy with the quality of your answer. When you call for a refund, speak with a supervisor, and ask them if they would like to refund you now or after you file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. That got them to refund me ASAP. Also, they show on their website that they are highly rated on Google, but that's a lie. Avoid this company!"

"I used the online service to ask for help to repair a refrigerator ice maker. The person asked several questions to find out about the issue and what i had done to try to repair. They indicated they could help me and sent me to an online form to sign up for a $5 trial. I was charged the $5 plus a $40 monthly membership fee. After 2 hours I never received a response on my issue. I called the company to cancel membership and they told they could not provide a refund but I would no longer be charged again. I asked if I will ever hear from service person and they indicated since I cancelled, they would not reach out to solve my problem. Called the credit card company to dispute the charge. Don't waste your time with this horrible company."

"Very upset about how much they charge. I called and cancelled and asked for a credit on my charge and they could not do this. It is $60 a month, for a service I no longer need and used it once. My fault for not canceling last month , but once the charge was made, which was less than 24 hours ago, they CAN'T refund you. Really, any other company can! Unacceptable!

"First, I'm looking for online licensed Psychiatrist and I saw the justanswer. Moreover, I have been charged ₱50 joining fee and a ₱2,867 membership fee. However, the website consist a false advertisement "Unlimited chats, plus discounts on counseling, hypnotherapy & other resources. Join for only ₱50. Cancel anytime.". I thought the first fee would be ₱50 only since I only want one question, but when I received the email they also charged me a membership fee. "I have come to realize that a call I made on 1/29/21 turned into a monthly charge of $34 beginning in February of 2021 until this past month of November 2022 by "JustMechanic".
I called "JustMechanic" aka "JustAnswer" on Saturday, 12/3/22 when I became aware that this has been charging to our account every month $34 since 2/29/21. I made a call on 1/29/21 and was charged $5 at the time and then the $34 charges started coming. On 12/3/22 I was informed by JustAnswer that I had a "membership" and they would need to cancel it and they could only refund me 3 months worth of charges.
On Monday, 12/5/22, I called our credit card company, Chase/United, to dispute the charges and have them fight for us. Because of timing, Chase/United will only fight for charges from August 2022 to now. JustAnswer is not using straightforward business practices. JustAnswer/Mechanic never provided any written documentation about charges until this past Saturday, 12/3/22.
If they are going to make monthly charges they should be required to share that the credit card is about the be "charged". There is nothing from them and I have the ability to search in my email account key words with years of data and information and there is NOTHING from them until the day I called to CANCEL something I had NO IDEA I was subscribed to. This is wrong on so many levels and takes advantage of people. Please help me to get credit for the additional 19 times we were fraudulently charged on our credit card. Please help me to tell my story so others are not taken advantage of as well. Where can I post all the ZERO stars."

"To start, in your state you can get ahold of programs that get you free consultations where you can call or meet a lawyer in person. This service is obsolete.
I only used this service because I was in a pinch. It said it was $5 a question but apparently in order to ask the $5 question you need to pay$46 for a membership.
Then, when asking my questions…..he told me that my job was looking to terminate although he has no insight to the situation nor was it relevant to my question. I have since NOT been terminated and was given zero help.
The customer service (supervisors) were rude and determined to keep my $46. They even told me to go ahead to the BBB because it wouldn’t work.
This is a scam. "
