Superbly Patient, Excellent Service

"Rob, one of the nicest and most patent customer service representatives I’ve spoken to, helped me a great deal with my issue. I don’t blame Newegg for the problem, though the item in question was a Vizio VHT510 5.1 surround sound bar listed on Newegg Flash as new, it turns out it was a 3rd party seller. The first red flag should’ve been that despite free shipping, the shipping cost for the slowest option went up roughly $320. I thought it was an error, and possibly $3.20, so I put it in my cart and it was actually $320, which also added slightly higher taxes to the item that was initially on sale for $114. The item was sent used, scratched in spots on the subwoofer with dust and human hair on the sound bar itself. In addition to that, it was missing parts, and came in a ridiculously large cardboard box that would be difficult to fit in all but my SUV with the back seat down.

I had a universal Vizio remote that was needed due to the item shipping without its remote, or for that matter, it’s power brick, which when googled, was the same as another Vizio item I own, which allowed me to test the item out. It was riddled with issues, the volume button on the actual sound bar was defective, the power button had to be pressed more than once to turn it on, and didn’t work to turn it off at all. When the center speaker volume was raised, static would come through intermittently on a clean optical digital connection. When it did work, it sounded nice, but I promptly called Newegg, who reached out to the seller to let them know. They responded back about a refund and shipping the item back. I contacted them today and spoke to Rob at Newegg.

Rob was exceptionally patient and kind and did his best to speak to the seller about sending a new item as a replacement, the problem is, they didn’t have any in stock, so he went back and forth with the seller over a period of one hour to find a resolution, and was calm and relaxed. While I didn’t get the resolution I wanted, he put in my review of the 3rd party seller, which refected the aforementioned situation accurately. Rob helped me to the very best of his ability and that’s the most anyone could ask of someone helping them out. He was sincerely helpful and it was greatly appreciated, which made a frustrating situation go far more smoothly.

Newegg price match policy

"I emailed or spoke with two reps trying to resolve an issue matching a competitor's lower price. There were two math errors and an issue revolving around the difference in tax applied to a sale. There was some misinformation about applying multiple gift cards (issued as the price match) on a future purchase.

In the end, Dee (third rep) managed to straighten everything out to my complete satisfaction.

Until Will in customer service handled my issue, it was all going to nought!

"Newegg.com has been a great resource for shopping; but, recently I had an issue regarding a gift card gone missing due to some technical screw up. I used the customer service online platform/chat and that just didn't go too well. My evidence, I waited two weeks with no reply and now curious as to the level of difficulty involved to solve my issue, I called Newegg.com this time. The person with whom I spoke with, Will, was pleasant, polished, quick witted, personable and quick to solve my issue. I believe that Will should be used as the customer service cloning specimen and I am glad that Newegg.com has him on its team. Made my experience a great one!"

Good prices, as described, fast service, good customer service when you get through

"I love their products and prices. Service was fast, and processing a return over the phone was easy, however, I had to enter my phone number and wait an hour for a call back. I had to call back regarding the same order, and this time I tried the chat service. I was number 41 in line and it seemed it would be another hour. I tried the texting service. An hour or so later I received a text saying their texting service was down. "

"I've been waiting over a month for a touch screen computer. It took almost an hour to get a hold of someone from Newegg and when I finally did they couldn't give me an update. Deffective & Damaged Products! Horrible Customer Service and Resolutions.

"Purchased two Klipsch Icon KF-28 Dual 8" 2-way Floorstanding Speakers on 8/4/18. They were delivered by Fedx all busted up and destroyed. Fedx driver told me to contact Newegg. Newegg had me send photos of all the damage so I did. After several days they got back with me and told me they would send replacements. I asked that they send UPS and mark them as fragile. Few days later fedx showed up and showed me again that the packaging was destroyed and the speakers were all busted up. Newegg customer service had me send photos again and this time stated they would get it right. At this point I have been charged for three speakers when I only purchased two, only have 1 good speaker delivered and over three weeks later they are still giving me excuses to why I have not received my order or refund. They have lied to me, not return phone calls and on 9/3/18 I emailed replyied a rep that lied about inventory and told her if I did not receive a actual phone call from someone resolving this issue I would be posting negative reviews. As you can see they do not care. Horrible products because of being defective or damaged and also horrible customer service. Still have not received full refund or replacement!!"
