"This is an edited review (with a now-improved rating). They had a good price on the Panasonic Lumix battery and charger. I got several calls from customer service notifying me that the charger was out of stock, and they tried to convince me to buy the cheaper and lower-quality alternative. I declined, and she didn't push it too hard. She said she'd remove that from my order, and that the battery would ship the following week.
Three weeks later, I had received nothing, so I wrote a negative review. They were quick to call me in response to my critique and eager to make it right. They sent the battery to me immediately. As I've come to find, the charger really is backordered everywhere--even from Panasonic themselves.
So, I'm happy now and willing to give them the benefit of the doubt--maybe it was just a miscommunication. If I find the right price for another item, then I may give them another try."
"Definitely this is one of the bait-and-switch businesses. Ordered the Nikon SB-600 flash, got a call in few hours offering to buy another product with similar or even better features for cheaper price (not Nikon brand, but fits Nikon camera). I asked why do they sell a product which is not in stock and was told that it was sold out and it takes 2-3 days (why so long???!!!) to update the product availability on their web-site. I turned their offer down and cancelled my order. Please be informed that you are getting good prices along with a chance not to get a product after disclosing your personal information with your payment information. Good luck."

Right after i've posted this review Mark called.
He said that my order was canceled and he is going to send the money back to my paypal account (just checked -- money were returned indeed).
Mark and I had a short conversation during which Mark made an effort to be polite, however he did not succeed.
As result: i didn't get the flash, but i got money back. Which is actually not so bad after all.
I can't confirm or deny was it fraud attempt or not.
But i know for sure that i NEVER will order something from "New World Video Direct / NWV Direct / nwvdirect.com" again.

Well... What can i say -- read before you buy. And not just store's overall rating, but as many customers reviews as you can.
Here is the story -- 10/20/2010 i ordered Nikon SB-600 flash from nwvdirect.com ($20 price difference, 10%, wow), today (Oct 22) i got the mail from Mark (NWV Direct Sales & Support Team). He claims that they have an issue with my order.
So -- we'll see. I'll try to keep whole discussion in email and will update this review accordingly."
"NWV Direct is a wonderful place to get all of your photography needs. I ordered a petal lens hood for my camera and received it within the next couple of days. It was well packaged and perfect! Come to find out, I accidentally ordered the wrong size. I emailed them and told them of my problem, and they responded very quickly. They ordered and shipped me a new one that day at no extra cost and I will be donating the bigger petal lens hood to a photography school I work with in Chicago. They have been a great help to me and I will be sure to place my next camera need order with them!"
