"Great store. I buy for my clients from here and they give me excellent service. They advise me on my decisions if I've made a dumb choice, and I can ask them to modify my orders easily. I choose the fastest, longest lasting components for each build, from the case to the CPU, and MM helps me do it. Good warranty, toll free phone number to an American. They even burn it in for me. Sweet."
"I have had nothing but success with MagicMicros product as well as customer service. I would recommend them to anyone. I love my new PC!"
"They had an issue with the original motherboard that I ordered, but made good by replacing with a better one and threw in some RAM also because of the reason for ordering the first one. This was better than I had expected but am thankful and will recommend them to any of my friends."
"Every thing was exactly as I ordered.....and I never needed to talk to a person.
the system worked as it should.
thanks,"
"I ordered a new bare-bones system, minus a hard drive and dvd rom. The shipping was fast. But, upon receipt of the pc, I was installing my hard drive and dvd rom and noticed the void sticker on the psu had been torn. Lead me to believe that the psu was NOT new. Then I try and turn it on and nothing....I look inside for a disconnected wire from shipping, but they were all in place. I called their tech. support for 2 hours and could not get through. So, I called their customer service and was greeted well, and then turned over to tech. support where.....I was directed to there answering machine AGAIN..lol After trying to contact their tech support till their closing hours, I figured out that the assembler put the power lead from the button to the mother board on wrong and the pc came to life. Which also lead me to believe that the 30$ for assembly and TESTING was a joke. I would have been happier to get all the stuff shipped to me in the box, and let me put it together. At least then I would have known that I received new stuff and if the power did not come on I was to blame. I would probably buy from them again because of price, but I would not have them assemble anything. I would just buy parts and put it together myself.
Well, after my disappointment with the "assembly and testing" of my pc. I was called today by a rep., just to be argued with for 30 minuets on whether or not a void sticker on my power supply could be torn by installation or shipping. When I first received the call I was expecting to get an apology for anything, but instead I was argued with for a half hour, maybe more like fifteen minuets. But anyway, like I told the guy on the phone I have bought and installed and shipped PSU's and NONE of them have ever had a torn void sticker UNLESS it was a refurbished unit. So I am lowering my over all star rating down to 2 for having to deal with a argument instead of a "customer is always right" attitude. You can take your chances with this company, but I would STILL not have them assemble anything, buy your parts but that is it. And remember, they are cheep parts for a reason. You get what you pay for folks. That is why I have no intention of trying to get them to give me a new power supply or anything, because I knew from the start that cheep means cheep, and I would have to deal with anything from that. Its not the company's fault you bought cheep, so don't hold it against them. "
"I had some frustration with Magic Micro but it was largely my fault / the result of using a bargain system that required some work on my end. Customer service was very patient and got my system working. Overall recommended."
"MagicMicro sold me a very nice computer and then worked very hard after the sale to make sure I could use it. I contacted them several times through EBay and got helpful responses each time. The final assistance came when I needed Windows XP service packs both 2 and 3 in order to start using the new system. MagicMicro sent me both service packs on a disk by mail and installing them went smoothly and the rest is history! I'm very pleased with the product and the service I received. Thanks."
"Nice prices, poor customer service. They delayed my shipping while waiting on the processor and ended up just giving me a cheaper processor than the one I had ordered. Everything arrived intact after a month, but I probably wouldn't buy from them again"
“Dear Customer
We apologize for accidently delivering a wrong item.
When we received order for a system with AMD 1100T six core processor this processor was on a back order because it is been discontinued by AMD. Not knowing how long it would take to receive six core processors we offered free upgrade to new AMD FX 8120 eight core CPU.
Customer declined a free upgrade offer but because of internal error system was shipped with upgraded CPU anyway. This was unintentional human error and we can correct it by replacing FX 8120 processor with 1100T or we can make some other arrangements to take care of the issue.
Please call our email our office at your earliest convenience so we take care of this problem ASAP.
Thank you

"I had a problem with my computer that I called Magic Micro and had an RA so I can send it back to be fixed. I worked with a rep name Ed Kuchta. I love this company, he was very responsive but not overbearing and gave me all the info I needed and walked me through all the process. Thanks Ed, ask for a raise."
