"Beware: I ordered an AC adopter for my laptop from this company, I was sent the wrong item and called to return it, I received a RMA# and immediately sent it back, I waited over a month to get credit but it never happened, so I called and they claimed that they never got it, so I called my credit card company to dispute it, but I am having a hard time, because I sent it regular mail, and not certified, they exploited this fact, and took advantage of me, so to warn others I am posting this, its clear you can not trust this company, they will rob you if given the chance.

"I purchased an adapter for my MacBook and requested FedEx 2nd day. Turns out that the order was canceled because the shipping and billing addresses were different (part of their fraud policy). This policy was not stated on the website, and I did not receive the email that customer service said they sent out when I called them 6 days later. The customer service people put me on hold for 15 minutes, were very rude and condescending, and could not offer any way to fix this problem. When I proposed that I could place a new order, but that I thought upgrading my shipping to FedEx 2nd day for free would be a reasonable compensation for the inconvenience and failure to contact me on their part, the customer service agent refused and was quite rude.
I would not advise anyone to buy anything from this website, and sincerely hope that this company adjusts its customer service attitude. They don't seem to realize that alienating customers by not taking responsibility for their mistakes, and by being rude and unhelpful is not a good policy. "

"One for two. Thats a 50% success rate. I ordered two items and received a "Item Shipped" confirmation two days later. I received the package with only one of my two items delivered. Called the store and they sorry but it looks like your other item is on back order. The item shows as in stock online. I asked for a credit immediately, as i don't want to play the "Back Order" game.
I had ordered from this site in the past, thus the re-order, but won't again - they lost me. And the reason they lost is the lack of communication, no email or any notification that i wasn't going to get my laptop battery.

"I ordered a battery for my Gateway laptop. The battery arrived less than a week after ordering and well wrapped. The battery worked right away and has since died. I believe that I really needed a new charger. Well, I guess I;ll have to buy that next. Thanks for the great C/S. Jerry Hatley"

I placed this order on 29 aug 2008 @ 8 in the morning (eastern time). I checked the tracking throuh their website and "supposedly" the shipping data was transmitted to fedex indicating the pkg was shipped. 3 weeks later, the shipping data has not changed, nothing shipped.
I have used laptopsforless online contact, I contacted them at 1 week, both cust svc and online orders. No response, contacted twice the second week and week three used the contact info to direct my concerns to every available dept. I ALSO EMAILED, ALL CONTACT WAS IGNORED. I will now do a chargeback and have the email as proof
I gave them advance warning.
On their website they claimed the item as instock (still do) and their shipping policy on their website is "Most of the items we carry are in stock and will ship on the same day you place your order (if the order is placed before 2:30PM PST) or on the next business day (if the order is placed after 2:30PM PST). Orders placed on Saturday and Sunday will be shipped on the next business day (usually Monday unless there is a holiday).""In rare cases when the item you've ordered will not be in stock (this is called a backorder), our system will automatically notify you if this is the case and ask you if you still wish to place the order. If you decide to place the order, you will then be notified by e-mail as to the exact delivery date. We will ship the item to you as soon as it is available. If you've placed an order for several items and not all of them are in stock, you can choose the "Ship Complete" option to ship everything together (thereby reducing the freight costs) once the backordered item is available.". These policies are misleadng and constitute fraud as they in fact do none of these things.
I am submitting further complaints and as I have an attorney on retainer may see about punitive damages.

"This was a poor experience. I ordered a replacement keyboard for a Toshiba laptop, which Laptops for Less (supposedly) had in stock at a good price and I even found a coupon for free shipping. I placed the order online and paid with a credit card. I received an order confirmation email quickly, a shipping confirm (complete with a Fedex tracking #) a few days later. So far so good.
The expected delivery date came and went, and no keyboard. I checked the Fedex site, and the delivery date was no longer there. In fact, it stated that although shipping information had been transmitted to them by Laptops for Less, no package was received.
I called the company, and the rep told me that they never had the item in stock, that they had to search around for one, and that it would be drop shipped from the vendor. No search for the item had been made. They did, however, see it fit to put the charge through to my card. The rep told me that they would search for the item that day, and upgrade me to 2nd day shipping at no additional charge.
I called back the next day. A different rep told me that the item was never ordered. I asked that she cancel my order and put a credit through to my card. "I can cancel the order, but I can't issue a credit." Are you serious????? She told me that she'd need "special permission" to do so, and that if it were allowed, it would take a few days. Right.
I called American Express, and they issued me a credit and will be sending Laptops for Less a chargeback. Thankfully, I had the final shield of protection here.
The moral of the story is: don't order from these people because you are taking a chance doing so. Had they been truthful about not having the item, I wouldn't have ordered from them. Had the item indeed been in stock, it would likely have been sent. But this company operates - at best - on the fringes of ethics, and their tactics may lead to your disappointment, frustration, and/or lost money.

"Buyer Beware. I purchase a projection lamp for my Sony television from Laptops For Less. I bought the lamp as a back for the one in my TV. I used the lamp for a month and it blew. The item was obviously defective. When I called to have the item replaced the both the manager and salesperson were rude. They kept telling me about their warranty. I basically said the manager that they are selling defective or low grade items that last usually about 3 months and that I would never buy from them again. This company is a disgrace. The lamp they sold me should have lasted at least a year. It lasted only one month. After reading the post about this company I realize that the company ripped off a bunch of people before me."

Spent 2 months dealing with this company and I still have nop product and no money.
Ordered replacement bulb for projection TV. Firdt bulb arrives and does not fit properly at all, plus it is wrong rating and doesn't even work. Got RMA and returned at my own expense!!
Second bulb received was COMPLETELY WRONG PART! Not even in the ballpark.
Got yet another RMA. Fulfilled my end of the bargain by repackaging and making bulb available for pickup. They said they would go ahead and ship my replacement out that day.
1.5 weeks go by without a new bulb or a single word from them. So I decided to call them myself. Wast told that the part was DISCONTINUED!!!
Not a single word from them and NO ATTEMPT to contact me or return my money! To top it off, the rep that spoke to me LIED and told me that a refund request had been put in 1.5 weeks ago. After escalating to her supervisor, I finally uncovered that there was in fact no such thing done and my refund request was put in TODAY!
So - 2 bad parts, 2 months worth of headaches and being without my TV, very poor communication and blatant lies. NOT a good experience!"
