"I recieved a lab book from the pits of creepy lost never needs to be found again book. It was missing some pages and high lighted pages like a sharpie convention back from the seventies. Anyways at my local bookstore this lab book was listed 212.00 plus tax at Knetbooks it under 30.00 for the rental! Do we not see the ridiculousness of inflation at its best here. I want to praise Knetbook to all the textbook gods to let them know that the Knetbook team are sent angels to protect us from textbook gougers. "I rented a textbook from this company. It came with significant water damage. The previous renters invoice, papers, and a used star bucks gift card inside. The book was usable so I used it. I have now been charged for the damage to the book that was present when I received it. When contacting customer service I was disconnect through chat and told they could do nothing for me. When I called customer service they said the same thing. I was apparently supposed to report damage to the book when received, however nothing in the invoice said this. Apparently, it is not the rental companies responsibility to review the books they are sending out or receiving. After reviewing multiple other reviews I am convinced this company is a scam. I will be contacting my credit company to dispute the charges. I will also be contacting the better business bureau to report this scam of a company. Do not do business with this company. I have been renting textbooks for many years from other sites with no issue. I have no problem paying for damage I am responsible for, but that is not the case."

"I highly recommend that no one use this company. I take 9 hours of school at my community college, wile managing a coffee shop where I work 5 days a week, 8 hours a day. I forgot when my due date was, and never was reminded. The day before Christmas $150+ Was taken out of my account without warning or an email. I had just moved in to my apartment and paid rent and had I not checked my account it would have bounced because of the 150 dollars they took out. They refuse to work with me and refund my money. There are a lot more ethical companies that don't take advantage of busy college students "

"Knetbooks will not give me a refund for two late books. They also took almost $300 out of my bank account. I alerted them that I will get the books back to them but I have to wait on shipping. awful customer service- wouldn't budge an inch.
UPDATE: Knetbooks has sent me an email saying they will refund the money I was charged and pay for the shipping of the books. They also urged me to send them back as soon as possible, which I will. However, I am sad that it took me writing three internet reviews and tweeting at them multiple times to get this issue resolved. I appreciate their help and understanding now, though, and hope they will take steps to make this process easier in the future!"
