"I ordered a canon bp 819 battery, they called me back and said they do not have it in stock and is not expected to come too. They were trying to sell me a different brand for the same price

I could get a different brand battery for way cheap outside then the price for canon. The money was paid thru paypal and i got it refunded without any problems, the bad thing is why do they take orders as if they have in stock and try to sell different stuff, infact the person was arguing me that the different brand is far better than canon, quite funny."

"On a scale from 1-10 a "11" the minute I got a reply from the online order with-in 20 minutes recieved a call concerning my order that some of the products were back ordered and the manufacture from Japan wasn't sure when the products were going to be available. ( I had been getting this everywhere on these particular products.) -Filters for the FZ100- NWV offered a superior product at the same price being offered - made some quick adjustments Confirmed in an email and the order was confirmed and updated and mailed right away. Recieved with in 3 days through ground shipping. If NWV direct handles every order like this they will be getting all my business.

"I ordered an OEM battery for a Lumix LZ40 camera and got the same "out of stock" scam. I was upsold to a "higher capacity" aftermarket battery and told it metered just like the Lumix (NOT!). Since I was leaving the country for vacation, time was a major factor and I took the deal. I later found the same item at several sources at a much lower price. From what I'm reading, this hustle is obviously a standard business practice for New World Video. I've had very good luck ordering through Amazon and I'm amazed that they would tolerate New World as a vendor. It undermines the credibility of Amazon as a reliable online marketer."

NWV Direct offered a really good price on the Canon 430 EX II flash. As soon as I ordered it, they sent me an email that my item was on back order.

After two weeks I inquired with them about the status of my order and they say "UNKNOWN ETA". I finally requested to cancel the order, and had to call again to get a cancellation confirmation.

BEWARE of these guys."

"Bait and switch scammers. They show you that what you want (a name brand, good flash) is in stock online, then after you place an order, they call and tell you that they are out of stock, show you another flash for considerably more, then do you a favor by giving it to you for as much as the original oem part. They suck, the products they sell suck."
