"Fantastic kit, and while it says RTF (ready to fly) I have yet to see a true RTF on any plane setup. But it was a really easy project from start to finish. The kit was complete and looked great even before it was setup.

While the instruction manual is saprse anyone that feels unsure of how to proceed should watch a fer of the videos where you can pick-up many good tips. I normanally fly helis so I checked several videos and the help sites to see what gotchas there might be.

I thought the break-in period and techniques for assuring I would have no problems were readly handy and easily located. It might have cost on a couple hunderd but I didn't want problems that could destory the plane before I had even gotten off the ground.

Running in the engine I found on a link. Actually someone was complaining because they had a problem, (I don't think they really followed the suggestions closley). But after reading the suggestion I could possibly avoid the same problem and now felt more secure in my outing.

Another video mentioned sanding the joints to remove the pre-painted surface paint for a better joint. I did and in doing this I guess I paid more attention in putting the kit togather.

It looks great and so far all flights have gone off without any problems and I really am having a fantastic time with this plane...

Its a great package, I also bought a wall charger as this kit comes with a clip charger for the car battery. The next one I get will be eaiser and I will keep flying on..."

"In the last year, I've purchased many items from Nitroplanes.com, totaling over $1,000. I've usually received the item in 1-2 days. Excellent. Their prices are very good, their products have been very good; in the past.
My last purchase was very disappointing. Once I opened the shipping box, I realized that the product was unusable, and had been severly damaged when it had been sold previously. I communicated my problem to several people at Nitro, and was repeatedly told someone would get back to me. After waiting three days, I filed a complaint with PayPal. Today I was sent an email stating Nitro had given me a full refund through PayPal. Fantastic. Nitro gave me a full refund without even having to send back the defective merchandise. Even though I had trouble getting someone to acknowledge I had a problem. The end result was great, and I will definitely continue to purchase from Nitroplanes."

"My first but probably not may last purchase, a 98" Salto sailplan from Nitro Models. First impressions were positive nice fibre glass fuselage wings and tailplane nicely covered. Upon starting build I find the manual small difficult to read, the isometric drawings inorrect for the wing anti rotation rod the rubber band wing retainers were all shown backwards. The rotation rod was missing, the wing holes seemed blocked but actuly required drilling to accept rod, no mention of this, the fuselage whilst nicely painted is flimsy buckling with very little finger pressure.there are just two bulkheads one at the wing joiner and the seccond one about 3" to the rear, there is no anti crush cross brace in fuselage, a paper support tube for wing rod is the only other thing. I decided that I needed to provide a brace at the L/E inside of the fuselage. also to use a piece of of blue foam shaped to match forward portion of fuselage. I would warn others to do a simular modification because from expierience I know on the first minimum contact with terra firma that fuselage will be reduced to shreads.
Conclusion the model is pretty good value for the money paid, but could be great with a little more quality controll and more attention to instruction manual, from other threads I read this is a common problem "

"The plane looked great but thats where it stops, put it this way ... the Wright Brothers first flight was longer than mines with the F16..the plane got only about 10 feet, i tried adjusting trim tabs to correct for the barrel rolling but nothing cud be done. Engine never seem to have enough thrust to power the plane even with a fully charged battery... please nitro planes, i would appreciate if you send me a plane that works..or even if it didn't let me know and i'll just hang it up for decoration.
