lying about their stock and will not return emails

"I ordered a couple of products from optics planet when I put them in my cart they were in stock they took my money and then sent me an email a day later saying they were 5 to 7 weeks on back order ,they will not return my emails or refund my money for the two items I'm stuck with waiting 5 to 7 weeks!!don't waste your time or money with these guys!!! I have changed my review from one star till three stars they did not charge me for the items they did not have ,I may do business with them in the future but they're shipping does take a while."

Unfortunately, some of our inventory does indeed come from the manufacturer and extended back order times are expected on popular items. When your order was placed online, we authorized the funds for the entire amount of the order. However, when the in stock products were prepared for shipment, we only captured funds for those items; you were not charged for the backordered item. We have removed this backordered item per your request and an updated invoice has been sent via e-mail.
We are truly sorry for the slower response time via e-mail. We are experiencing an unprecedented volume of customer communication due to interest and demand in our product offerings. Never again, don’t ignore this. Go Amazon

"Placed an order for a few accessories for my AR. Everything was showed as in stock. Got an email a few days later saying some of the things I ordered was not in stock but everything else was ready to ship. 2 weeks later still have not received anything. Called customer service multiple times and am unable to get ahold of anyone. Have waited for over 30 minutes several times and was hung up on several times. Just spend a couple extra dollars and go with amazon or whatever else. Optics planet is a joke, don’t be fooled!!!"

Won't fill order

"Ordered over a month ago and still haven't received my products nor an anticipated delivery date. Customer service is horrible and just gives the same canned response. When pushed they just blame the manufacture about lack of supply. Yet they advertised as "in stock" when I ordered. Very bad business."

"Placed an order three months ago on internet; first was cancelled somehow. Placed second order over phone; have heard nothing. Find out after 5 weeks the order is suppose to arrive today. Will never order from this place again!!!"

Terrible Service

"I placed an order online to Optics Planet. First, it took them a full week to fill the order. It was sent FedEx and was to be delivered by the US Postal Service. The USPS immediately returned the package to Optics Planet, because they had not included a street address on the package label. After about a week, I called Optics Planet for an update. They told me it would take another 5 to 10 days before they received the package back. I told them I was in a bit of a hurry, so they said they would "expedite" the package as soon as they received it. When tracking notified me that the package had been delivered to Optics planet, I waited another 2+ days for them to reship it. When I had not received a shipping notification, I called them again to check the status. They said it would be shipped in 48 hours. I would not call that "expediting" the package, so I cancelled the order. If everything had gone as planned, I still would have to call their service "poor", but their attitude of "tough luck, buddy, you'll get it your order when we get around to it" really took the cake. I will not be ordering from them again."

"Love O.P. they always have what I'm looking for at competitive pricing and coupled coupons makes O.P. my go to for all my AR parts. Shipping is a bit slow, hence the 4 star rating otherwise you guys are 5 star quality and first class customer service. Slow Shipping

"My Experience with Optics Planet is like many others here. Good product, good price and extremely slow shipping. They are great at replying to the complaints here, but the shipping is bad. My order did not even get out of their factory for 4 day and I paid extra for faster shipping. I really felt like I had ordered a product that was not in stock, although they said it was. It took close to two weeks to get my order. I even called to cancel my order, but they said it was to far down the shipping line and it still did not ship for a day. In the end, I don't know if I will order from them again, but if I do, I will just be planning on it taking longer than it should!! I know that they will respond and make it out like they did everything just great. They didn't!!

"bought from twice so far, it always comes rapidly to California. One minor issue with back order but they reached out to me and solved it quickly. I'm assuming they're associated with campsaver, cant recommend either enough"
