"This company is engaged in false advertising, unethical billing practices and illegal activity.
They advertise that you can get answers from "an ENT doctor" for $5. Then they connect you to a random "doctor". They connected me to a neurologist, not an ENT. This is false advertising and Dr. Chinelo Okoye is complicit and participating in the scam.
She said "I will be happy to help". That was the answer that I paid $5 for. Then she said pay $50 dollars now and you can talk to me on the phone. And she ignored all subsequent messages.
Behind the scenes, they captured and stored my credit card information without notification or consent and covertly sign me up for a $46 dollar monthly subscription, hoping I would not notice.
This is illegal. Any subscriptions must be clearly labeled.
I have screenshots of the process.
This company deceives people and preys on people who are in distress and should be shut down.

"I wanted to cancel a paypal charge and wanted to find out how to do it. I was immediately forwarded to Just Answer. I had trouble before with them and did not want to get involved. I said I did not want to e charged until I could talk to someone. Anyway Igave my cc number and within a few seconds I was charged $66 instead of $2. I tried to get my refund back and was told no. When I insisted on talking to someone else was told I would get a call in 15-20 minutes. Have not heard back. I do not know how they get away with this."

"Fast and easy setup. Vet provided an answer to my question promptly. The initial price was fair. The reason for the 3 stars is I tried cancelling the monthly subscription, but numerous requests were answered with boilerplate "membership subscription policy". I didn't use and didn't want the monthly subscription and feel ripped off for the continued membership plan. Lacking transparency in terms of pricing and canceling the membership is difficult and time-consuming."

"I desperately needed help with my Samsung "smart tv"...since i suffer from chronic illness and am mostly home bound. Couldn't reach tech support, even though their outgoing msg says that Live Chat is available 24/7...it is NOT.
I then reached out to JustAnswer and read that the sign-up fee would be $2 and another fee AFTER speaking with the tech. This seemed very reasonable.
Immediately after giving them my credit card info, I got an alert from MC saying that there was a $66 International charge on my card?! I dropped everything and had to deal with MC. I CANNOT afford bogus charges being on a fixed income. Had to cancel my card, emailed JustAnswer...still no reply and wait for my new card along with waiting 15days to file an investigation into a fraudulent charge giving the merchant time to do "the right thing".
So now I get to deal with: Samsung, JustAnswer and MC on top of my disability issues and prepping for surgery next month!!! My painful life just got more painful because of these scam artists."

"I was told that I could get an answer to a legal question for $5. I agreed and paid it, gladly. Then, I get a call from my debit card fraud prevention department stating that they had charged the $5, and then charged me $60. I immediately cancelled my card, and contacted the company. I had not even been a "member" for 5 minutes and I told them that no where did I see that there would be a $60 membership charge and that I wanted the membership cancelled and the money refunded or released. They agreed after some argument, but when I got the email saying it was cancelled, no where was there anything about a refund. I then called their "Customer care" number where the young lady insisted that they didn't care about anything I said, I was going to be charged either way and they cancelled the membership. That means that they charged me a bulls*$t charge and then refused to refund me AND cancelled the so called membership that I didn't ask for. Terrible company, terrible customer service. "

"NEVER have I cancelled a monthly subscription and not been able to use the service for the remainder of the month I'd already paid for. UNTIL JustAnswer.com. Horrified. I had need of a quick answer, saw the offer for a $1 answer on the website, hit a couple buttons on PayPal and suddenly was charged $55. OK, bad enough, but I figured I didn't read some fine print, I'd take my lumps and cancel. Got the answer I needed (it was helpful) and went to cancel. And they're GONE! WHAT??! I called customer service (after several attempts to find a good number; many of the links on their site don't work) and he told me once you cancel, you cancel. WOW. What a scam. Spread the word to AVOID THIS BUSINESS.

"I paid $2 CAD to post a question, and was hit with a $40 CAD "membership" fee. I cancelled within seconds, but was still charged and several customer service reps denied any refund despite not using their services. A tech responded to my posted question via email after they acknowledged I cancelled and subsequently said I was still on the hook for the charge. "I asked a question about my Microsoft account and repair -just answer popped up to resolve the problem. The asked for $1.00 and $10.00 and I paid using my credit card. Today 07/27/23 I noticed that they hard surreptitiously charged my account of $55.00 claiming I was their member. I told them that I never subscribed to their membership and that they should reinstate my money. They are hesitant to do so claiming they had cancelled my subscription. I have told them that I had never and will never be their member. They are refusing to refund my money. This is outright theft. These fellows need to be prosecuted and they are continuing to steal people's money. The banks continue to give them the opportunity and will not block such payments even when we complain."