"It has been over 3 years since MagicMicro built my computer and I have been very pleased with it. It was the second computer I purchased from them. This month I had been suffering from a very complicated Microsoft problem with my home network and couldn't get a printer to work from a remote machine. I am an Engineer with a computer science degree and over the course of 2 weeks I spent about 12 hours trying to solve the problem with Microsoft Help and about 1 hour with technicians in India. Out of frustration I phoned up MagicMicro and the very knowledgeable technician was able to fix my problem in about 10 minutes. Even if their prices were higher they are well worth purchasing from just because of the knowledge of their sales and technical staff. "
"I've been involved with computer gaming sense the early 1990's and have always had problems finding a company that could help me with deciding what is the best computer for my application and at the right price, plus not fill it up with a bunch useless applications. Magic Micro is that company!
First of all, the two times I called in to inquire about there product, I was connected to a sales person without having to leave a message and was able to talk with them at length to get all my questions answered. Then the third time calling in to order my computer, they stayed on the phone while I ordered my computer to make sure everything was correct.
I received my computer within the correct time frame. The computer was well packed and came with everything correct from what was originally ordered. Set up was smooth and as I said before, the computer was not loaded up with a bunch of useless software.
I've been using the computer now for three weeks and have not had any problems with it. Performs better then expected and I'm very happy with there setup of the system. I will use Magic Micro when I order my next computer and will recommend them to all my friends.
James"
"I ordered a computer from magic micro and recently wanted to update my computers ram and cooling fans. The ram I ordered but decided because of poor customer service not to follow up on the case fans I needed. Do not depend on good customer service here. Once you buy, you are on your own. In defense of magic nevertheless, you do not really have any ground to complain about cheap cases , noisy fans etc. They will give you any case or any fan you ask for. If you only want to pay for a cheap economy case to save money than you'll get one. Overall, if there were better customer service magic would be a really good company. I was thinking of buying another computer, but my thoughts are reserved for companies that aim higher at customer relations. "
“Dear David
It came to my attention that you were in communication with our sales department regarding some upgrades for your current system. As I understand there was some sort of miscommunication and some of your questions were not answered. For that I apologize.
I looked over your communication with our sales staff and it looks like you had been emailing with them for couple of days where they answered your questions about memory but missed last question about the fan. It looks like all previous emails were only about memory so you final question about case fans may got overlooked. I think this was just a human error. I see no reason for a person to reply to one part of email but ignore the last simple question.
I apologize for any inconvenience and I assure you that we noted you complaint and we try to make sure that this won’t happen again. I hope you understand that this was unintentional human error and we had no intension to ignore or turn way your business. You been our customer for over a year and I wish we can regain your confidence
If there is anything we can do to improve you satisfaction please let me know.
Thank you
Max

"Just purchased memory DDR from Leo. Wow great price, Great Memory, ordered it on Friday, and received it this afternoon.
Thank you Leo and your doing a great job over there in El Monte, CA "
"If you're looking for a quality computer with great customer service and support, do not use this company.I needed to have a custom computer built for an IP camera surveillance system. After consulting with customer service at length, I assumed all my needs would be met.
When I received the item ,I inspected the packaging which was impressive; That's where it ended. I booted up the system and noticed the fans were extremely noisy. That being said I decided to move on and proceed to install the GV1240a card to run the cameras. The cable from the power supply was so taut that I could not plug the card into the slot. The rest of the cable was jammed under the power supply, so in order to release the cable I would have had to disconnect the power box. That was not the end of it!
The power cable for the GV card was under the HD rack, impossible to pull out, and it had nothing to do with wire wraps.
The case was cheaply made with punch-out card slots like a electrical panel. I guess $1,100. Wasn't enough for a better case. I made a determination to return this quality product to magic micro. I shipped it in it's original packaging with insurance to cover any damage via FedEx. The cost of shipping: $14.00.
Magic micro decided in their infinite wisdom to credit me the cost of the item minus $40.00. Thank goodness for credit cards as I have disputed this charge.
I'm sure that magic micro will respond but I Would take little credence in what they have to say, they must advocate their company.
If you really are serious about getting a great product with excellent support, do not buy from this company.
