"I had a problem with a product that needed replacement. The support specialist was very understanding and helpful. Even though I had missed my return date they gave me an exception to the rule and replaced it without any hesitation which is almost unheard of.

"The merchant fulfilled the order quickly but made a mistake when shipping. Due to some extenuating circumstances, the item was required immediately and we paid a hefty shipping add-on to get the item shipped as quickly as possible. In this case, the merchant made a mistake and shipped the item a much slower method that will take the item a full week (it still has not arrived) to reach the destination. While the merchant credited us the shipping cost, this mistake cost my business several thousand dollars. I appreciate the merchant's willingness to try to make this right but the financial impact to my business is substantial. While the verdict is still out on the quality of the item, I would suggest clear communication when placing an order with this merchant."

"I've bought quite a few things from Newegg.com over the years, and they have always had the best (or almost the best) price, as well as free (or nearly free) shipping. They move a lot of product, so i guess it's inevitable there are going to be problems from time to time. Out of many dozens of purchases i've made, only the last two most recent ones had issues.
The most recent, and the reason i'm writing this review, was an intel cpu stock cooler that came with a broken fan blade. The box was perfectly fine, sealed, and intact, so i can only guess there was a material flaw in the ABS fan (or whatever it's made of).
Anyway, i contacted Newegg, and after showing them the damage one of their customer service team (Vance D!) right away offered a partial refund/store credit for the fan. I'm sure a full return would have also been an option, but this worked out better, and allowed me to upgrade the stock cooler for next to nothing.
So it turns out they're pretty serious about that "Hassle-Free Return Policy", and for that, i thank them.
I guess, to finish the story though, the other item that i had issues with was an ASUS motherboard i purchased the previous year that had intermittent and hard to pin down booting problems. Partly due to the intermittency and partly due to my short available time to work on the computer, i was unable to figure out the problem until around 40 days after receipt. So i had to go through ASUS directly, and write out all of the specifics of the problems and fill out an RMA, etc., etc. The total turnaround was about 2.5wks, and i ended up paying the same as a much better motherboard. IF i had caught the problem in 30 days, i have no doubt that Newegg would have made the situation right, and done so in much less time than ASUS. So get your trouble-shooting done soon!
Newegg definitely still stays extremely competitive, and manages to maintain great customer service as well. And that's why i'll keep coming back!"
