"Our Cidery bought the Cal Air 5510SE compressor. So quiet! Worked so well! And then, it started running constantly and would not come up to pressure. Called Tech and they said the teflon piston gaskets were probably worn and I needed to replace them. I took the head off and piston plate off. It was easy. I'm thinking what a great design! I went to order these two teflon stamped out compressor rings and had sticker shock. $28.75 each. What? Are you kidding? I almost told every one it is a throw away compressor since it cost $129.00 and parts are outrageous. But, that is not what our Cidery is about. So...I put them in the cart and went to shipping. $17.75 to ship two simple rings that would ship in a envelope!! What? Are you kidding??? $74.00 to put two simple rings to get the compressor going. We were so impressed at the beginning that our company was thinking of a couple of the larger 5 hp compressors. But... at cost of repairs. Probably not. I did order the parts. It so simple that I couldn't just junk it."
“Thank you for your feedback, we certainly appreciate it and take it seriously. Some parts are more expensive than you'd imagine, yes, but that is set by the manufacturer, not by us. Our cost for CA Air Tools parts are already set high by the manufacturer, and we have to make some profit on them. Unfortunately, this means that some of these parts are just downright expensive. We wish it weren't so, but this is the fact. Secondly, we can only ship these piston rings by FedEx because they were constantly getting damaged when we shipped them by First Class Mail, due to the packaging not being up to snuff compared to the FedEx boxes we use. Again, thank you for your understanding and for your order!”

Once we get moved into our new facilities, we'll be shipping with USPS again, which will give customers the option of a much cheaper shipping method, so this is just temporary. If I could have found the part elsewhere I would have. Poor security to say the least. Would like my info deleted after the transaction. Don’t trust your site!

Of course, all websites have sporadic problems and this seems to be the case here, unfortunately. We test our website daily, and all is working well and as expected.
