"I would have to say this is one of the worst places that I have ever..EVER purchased in. I ordered a product that did not work. Then when I sent it back to them they had the nerve to not even contact me or ask me for any information until I notified them. I followed all of their directions opening a RMA# and putting in my order number etc. It has been 2 months since the order/return date and I have not received my refund. Do not order from here they take about Two weeks to answer emails with their 5 words sentences. The last email I sent them was a notification that I will contact consumer affairs and my credit card money to force the refund, basically filling a complaint about their services. They have not responded to that email since and its been two weeks. I gave them a grace period to be nice because July 4th was near and still no response. Horrible company just horrible"

"I'm extremely satisfied with both the service and product... My only beef I had was in the beginning as I didn't realize the demand was so high and my order was put on backorder. I didn't realize this and paid for 2 day shipping... Long story short the company agreed to credit the shipping. NOW THAT IS SERVICE as they understood it wasn't my fault and fixed it right away. I will tell everyone how GREAT the MODCHIPSTORE is and I will be buying from them again down the road... 10 out of 10"

"Just got my Wiikey And my M3DS with 2 gbmicro about 5 minutes ago, They came in perfect condition. these were actually 2 orders i did a day after the other, and they arrived together. Shipped 2 days after order was placed and got my tracking number also. The order took a couple more days than expected but thats really okay since im overall very happy with this company. only complaint was the M3 box was a little banged up (everything was good inside) but thats the shippers fault. Would recommend this store to anyone."

"Excellent company to buy from. Answers emails in a very timely manner and is VERY EASY to communicate with. Any questions and concerns I had about my order were answered within a business day. My order was shipped Thursday evening, arrived Friday afternoon in Canada. Staff was VERY accomodating when I changed my order and refunded my card immediately, no questions asked.

Other online modchip vendors should take some hints from these guys, will definitely buy from modchipstore.com again!

"I did a preorder on a Cyclo Evolution on June 8, 2007. Their policy states that

"The product you have ordered is currently unavailable at any of our shipping locations, this is due to it being a pre-order item in which you are putting yourself on a waiting list for the item when it is ready to ship.. This is usually done on popular items on a first-come, first-served basis. Once you place the "Pre-Order"you are reserving your "spot" in line for that particular item."

Website claims to have it in stock around June 11, 2007. So I wait. Then comes June 11 and to my surprise nothing happened. I thought no problem maybe it takes a while or something might be wrong with my cc or it could have been that I was to far in this so called "queue" line.

I check back to the teamcyclos website, and I read people have gotten their Evolution and they ordered it on the day it came in.

So I think to myself what is the problem now? I send an email to them asking what is the problem. Their answer:

"i will ship this out immediately, i am very sorry
Let us know if you have any other questions we can help you with."

Okay! It will be shipped soon! I look at my bank statement and they charge me for the item. No problem take it as it will be shipped today! I look up my order info and see that my status has been changed to "Processed". However my shipment date is still the same.

Estimated Shipping Date*: Monday, June 11, 2007 7:30 PM EST

Meh, so they charge me and not bothered to update the estimated shipping date? Oh well it will ship "immediately". No problem.

Or so I thought again.... Next day my order is still listed as "Processed". So I wait again maybe it takes 24 hours for the website to update itself. But no go. So I send another email to them again asking what happened.

I wait another 24 or so, then I finally get an answer.

"your cyclo evois shipping today, I am very sorry for the delays. we temporarily ran out of stock due to chip issues on a bad batch. the new wiikey have arrived and are shipping."

Okay shipping today! And as a bonus WIIKEY has arrived! Joys! WIIKEY!

But my Ace Attorney had something else to say...

So, now I am still waiting for my order. This has become a real hassle. I will admit their shipping price is pretty good. And if they have the item in stock you should be okay. However do not preorder or you run the risk of them forgetting your order.

"Very fraudulent company. I ordered a wiikey on 6/4/07. The status of my order was still categorized as "Processed" two days after. I was curious why it wasn't shipped yet. I suspected that the item was not in stock and they purposely did not tell me. Their policy states that they will not charge cards if items were not in stock. Finally after submitting two problem tickets, they admitted that the item was not in stock. It was already 6/11/07. I cancelled my order. Stay away from them. Go to otbmods.com intstead. Veeeeeerry dissatified!!! "

"Overall, I'm impressed with the online support of this store. There was a quality issue with the item I purchased, so they held my order until a new shipment arrived. "Horrible service. Paid for next day shipping, yet did not recieve it until a week and half later. The worst is that I find out from their shipping label they are across the metroplex from me. So, I install my chip only to find it doesn't work. After a week of emails, finally get an RMA. Ship it back and I get no response from them. Keep in mind I know it only takes one day for shipments across the metroplex. Finally after more emails, they say they have processed my order. That was last week. Still have no chip, and they have not answered my emails since asking for a tracking number. Will now have to cancel my credit card charge. MAJOR HASSLE, AVOID AT ALL COST. It's been over a month and I have nothing to show for it."

