"Was able to order a quantity of 15 of an item. Within a day was informed by email that only 4 of the items were available. The order was adjusted but when I received the only order confirmation it showed 1 item being shipped. I responded by email to cancel and ordered from another vendor. Reply email stated that 4 had previously shipped (but I did not receive an email notification). Was told that an additional 1 had also shipped that day. Now I have 20 items total because I had already reordered. They shipped two boxes Fedex(free) which for this item meant they lost money. Ordering system needs to be updated and Customer Service needs improvement. I think they have a good product line and pricing but it's unlikely I'll order online without trying to confirm by phone as to qty on hand."

sent the whole thing back after it went completely dead.
its been sitting in the monarch repair "queue" for the last two weeks while the try and take of the backlog of returned computers.
spoke with someone at monarch today about the problem. he said monarch has just hired two new repair people to try and take care of the backlog.
not acceptable.
either, they are suffering from growth they did not plan properly for, or else they have been shipping junk.
probably the former.
Update: One month later, I have my computer back, and it is working fine. They tried hard to make it right. However, tech support forgot to "reseal" the harddrive before they shipped it back. I had to reformat the harddrive, and lost some data.
I still think they are growing wihtout properly planning for the growth, frankly."

I placed the order on Wednesday morning, I received notice the item was shipped via FedEx Wednesday night, and the power supply was in my hands Friday afternoon! "I purchased an AMD A64 3000+ Venice and DFI NF4 Ultra bundle from Monarch, and I Have to say that I am very disappointed. The motherboard they shipped me that the Venice was installed in had a BIOS version dating back to 01/25/05, which could not even recognize the CPU! I had to download the latest BIOS off DFI's website and flash my own freaking motherboard just to get my computer to work. That was frustrating trying to figure out what the problem was. Thanks a lot, Monarch. That was real sloppy.

I decided to go with Monarch again, for an Opteron 144. Again, nothing but disappointment. I seem to be the only one here. I ordered the CPU on Nov 30th, and it is now Dec 6th. I have received no email regarding my item being shipped, so I had to go and check myself. My order status still says that it's processing in the warehouse, and will ship in 1-2 days. It said this 4 days ago. Normally, I wouldn't care, but these guys haven't earned any leeway from me yet. Plus, I wanted to get my item quickly, so I opted for 2-day shipping. So much for that, right?"

"I placed an order for some memory on May 2 and tried to cancel the order a few days later. They said the order had shipped so they cannot cancel it. I then ask if I can refuse to accept it and they said if it gets returned for any reason (even if it was not open), they will not accpet it. And if they did accept it, they will charge a 15% restocking fee even if it was unopened. There return policy sucks.
UPDATE:
They called me and clearified a few things. After reading my situation described above, they will send me a return label and once they receive the item back, they will issue a store credit for the full amount. This is much better than the 15% restocking fee but not as good as a refund. This is one of the few online stores that will not issue a full refund on unopened return items. I hate store credits. If you know 100% sure what you want and you don't make human errors, then this store has competive on memories. Although their return policy is not very good, since they called me back and were willing to work things out, I am upgrading my rating by one notch."
