Strange shipping pattern and rebate process

"Contacts finally arrived. I am pleased with the actual product the rest of it is for the birds. I live in Ohio. They went from MO to KY to GA and back to OH. Makes not sense. Also, I do not understand the rebate process. Why do I have to wait 14 days to claim my rebate? Is it a strategy to see how many people will forget about it so they don't have to pay it out? Why not make it an instant thing? It would be so much better if you did not have to wait and jump through so many hoops. Ugh. "

Rebate

"The lenses arrived without any problems and are perfect.
I did order with a plan of a rebate but when they arrived there were no instructions on how to claim your rebate. I called the 1 800 number and was given instructions which are a little cumbersome. Need to request by mail 14 days after receiving them. I am curious to see how long it takes to get the rebate. They don’t make it easy.

Shipping Not Optimal

"Ordering and the price was perfect and beat the competition by quite a bit!
But the shipping methodology was not optimal. I never could pin down the date of arrival. I was leaving for Africa and needed the lens immediately.
I panicked and customer support could not give any more information because of the way the shipping is done. So use lens.com if you don't care about arrival time.

Excellent Customer Service

"This is my first time using Lens.com. I made a mistake in providing my prescription. Unaware of my mistake I opened the box of lenses, and realized my mistake when I put in a pair of the lenses I'd received. Despite the mistake being on me, Lens.com took back the wrong lenses and replaced them with the correct lenses. The agent was friendly, efficient, and I was stunned at how graciously they made good what was my mistake."

Not brand name contacts

"The lenses I received for my right eye were Biofinity but the lenses I received for my left eye were comfilcon A. I ordered and paid for Biofinty and although I understand comfilcon A is the material the lenses are made of, I expected them all to have a Biofinity label. I have yet to submit my rebate, I hope that goes smoothly."

Tired of the Rebate Game

"Tired of the Rebate Game Lens plays with customers. A price is quoted with the rebate, but good luck trying to collect! I have been buying lens from them for over a year now and have been able to collect on my rebates only 50% of the time. They don’t make it easy and often your rebate just disappears! Then it is not ray yo use the card they send. Lens, just give us the discount and stop with this rebate game. You will be losing me as a customer if it does not change. It is deceptive!"

"Very easy to order. I’ve used lens.com for years. My only complaint is I absolutely hate the rebate process. It is very difficult and takes months. I could understand if it comes from the manufacture but it appears to be all in-house. The rebate gimmick ****. I would rather have less discount up front… Just my 2 cents."

A dispicable scam to charge the full amount without the discount and keep your money for months before the rebate

"I have been charged double the amount of what the product was supposed to cost, and I feel both baffled, disappointed, violated and angry. It was not in any way made clear that the discounted price (which was confirmed all the way to the end where I made the payment) was only after a rebate, which has to be mailed in for and can't even be done until 14 days after shipping, AND will then take "up to 10 weeks" to process only to be given back in the shape of a prepaid visa card.

The whole thing really does not sit right with me. This is an outright deception scam - I've essentially been tricked into lending lens.com my money for several months and this is outrageous. I am sure I am by far the first one to be absolutely appalled by this. It's just not ok.

Don't buy from Lens.com. I certainly never will again.
