Never again

"Shipping took forever. After talking to rep they said optic had shake awake, after I received my package 8 days longer then they said. It didn’t have option. I will pay more and order from another source. "

POOR shipping.

"The product I ordered was in stock, it took 3 DAYS for the order to process and then their “free” shipping took 5 days to receive the package, why take so long to process a package, of 1 item? Ordered from optics planet multiple times, but must say this will be my last. Seems like customer service has gone down hill. "

Optics Planet uses a variety of reliable shipping carriers to ensure your order is delivered in a timely and secure manner. Our Value Shipping comes free on most orders over $49, including this order. Value Shipping is listed at checkout as a 5-10 business day shipping method. Optics Planet offers upgraded shipping methods which can be selected at checkout. Once you place an order, the most efficient carrier is automatically selected based on the destination, size, and weight of your package. Most in-stock orders ship within 1-2 business days from our warehouse based in Illinois.
Your order was placed on January 1 and since that was a national holiday, we did not have staff preparing orders at our warehouse. The package was shipped on January 3 and delivered on January 8.

"I have been a customer of OpticsPlanet.com for years and they are one of my favorites. They have a broad spectrum from high end to your basic line products. Their chat line is helpful for general information and their customer service has been super to deal with on the phone or email. The staff in their customer service department has always worked with me and are very nice to deal with. If you ever have an issue or concern just call them up with kind words and most likely you'll leave a happier customer. The packages I have received are well packaged and shipping is more than fair. They send you tracking number when its shipped so you know the day it will arrive. "

Late Order Complaint Response

"Needs improvement. Sending a generic, cookie cutter response only makes customers more angry when shipping/delivery is much longer than predicted when a order was placed. I received one of these, it could have applied to any of the thousands of products that OP sells. How about a little more personal customer satisfaction???????????????

Also, making a customer look up an order number when you request a review is annoying.

Vortex Venom

"I've dealt with OpticsPlanet since back in the late 90's I believe and always had a good experience with you. This is my second purchase of the Venom optic and a great fix for my aging eyes when using pistols and revolvers. It also has a good review history of holding up to stout recoil and not breaking or going off adjustment. This latest purchase will be put to the test once this weather breaks."

Unfortunately, some of our inventory does indeed come from the manufacturer and extended back order times are expected on popular items.
This being said the information that you were provided with is all the information we obtained from the manufacturer at the time. We completely understand the frustration and inconvenience this can cause our customers; that we truly try to obtain and provide our customers as much updated information we may receive from the manufacturer. Nonetheless, this does not justify the fact that we did not provide an update on the estimated time for shipment of your order.
