"I spoke with Eva at New Egg, who was delightful and helpful. The rating is only for the marketplace seller Unbeatable Sale, which I have to conclude is a scam company (should have read the piles of reviews essentially declaring this). Company had a picture and product description that did not match the product title -- so it's impossible to tell what is actually being sold. To prevent a return, I tried to cancel the order as it had not yet shipped. I called Unbeatable Sale, spoke to a human who then transferred me to a number for canceling the order. The transfer only went to a voicemail. I called New Egg, who couldn't reach them at all. Eva tried another strategy, and ultimately reached Unbeatable Sale, who confirmed the order had not yet gone through yet refused to cancel the order. They could not clarify what the product actually was. I continued to send messages to their e-chat customer service requesting order cancellation. Based on other reviews, it seems quite possible the item will never actually ship...but if it does, I'm going to work with my credit card payment to refuse the charge, and will send back whatever is sent unopened. I've had good luck with NewEgg in the past, and I understand that linking out to other markets increases the diversity of product, but they have to maintain some level of control (beyond the rather hollow "purchases from these sellers are covered...") over these marketplaces if they are to maintain credibility. Otherwise, NewEgg falls to the level of their worst marketplace seller, which, in my opinion, is definitely Unbeatable Sale. I implore you to check the reseller when buying, and if this company is involved, please go running at your top speed in the other direction, hands over your ears, wearing a helmet, whatever it takes to keep you safe from this dishonest company.
