"Mistake. The GE product web page was littered with click bait for JustAnswer with no way to get basic product information as found on other manufacturer sites. Guessing GE might have outsourced its access to tech information on its products. Paying a high fee, then after an hour wait, the 'expert' answer was to text a link to a YouTube (free) video, then ask for more money to actually 'talk'. Canceled the membership immediately, losing the pricey startup fee which notably offers no "satisfaction guarantee for refunds". I would contribute to a class action case against this scam."
"I had the same problem as “K” below. I was told I would be charged $1.00 for a question. I never clicked on the Secure Connection to get an answer. I was then charged $46.00! For nothing! Every time I clicked on the link for Help or Contact Us it went to an error page! I locked my card, and won’t unlock it until I hear from someone that the charge will be dropped! Steer clear of this site!!"

"I had a mechanic question. It said it cost $1 to ask a question no where else does it say where you can see that they charge an extra 30 bucks to your account for a membership you do not ask for. I asked for a refund for this reason and they will not comply. I am not happy! Then when you ask for a refund they are snippy about it and saying it says right on the page that it says it cost a dollar when it definitely did not. I did not have the extra money to pay for a membership I didn't ask for. And their customer service on top of it is terrible. I am one very unhappy person. Definitely makes you feel robbed. "

"PLEASE stay away from JustAnswer! It is a totally unethical company, possibly fraudulent. They prey on people who do not read the fine print and happily charge you $40 or more monthly membership fee until you notice and/or complain. Check out the Better Business Bureau website which includes 100s and 100s of similar complaints about this company. Here is how they rip you off. You try their service just once - they offer an 7 day free trial - but they take your credit card info up front, so after 7 days they automatically start charging you a monthly subscription fee. Unless you carefully review your credit card charges each month you might not notice that you are being charged for a service you didn't even know you had subscribed to. In my case, I was charged $1000 dollars over 2 years - ok, I use my visa card for everything I buy and am not diligent about reviewing the charges at the end of each month. It was only recently that I noticed I had been charged $40 per month over the past 24 months. When I called their customer service they offered to refund only 3 months. This seems to be their business model. Hope that you don't read the fine print and realize that you have a subscription and then charge you until you notice and/or complain. Then if you complain they refund you a month or two even though you may have paid them much more and never even used the service except for the very first time during a free trial. Please don't make the same mistake that I made!"

On the first page of the website, I saw add, for members to review documents for FREE! I texted customer service and they refund $125. The next day I went to court. And they asked me to fix a lot! in my document after the lawyer worked! "

"I saw an offer to get an answer to a question from a lawyer for $5. Good deal, right? I asked, he answered, and when I received my credit card statement I was charged $69, not $5.
I called customer service and had a difficult conversation with a man whose English skills were lacking. There were long pauses after everything I said, like he was running my words through a translator. He said there was nothing he could do except cancel the membership (that I didn't sign up for) but he couldn't reverse the charge. It appears there is no $5 for an answer; it's a bait and switch to charge you $69.
I appreciate the answer by text that I received from the lawyer but it wasn't worth $69."

"I used the chat bot for my question and I was told that it would be $5 to get an answer. The next thing I know, I’m charged an additional $64 for a subscription I did not approve. This is extremely unethical. I can just imagine how much money they’ve made by taking advantage of people like this and a quick look at the other reviews can give you an idea. So save yourself some money and find yourself a service that tells you upfront and honestly how much it will cost you. Beware of this scam. "

"I was under the impression that I would be able to ask a question for a small fee of $5. Once I asked my question, my bank alerted me that there was an additional charge of $47. I called customer service by phone first and I was told I signed up for a monthly membership that I did not authorize and that I was not eligible for a refund. So I then used the live chat to speak to a manager, and I was very rudely DENIED a refund. THEN I was blocked from contacting customer service. Every time I click on contact us it takes me to a broken page. I am BEYOND frustrated as this was not a charge I AUTHORIZED. I am now filing a dispute and I am contacting the BBB, along with a nice chat with my attorney. A bunch of THIEVES. Also, I've seen the responses you guys are giving everyone below..."contact us and we will resolve your issue"...no you won't. Stop trying to act like you're going to help these people after you've already stolen money from them."