"I made an order on this site on Saturday June 2, 2007. I chose to pay a little extra and got the DHL 2 business day shipping. Well when I ordered, the items Availability In Stock - Ships Within 24hrs. So I assumed that it should ship out the following Monday as stated in the order status page. I have waited until Wensday for the order to come but it never did. I contacted modchipstore.com to check on the status of my order. Well I received a reply from Jarrett stating that they received a bad batch of the item that I ordered. They also noted that their support staff were on a short vacation. Well for starters, if they had a "bad" batch like they have said they had, why did they not change the availability to NOT IN STOCK. Also, what kind of business is this if they let their "whole" support staff go on vacation. Who is actually running this site in the mean time? And after numerous of attemps to cancel my order with no results, I contacted my credit card company to dispute this transaction and filed for a chargeback. I will never again buy from this company again and I have learned that, never order from a company that has no contact phone number, but a "live" support which were always offline."

"This place is nothing short of horrible. They claim "same day shipping" but they are definitely full of it. After 6 days of trying to contact them, I finally get in touch. They ignored the previous emails and my open ticket. They claimed to be out of stock temporarily and failed to notify me or respond with that tidbit of information to my multiple emails. Finally they cancelled my order, lets hope I get the refund without having to contact them again. I would stay VERY clear of this place. It's a pathetic excuse for a business."

"Well its 5 of july and I just posted my second ticket on their website as my first one was closed without even an awnser. Its been 10 days since the stated shipping date and I have yet to receive a package, the company does not even send a reply or contact me in any way for the exeption of the automated ticket reply. Im really startint to feel cheated of my time waiting for this product from their website. And I belive that I will dispute the charge soon if no action is taken by the company to inform me whats happening with my order."

Notes:
Although the support is VERY poor when it comes to response time (at least that's how I experienced it) , when they DO contact, things get solved pretty nice.

I'm Neutral in the end because this is a double sided blade.

It's VERY slow, but when they finally sent out my shipment, I received it very fast (Though that's part of DHL's business :P).

The only bad comment I have aside from the slow responsiveness, is that there was a dent in the 2 boxes, though the content was perfectly fine :P

"I placed an order on Thursday, 5/31/2007 for product that indicated it was in stock and ships within 24 hours and well before the 7:30pm EST cutoff date. I paid for DHL Overnight service as I wanted this for the weekend and the web site clearly states SAME DAY SHIPPING.

On Friday, 6/1/2007 @ 6:30am I checked the status of the order and found that the estimated delivery was Saturday, 6/2/2007. I opened trouble ticket confirming that the product had actually shipped out on Thursday night but never received a reply. Later that afternoon, after it was clear that the product would not arrive I checked the status and found that the estimated ship date had been changed from 6/2/2007 to 6/1/2007.

I followed up my initial ticket with a request that if the product could not be delivered by Saturday to cancel the order. It's now 6/4/2007 - I have not received a reply from my trouble tickets nor has the purchase been refunded nor has it been delivered. I'm now going to contact my credit card company and dispute the charge.

AVOID this company at all costs. This is the one case where I didn't properly research the reseller before making a purchase. Don't make the same mistake I did.


UPDATE 6/5 - Yesterday I opened another trouble ticket to again request that the order was cancelled else I would dispute the charges. 3 hours later a received a shipment notification from DHL indicating that it would be sent out today. Once this company gets their hands on your money don't expect ANYTHING from them.

Update 6/6/2007: I received the package at around 3:00pm yesterday. At 4 I received a message from 'jarret':
"I am very sorry for the length of time it has taken to respond. I have been out of town and have been unable to help our customers with requests. Our shipper mistakingly shipped this item to you after your request for cancellation. I would be more than happy to issue an RMA for full refund. Please let me know what you woul dlike to do.
jarrett"

That was followed up by two replies from the trouble tickets originally submitted previously. I elected to keep the product and installed it last night without problems. I won't, however, be purchasing from them again. Ya know the thing is - I didn't really care that the product was delayed. If they actually had someone take the time to respond to customer requests, they wouldn't have so many negative ratings.
