"Terrible experience. I ordered a Herman Miller Aaron Chair. First they forgot to ship me the Lumber Support. Had to call and they sent it couple days later. But the worst part was that the chair was defected. The base was not even so the chair tilts. I tried to put up with it but realized that it is too much, so I called them and they said that they will pay for the shipping and arrange for pick up, but I had no box, and asked them if I can just put it in the box when they ship me a new chair, and they refused. I do understand that some items might be defected, and I should have held on to the box(But where was I supposed to keep that huge box in our small office, and I did think that I can put up with the defect), but they didn't make any effort to make it easier on me. I work in downtown DC and there is no HomeDepot or Office Depot around, and I take the metro to work, so I can't just buy it somewhere else and bring it with me. It was just too much inconvenience that made the whole experience a negative one. Wish they were more understanding. "

I am surprised that they are still in business in this country.
I tried several times to contact them to get information about my order. They kept telling me that the item was shipped but nothing arrived.
Today I received an email that the item is shipped and I should track the item with the company Mid Atlantic MVG & Dist.
There was no web site link where to track the item.
I called MAdison Seating and asked them for a link. They said I should get it from the GOOGLE. However, there exists no website for this delivery company. I called Madison people back again.
This time they gave me a tel number but nobody answered..
You can imagine my frustration.
This company MADISON SEATING should be closed down. They are simply unprofessional and terrible company. PLEASE AVOID them...
Please spread out the word. These people have no place in this country to operate.

"I am writing this hoping to save someone the hassle of dealing with Madison Seating. I plan to write reviews (bad ones) on every page I can find to accomplish my goal. I ordered dinette furniture from this company. The instructions plainly stated "do not sign for delivery until merchandise is inspected". The delivery company does not allow opening the packaging until signing for it. Being caught between 2 company policies, I refused delivery. Now they want to bill me for the dinette set, the delivery & return and restocking fee (note: I do not have the furniture). THis is a crooked business and should be shut down. I complained on their Facebook page and they "blocked" me they haven't seen or heard the last of me yet. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY........YOU WILL REGRET IT."

"I received an e-mail telling me that the chair had shipped when I did not receive it I then called the company. The customer service rep who answered the phone was very rude and told me that the chair had not shipped they were not willing to give any discount on shipping and I felt if the chair had not shipped I should have received a call to let me know that and I cancelled the order and will never do business with them. "Chair shipped after 10 day guarantee. When it arrived there were no instructions to assemble it. Purchased Herman Miller Aeron and the bottom cover assembly was off and will not stay closed when tried to cover gear assembly. Contacted customer support and inspite of me asking in several emails for help with what I considered a defective chair was given the response "our chairs are open box specials and as such contain minor marks and scuffs". When I ordered the chair I specifically asked if it was new and the clerk said yes. I have a defective chair and Madison is unwilling to provide an RMA and pay for shipping back to their facilities. Do not do business with this company!"
"A number of bad reviews exist about all kinds of things, so that is the reason I'm adding my 2-cents.
Order was placed for Aeron chair. 10 minutes later I received a call from customer service indicating the chair I ordered was out of stock and it was suggested I change my order to something that was in stock. No charge for order change.
E-mail received one business day later with shipping info.
Chair received one week later in excellent condition. Yes, chair is shipped in 2 pieces but big deal. Tool required to attach back to base is included.