Update: 12/7/11, As I stated earlier, I knew they would respond. Believe me when I tell you, their quality is garbage. Their staff must be incompetent if they think they sell a good product.
As far as the wiring they refer to, I specifically explained to them how I wanted the wiring to be routed for my card. Maybe they need basic training.
Let's talk about the case again. The particular model they sold me for the money was a cheap case.
Please take the time to shop on line. There are excellent companies out there that will provide you with a quality product as I have found out. As for the $35.00 they're talking about, that's about what that computer was worth!"
“Unfortunately this is one of the classic examples when customer is trying to use online review to extort none refundable charges that he agreed to pay earlier. This dispute is not about Magic Micro service or product quality but it is about $35 none refundable shipping charge.
Form business point of view it is logical not to fight over small shipping fee to avoid bad publicity but in age of internet’s Wild West when people can say whatever they want and not been accounted for somebody must stand and defend his reputation.
Here is our side of this situation. We are custom systems integrates. All our systems are made to order. Customers can go to our website, select any component and we build system according to selected specifications.
In his review customer complained about fan noise. The noise came from high performance hard drive cooling fans which were ordered by the customers. We do offer finless coolers but that was not what customer ordered.
About “cheap” case: Customer complains that for $1100 we could give him a better case. Yes we do have more expensive cases but it would not be what customer ordered. BTW customer ordered Thermaltake V3 case. It is not cheap case. This sase gets 4.5 out of 5 ratings in all online review (anybody can Google this case model) and Thermaltake is one of the best case makers.
Now about a wiring: All our systems are professionally assembled and wired. Anybody who ever assembled custom system knows that aftermarket power supply has many unused cables. Those cables must be bundled and put away otherwise they abstract the air flow, get inside system fans or simply damage internal components during shipping. Customer received system with all wires professionally secured away from fans and heat sinks. We have no problems for our customers making upgrades or any other modifications to a system. However, when customers decide to make those modifications we expect them to have some basic PC assembly skills or ask professional to do work for them. We believe that this basic principle should apply to any equipment including PCs.
Now about refund: We have 30 days return policy. If customers are not satisfied with received product they can always return it for refund or replacement. Due to the nature of custom system building we had to adopt 15% restocking fee policy for none defective systems simply because all system made to exact customer’s specifications and can’t be resold to other customer even as open box .
Trying to keep customer happy we waved restocking fee and only withheld $35 original shipping and handling charge. Obviously this was not enough.
Thank you
Magic Micro Computers”
"My 8 year old Dell was slowly beginning to show signs of impending doom (constant BSOD, broken SATA connections on the motherboard, an ungodly collection of dust all up inside the computer) so I started looking for a new computer.
I wanted something that could play today's games, had overclock potential and was cheap. Initially considered going with cyberpowerpc but that company's QC seemed to be very shady and unreliable...tons of negative reviews regarding their hastily put together computers...plus they charge $75 for shipping when other sites like Tigerdirect and MagicMicro charge around $25. As for the price comparison between MM and a site like cyberpowerpc, they seem to be pretty comparable with MagicMicro being slightly cheaper for the same components.
I ordered my computer without a dvd drive or a video card because I already had those items and didn't need to spend the money...absolutely no problem! Computer arrived 6 days after I placed my order and everything works fine. Parts are securely installed, cables were nicely tied (although I was kind of flummoxed at the way they tied up some power cables that I needed to pull out for installing my dvd drive and 2nd hard drive). Despite being 8 yrs ahead in technology to my old Dell it runs 20degrees Celsius cooler, and is much much quieter.
Fast, high value, and dependable. Recommended to my friends, would use again."
A rep from MagicMicro, MaxPikovskiy, has responded:
“Dear Customer
We apologize for any inconvenience. We believe this was some sort of miscommunication. When we called yesterday we simply tried to reassure you that all system parts are brand new and are not refurbished. The power supply sticker may got damaged during installation or shipping but as we mentioned in our phone conversation it does not void PSU warranty and it still be covered under 1 year systems warranty . We also offered to replace PSU with new unit but customer respectfully declined.
One again we apologize for any miscommunications. If you change your mind and want us to replace a PSU please call our customer service line at 1-800-964-2761 and we’ll be happy to assist you,
Thank you
